This is a feature that was added in Swagger v1.1

i bought this theme through an envato package. How can I get the swagger v1.1?

ThemeBlvd

Apologies, but you can’t without purchasing a license to the theme. As stated on the Envato bundle page, these are completely separate from the actual theme authors that sell them. This is an “as-is” purchase from Envato that does not include support or updates, unfortunately.

Three quick questions about the responsive mobile version:

1. I would like to make one page/menu link redirect (when people are looking at the mobile view) to an exclusively mobile page (not seen on the normal page)—is there a way I can do this?

2. The menu bar is quite chunky on the mobile version, is there a way in CSS I can specify the mobile version of the menu exclusively and reduce the padding so it doesn’t take up so much vertical space?

3. Is there a way to conditionally include mobile-only content to normal posts/pages? Maybe that would be a good shortcode for the future?

Thanks a million… loving the theme. My site is here: http://targettrek.com

Cheers!

1. There’s really no feature in the theme for this, and you’re not going to be able to accomplish it with CSS. You’d have to rig up some custom function that you create from your Child theme’s functions.php. Maybe hook it to “wp” and combine conditionals to check for if it some is_page(‘whatever’) and wp_is_mobile.

function my_redirect(){
    if( is_page('whatever') && wp_is_mobile() ) {
        wp_redirect( 'http://yoursite.com/whatever' );
        exit;
    }
}
add_action( 'wp', 'my_redirect' );

http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_redirect

2. Yup, you can target the menu’s navigation on mobile with media queries the same way the theme does (for reference you can see /assets/css/responsive.css).

@media (max-width: 480px) {
    #access li a {
        padding: ...;
    }
    /* And any other styles for mobile ... */
}

3. When working with your pages/posts, if you edit under the “Text” tab (formally the “HTML” tab prior to WordPress 3.5), you could wrap your content in DIV’s that utilize these CSS classes:

======

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974. The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

Wow. Thank you for the brilliant reply.

I’ve combined your great help with my own learning… this is much more simple than I thought. Others might also benefit so I’ll share it here.

Using the responsive classes here: http://dev.themeblvd.com/tutorial/responsive-utility-classes/ that you gave me.

And going to the Menus and clicking Screen Options (top right of Wordpress) you can apply css classes to your wordpress menus and turn on/off menu items for different screen types.

Brilliant! In this way I’ve been able to conditionally load different menu items based on browser size etc.

Thank you.

Use of support forum mandatory as of January 1, 2013

We’ve recently setup a new support forum and we’ve been slowly transitioning all support there over the past few months.

As promised, starting January 1, 2013, we have made it mandatory that all support given to verified buyers will be done there.

Support Forum: http://support.themeblvd.com

Support Terms: http://support.themeblvd.com/help/#terms

No support will be given through the ThemeForest comment system. The only exceptions will include pre-sale questions and any issues you may have accessing the support forums.

We apologize for the extra step this takes you to register for the support forum and verify your purchases, however we hope that the forum will make support easier for buyers in the long run.

Hey, awesome theme. Thanks so much for a great job! The theme is really easy to change for someone like me who is pretty much a beginner-intermediate wordpress person!

I’m having one problem I’m hoping you might be able to help me with. In the Theme Options under Footer Copyright text, I’m trying to open a link in a blank window, but it keeps on erasing the target=”_blank” code. Is there somewhere I can change this?

Thanks, Jodi

Hello Jason, I purchased Swagger as part of a Web Designer Pro Bundle. As such, I can’t update to the latest version. Please advise.

Hello,

Unfortunately, as stated on the Envato Bundle’s purchase page, they refer to this as an “as-is” purchase that doesn’t come with any support or updates. It honestly is totally separate from the individual authors of the items in bundle.

In order to get updates or support, you’d need to purchase a standard license through ThemeForest.

Hi, what code I can use inside the builder > Manage layouts to change language with qtranslate? I use <-:-> and [:language] but don’t work. Thanks!!

Hello,

All support is done through our support forum at http://support.themeblvd.com—Come on over there, and we’ll see if we can figure out some workaround for you.

Is it possible to add a search box on the homepage? Better still, can it be added to the menu bar?

Thank you for your consideration

Asher

ThemeBlvd

Hello Asher,

There is no feature in this theme to add a search box anywhere in the header. Without customizations, you could only add one to widgetized areas, like a sidebar, for example, with WordPress’s “Search” widget.

Default-user

Thank you for your prompt reply. Just in case, do you offer customization solutions at all?

ThemeBlvd

Apologies, but no we do not.

I’m looking for a theme to buy and am impressed with a number of your themes, including Swagger. My business is greeting cards and I’m faced with displaying landscape and portrait images, plus several with a different aspect ratio, which can be quite ugly. The choice appears to be a uniform grid which crops each image, necessitating the viewer to click on each one (not my favorite option), or some sort of floating grid solution whereby they can see each card without clicking. I’ve seen a couple, like the Media Grid plugin, or Grid-A-Licious 3 plugin, but would they or something like that work with any of your themes? Or do you have a way that you think any of your themes might do the job? I want so badly for one of them to work! :)

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

I have a plugin you can use to customize the image sizes used in the theme’s post grids. Using the plugin, there are two ways I think you could solve your issue.

