Hey thanks!

Moflight25

how hard is it to integrate this template with Paypal?

themejive

Hi Moflight25! Sorry for the delay… I missed your post. Ecwid makes Paypal integration a snap.

You can read about it here: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853304/PayPal

Let me know if you have other questions :)

How hard would it be to set up a blog page and to do custom forms on this?

I would like to do forms and be able to store the info. Is muse capable of that? I haven’t used it much yet

themejive

Hi there! Yeah so Muse has some basic form functionality but uses business catalyst for management. I would recommend using http://www.wufoo.com/ or a similar service for form handling as this will work great within Muse.

As for a blog, you would need to set up a new page for each blog post I’m afraid… Or you could do one page and keep adding new posts on top. Muse is really not set up for blogging at the moment.

Let me know if you have any further questions :)

I’m considering purchasing this template, but I plan to use Muse to publish to a Business Catalyst e-commerce platform. Would using the BC shopping cart instead of ecwid effect the workings of the files/code on the website?

themejive

Hi jacsupply! Thanks for considering technicool :) Honestly I have not used the BC ecommerce feature yet but doing a little research I have found the following information that I hope will help.

“You can use BC’s modules within a muse site, by making a template in muse for each module that you want to use. You will need to create the master page in Muse and then added each additional page needed like “About Us”, “Online Store”, “Blog” “Contact Us” etc. Then in the page for my Online Store make thumbnails for each catalog of products that you want to link to, ex. Prints, Posters, Cards, Calendars. Now still in muse make a new page for each catalog, still based on my Muse master page, these will be the templates. Make sure you exclude these pages from any menus. Maybe put them all under my Online Store page. Name each page things like “prints_temp” and “posters_temp”. Next go to each individual Muse template page you created and inserted this html {tag_pagecontent}. You can resize this box to the size you want your module to fit into and place it whereever you want it on the page. Now publish everything to your BC e-commerce site.

Now when you create a new catalog in the e-commerce section of BC you will see a drop down list of templates to use with that catalog. If you inserted the above html in your muse pages and published them, you should see each of the pages that you created. Use the template page that you made in Muse for that particular catalog. Now under the template list you will see a link that you can copy and add to your Store home page to link to that catalog. You can make templates in muse for the shopping cart page as well as the checkout page.

You can find the area to change those templates in BC under Site Manager>Module Templates>Online Store Templates. Again you just need to create the pages in muse and insert {tag_pagecontent} to make it a useable template in BC.”

So, not sure if that was helpful, but if I had to guess, you should be able to use technicool styling and layout with BC but some of that work will need to happen directly in BC.

Let me know if you need anything special from me to make this happen and I will certainly do my best to help you out :)

I will probably go ahead and do it and just let you know how it goes. I have a done a ton of reading on Muse and BC so, hopefully it has done me good. The cool thing is that once you have a master page created in Muse, you can pretty much just copy it, then adjust the measurements to what the page is going to be for. I was surprised how easy it was to make page copies and adjust them for diff things. Muse is definitely for the non-developer though, almost completely object oriented programming. It is great for those who aren’t in the web development industry. Will more than likely start on this tomorrow. I’ll send you a message in a few days and let you know how it is going. Thanks for the reply.

Excellent! I’m really excited to see how it goes. Let me know If you end up needing any assistance or changes to the template :)

How do I change the twitter and facebook feeds to go to my social media in the template?

themejive

Hi CHDmtl! Thanks a million for buying my template :)

So here is how you handle this change:

For Twitter, login, and head over to this link. https://twitter.com/settings/widgets

Where it says “Create and manage your widgets” click on “Create New” from there, simply fill out the fields. to make it integrate well with Technicool, follow the settings I am using as seen in this screenshot.

Then copy the embed code and replace it in Muse by right-clicking on the HTML widget and selecting “Edit HTML”

To modify the Facebook widget, head over to this link https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages/ and fill out the fileds as shown in the screenshot here.

Hi Sniffy5200, so sorry for the trouble. This version was saved in the last version of Muse before the update so I wonder if that is the problem… I will upload a new version today and let you know when it’s ready for you.

themejive

Hi Again Sniffy :) The file has been updated and ready for you to download. Please let me know if this fixes your issue.

Thanks!

I would like clients to be able to select products they are interested in and add them into a sort of cart – but rather have them purchase things directly from the site, I would like them to be able to send me their list so that I can provide them with a quote. Is there a way to format this theme to accommodate something like?

Thank you for any help you can give me!

themejive

Hi Morgan! Thanks for your interest in our theme :) Since our theme uses the Ecwid eCommerce platform you will be able to do many things, including what you are asking. Please take a look at this knowledge base article from Ecwid to get started.

Please let me know if you have any more questions and thanks again!

Is it possible to set up different payment gateway for the e commerce?

Hi teradien, sorry for the delayed reply… I seem to have missed it.

Since Technicool uses Ecwid for it’s shopping cart, you have a whole world of options when it comes to payment options.

Take a look here for more info http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853303/Payment%20options#WhatonlinepaymentmethodscanIuseinEcwid and please let me know if you need anything else :)

Is it possible to edit code? And is it possible to move the site layout from right to left instead of left to right?

themejive

Hi Zami, sorry for the delayed reply. Since this is a Muse template, you can only really edit in adobe muse. The good news is you can then change the layout from right to left if you like :)

is there a option to have various sizes for the items being sold. I’m selling clothing and i need the buyer to be able to pick a size and or color.

themejive

Sure! Check out this article from the Ecwid site. There is a whole lot you can do with product options :)

Let me know if you get stuck or have other questions.

Hello,

The slideshow on the home page is very cool. I like the way that things are animated and move when the next slide comes in. Was that done in Muse? I was not aware that was a feature.

themejive

Sure was, its just to slideshows overlapped. One set to slide horizontally and the other vertically :)

Where is the ecwid theme file you said it came with?

themejive

Hey looks like I left it off the last update… Sorry about that. Please re-download the file. Thanks for the purchase!

Would i be able to integrate/use the layout for ebay listings? Would you explain to me if it is possible, how to go about this?

Ebay allows html, so is there a way to view html on muse to copy and paste to ebay?

Muse—> Ebay store/listing

themejive

This is likely not possible. You could of course view the source of the html and try to add it to you ebay store but I’ve not tried it. Muse does not output html in the most efficient manner so you might not get great results.

Has this been updated for 2014 muse / will it need to be / does it work on the new version?

Awesome template guys I hope it will work with the new version.

Thanks!

themejive

Testing our templates in the latest version now and will get them all updated this week :)

themejive

OK, looks like we are all set and working with the latest update of Muse CC

Good day

Right now i discovered your template for muse, that is so great for me and my clients, so i just have a question , how can I upload a new article? That is complicated?,this include programing or simply your template include some kind of ADD NEW ARTICLE module to upload a new article on the eshop. I can upload a new article like Ebay?

Thanks in advance

themejive

Hey there! This is a Muse template so you will need to own Muse in order to edit the template. Yes you can add new articles by creating a new page in Muse. Adding new items is easy as well and uses Ecwid shopping cart to manage the eCommerce. Hope that helps :)

Hello.

We purchased your theme and we’re trying to relink assets. There are many files listed as residing in the “Background” folder, but the folder was not included in the download. How do we relink these assets?

Thanks!

I just bought the template. Man, this is awesome and real easy. If I could do this ANYONE CAN!!!! I just have one question….when I go and products, they show in my Muse site in a straight line up and down. How do I move them so they are placed where I want them on the page?
