Hi There,

I have some problems installing : Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option_tree() in /public/sites/www.bas-p.nl/wp-content/themes/wordpress_survive/header.php on line 18

Can you help me out?

Thx, Walter

EvGreen

from the looks of it I am guessing you didn’t install the optiontree plugin :)

you can send me an email with your admin/password to the wordpress installation and I’ll take care of it

cheers

The world gets another slider + 3 blurbs ….

EvGreen

good layout comes in many flavors.. just like pizza :)

you can throw out the “blurbs” as you call them, replace them with some other content, or even use full width page template without slider and simply arrange the content to your liking

take care

hello EvGreen , i would like to ask you about your wordpress theme , if on the first page ( home ) i can put under slide show, posts from blog ? thank you very much and i like your work!

EvGreen

at this moment not, but I’ll add this possibility in a update :)

cheers

EvGreen

I got the update ready now, will do some testing, and it will get official next week. If any of the buyers want it already, mail me through envato contact form and I’ll send the updated files.

Thanks for a great theme and a very useful tutorial. One question: how to change the colour of the copyright notice? The text is not showing up too well on my footer.

EvGreen

Hi dkm500, glad you like it. :)

To gain full control over it try editing: color:#2F2F2F in ”.credits” class in the style.css of the theme (line 1177). The #2f2f2f is html color code. Here you can see which colors have which color codes: ColorPick.

If it feels complicated – mail me, I’ll explain it in greater detail :)

EvGreen, thanks I sorted it.

is is it possible to have the psd ? for more personnalisation. thanks for your answer.

EvGreen

hi sylvain05

I didn’t include the psd files becouse they are quite a mess of many styles and layers that I did or didn’t eventually use in the design, which would be pretty confusing for users :) But if you’d want to have a go at it I could send it, no problems.

cheers

thank you for your answer, i will contact you by email best regards

Sylvain

EvG, I am having trouble setting up theme. I need your email to send you more info.

EvGreen

you can send me message via envato here

or directly via the email that is shown at the top of HELP file

What would it cost to install Wordpress + this theme on my server?

EvGreen

Hi SoSoMedia

Well, depends if you want some additional customisation, but I do it for 79$. You can mail me for more info.

cheers

Hi EvGreen

I’ve seen that some text is converted to .png image. How can I avoid it?

Greetings from Barcelona

EvGreen

Hi jordivid

You probably mean Cufon font replacement, it’s a plugin that does it so you can view nice, non-standard fonts. It’s nothing to worry about, search engines are all ok with it, as the font is rendered by your browser. But if you insist on turning it off, you could go to template folder, and in /js/jquery_site_enhanced.js delete the cufon funtion.

love Barca :D

I’m interested in purchasing your theme to used for a church website, but I have a couple of questions…

1. Do the images in the slider on the homepage only come from posts? We have a current slider and use it to advertise for upcoming events.

2. I noticed you are working on setting up the three text areas at the bottom to display recent posts…I would need that capabilitiy also, but I would like to use it for 3 different feeds…a blog feed, podcast feed and upcoming events feed. Is that possible?

I love the overall look!

Thanks! Jessica

EvGreen

Hi Jessica, glad you like it!

1) – yes, the slides are being fed from posts that belong to a category that you select in options panel. I.e. you select that you want posts from category “slides” to be displayed and then just select how many of the most recent posts will be there.

2) – it can be done thanks to advanced categories plugin, it allows you to select which category of posts will be listed, So you can have “Latest News”, “Latest Events”, “Charity work” etc.

Hi EvGreen,

I would like to buy your theme but i need customizations for your theme and I want to know if you can do that? I need a box in the header or there will be a twitter widget or a box from a custom personalized item… and different little things from css.

In exchange for a fee of course. I need this word for next week.

thank you for your quick response, my email is : > sylvain (at) consultantinternet.com

EvGreen

I’ve responded to your email.

Hi EvGreen,

I have a quick question.