1) You could make the height something that can never be reached like 9999 so WordPress just crops them to the correct width. This will result in larger images.

2) You could change the image’s hard crop value to false. This result in smaller images, but possibly less symmetrical to the post grid and not always filling the columns width-wise.

Thank you VERY much, and wow! Such a swift reply. That is truly impressive. No wonder everyone seems so happy with your themes. Support is so important!

Hi, I purchased this theme as part of the Web Design pro Bundle back in February of 1012, however when accessing your forums via the link above in your last post it will not accept the code, I managed to register but cannot look at any posts because of this, please help.

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

I apologize, but unfortunately as stated on the the bundle purchase page, Envato provides this as an “as-is” purchase that doesn’t include any support or updates.

On a personal note, these purchases honestly don’t have anything to do with the individual theme authors. Envato asks us if it is okay to include our items in the bundle, and then we tell them it’s okay.

Hi. For the life of me I can’t get the navigation roll over color to change in my child theme. I can’t find the id for it. I have the orange style sheet activated and my child theme child sheet. I have even tried coping over the orange style sheet, and changed the images to match the colors I need, but no luck. This is typically a really simple change so I’m not sure why its been such a challenge. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I also bought Swagger as part of a bundle and I’m very happy to pay for the site license if I upgrade. Because I can’t use your support forum (yet) I’d like to ask a pre-official-buy question here if I may. Is it easy to upgrade from Swagger v1.0.7 to this new fancy version? In other words, would upgrading the theme affect content or slides on my client site at http://faranda-solar-electrical.com/ or can I simply upload the new over the old as with most theme updates?

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

There’s nothing really hard about updating. It’s really just a simple matter of updating the theme on your server as you eluded to.

Some possible things to note that come to mind:

1) While there is a fallback in place, your site will run more efficiently if you re-save your sliders after updating.

2) There are a few new crop sizes. So, make sure to run the regenerate thumbnails plugin after updating: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

If you have any other problems after updating, feel free to let me know in the support forums. —http://support.themeblvd.com

Hello again Jason, I’m considering purchasing this theme for it’s blogging capability, but do you happen to know if plugins like AutoBlogged (http://autoblogged.com/wordpress-autoblog-plugin/autoblogged-features/) will work with your specific system or do you know of any conflicts? This is a strange project where the client just wants to import a specific RSS Feed for display.

Thanks

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

I truthfully wouldn’t have any idea how this plugin would incorporate into the theme, but if you’re just using to generate posts somehow to your WordPress site, I can’t think of how it really would conflict in any way. The actual generating of WordPress posts wouldn’t have anything to do with the theme, as far I can think of.

alexander_lau

Thanks, I was pretty sure you were going to say that and just wanted to confirm. There are plenty of plugins (most of them free) that do very much the same thing, but Autoblogged seems to perform the RSS to Post function better than most. Again, an odd project, I’ve already informed the client that their SEO isn’t going to be very good by taking already published content from the likes of NASA. Anyway, I’ll probably be buying this in the near future, if all goes planned. :-)

I am sorry to bother you via your comments section but I too have purchased this theme via the Bundle and I see you are not of a mind to supply updates to bundle purchasers so I will ask BEFORE i buy this seperately. I have used this theme for a client’s site and the singular problem I have is the video player does NOT work on ios. My client has a video on his homepage and it will not play for IOS users. Has this issue been resolved, if so I shall purchase the template AGAIN. If not I need to find an html5 player that will work with the theme.

Thanks so much.

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

How Envato chooses to sell their bundled items unfortunately does not have anything to do with the individual theme authors. The ThemeForest marketplace doesn’t provide you with updates and Envato does not provide authors with any kind of buyer verification.

I’m honestly not sure what issue you’re referring to. The theme doesn’t actually come with any kind of video player. So that means whatever you’re using isn’t part of the theme and so updating probably wouldn’t do anything for you. I’d take a closer look at what you’re using and how you’re actually embedding your videos, and maybe explore some more option swith what you’re doing specifically.

graphicsnjeneral

thank you for looking into this, yes I see a plugin I bought from Codecanyon that is the issue…. I appreciate it! Great Theme btw.

Hi i just purchased this Theme i want to install it correctly because this is my first experience working with this framework, is there any documentation?

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

The support forum is here: http://support.themeblvd.com—Come on over and we’ll help you get everything installed correctly. Also let us know any specific questions you have about installation.

Sorry – I was signed in with an old account, it seems, so I’ll repeat my question and delete my other one.

Hi Jason. My web developer paid for Swagger and we jointly developed it for a client of mine. My developer has since completely disappeared (and is being sued and taken to court, I believe). Is there any way (if I give you the dates and details) that you can send me the info I need to either transfer the purchase to my account, or can at least get the info I need to access the support forum. Many thanks.

ThemeBlvd

Hello,

I apologize, but I honestly just have no control over these kinds of matters. You need to contact ThemeForest support in order to handle getting a hold of your purchase code, transferring sales, etc.