I am interested in your theme, but I want to know how can I set up the slider on the homepage to link to pages instead of posts.

EvGreen

Hi Antwondavissays

There is an update coming to the theme that will allow setting up to what will the slide link. It will be based on a custom post field. It’s ready and It should be updated tommorow.

cheers

edit: As an example I just updated the live preview, you will notice now, that second slide (with the tree) will link to Contact page.

Hi Dan,

I just contact you by e-mail because i have many errors when i have activated the theme and i can’t activate some plugins you provide.

thanks to contacting me back as soon as possible.

Sylvain

EvGreen

the theme uses php5, possible errors come from php4 servers, you just have to switch it in your server options :)

The update is now available.

  • The theme now allows displaying blog posts on homepage, under the slider.
  • Users can now specify what the slides would be linking to. To add a link to a slide, edit the slide post, and add custom field named slide_url, then put the link itself(i.e. http://www.google.com) in value field.

Files that were updated: style.css, mainpage.php, functions.php, theme-options-2010-12-16.xml, sidebar-mainpage.php

Hope you had great Christmas guys, take care.

Does the blog have a full width option/

How difficult (or easy) is it to change colors, fonts, etc?

Jeanette

EvGreen

Hi Jeanette

the blog got just one option – with the sidebar :) but it’s a 40$ job to make it fullwidth

as for the changing colors/etc: background is made from 2-images: one covering the top part and one for the footer. You can upload your own backgrounds, and set their repeating (repeat-x,repeat-y,repeat,no-repeat) through admin panel. You can also adjust the background colors thanks to color pickers – same goes for the main links (links and links when hovered). If you want to edit the color of plain text, you would have to edit the .css file.

The main frame of the theme (white column) can be edited only via image editing software.

edit: the heading font can be changed by editing/replacing .js files (if you ever worked with cufon plugin it’s nothing new).

Hi Evgreen, again.

1. I amb working with your theme (I like it) but sometimes I can’t not save changes in OptionTree.

2. Is possible add the Form Contact into the frontpage text widget?

Thanks,

Jordi

EvGreen

Hey Jordi

1.-Hmm never had any problems with OptionTree before. Does this apply to saving some specific changes or it just happens randomly?

2.-Text widget-not really, the contact form is just too big to fit in the 1/3rd of a page, but, you can make the theme display the additional content on the home page (via option tree in Mainpage tab -“Display additional content on mainpage? Yes/No”) And then put the contact form via Pages=>Home. You can copy the content of Contact page into Home page to see what I mean.

cheers, -dan

I’ve just uploaded and activated the theme and have a blank screeen on the front end.

I don’t see the options panel on the back end.

Is this a common occurence?

EvGreen

Follow the walkthrough tbritt :) You can find it in HELP folder. Basically you need to install the plugins as well to make the theme work (mainly the optiontree).

Shoot me emails if you still won’t be able to get it to work, I’ll help you, take care.

Oh, I’m so accustomed to the theme options being included in the theme itself.

I’ll install the plugins and give it a try.

Thanks!

Bought your theme, and I love it! One problem… I’ve got a gap underneath my text widgets that I can’t seem to get rid of. It’s a bit of an eye sore. Any ideas why it’s there??—> http://www.genesisonecreative.com/site

EvGreen

Hi Eric

Hmm it must be one of the plugins. You can try to open footer.php and cut the first line of code there which is <?php wp_footer(); ?> , and paste it at line 74, just before the google analytics code.

It should work, mail me if it won’t, I got some other ideas to fix it. Actually mail me either way, I’ll help you make those advanced contact forms look better :)

Oh and optionTree currently got a small bug that will add slashes / to quotes ’” in textareas, after few saves of changes (like the one slash you got in slogan area), just remove them at the end of editing.

Like your content btw, very esthetic.

Default-user

Thanks! That worked perfectly! I also mailed you about the contact forms.

When I installed I got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option_tree() in /home/content/s/k/o/skottswanson/html/wp-content/themes/wordpress_survive/header.php on line 18
