Clean theme, good luck with sales!

Studio164a

Thanks!

Nice theme & nice design, only problem I can see is the PHP error in the Twitter section at the bottom!

Studio164a

Ah, thanks for the heads-up on the Twitter error. That’s an API request limit issue; working on a fix now.

Cheers, Eric

Cool design mate,. Good Luck With Sales..!

Studio164a

Studio164a

Thanks!

Excellent work my friend!! ;)

Studio164a

Glad you like it!

nice theme but i have 3 wishes.

1. make the logo clickable

2. the content images in a article (not the featured images) centered or width = 100% and margin left and right correct. At the moment there are to big and jump to the right

3. a lastFM icon

i think, the shortcodes in editor dont work. when i click on a shortcode, nothing happens.

MacJosetty

Thank you!

MacJosetty

now the images works well.

Studio164a

Hi momworx,

Just posting back here in case you didn’t see the latest update—it now includes last.fm buttons.

Thanks again for the feedback :)

Cheers, Eric

Delicious theme guys! Any chance that this will get infinite scroll capabilities? Would be very useful for a “blog is king” theme such as this! ;)

Studio164a

Hi garethpauljones,

Textural just got AJAX pagination with version 1.2.

Thanks again for the feedback :)

Great theme! Good luck with sales :)

Studio164a

Thanks!

Thank you for the fixes. Next wishes: A really nice Archive and Sitemap Page.

Studio164a

Hi momworx,

Again, great ideas. :)

I’ve got a few things to work on adding in now, so will work on integrating these over the next few days or the weekend. Thanks for the suggestions!

Cheers, Eric

Studio164a

Hi again momworx,

The site now includes an archive template.

I haven’t included a sitemap page as that overlaps a bit with the archives, and is probably more of a plugin-style feature, rather than something that should be bundled into the theme.

Cheers, Eric

hey… love the theme! wondering what i’m doing wrong w the logo image. getting errors:

Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /nfs/c04/h05/mnt/162438/domains/lindsaymcintire.com/html/wp-content/themes/textural/functions.php on line 147

where is the contact form?? i think i sent it to the right place….

Studio164a

You sure did. Got your email. I’ll have a fix for you soon I hope!

Cheers, Eric

Studio164a

To anyone following this thread, just wanted to confirm that the issue Lindsay was having has now been resolved. The theme has been tweaked to completely avoid the functions that were causing problems for Lindsay, which means that it should run fine on any server running PHP, so long as it’s compatible with Wordpress’ minimum requirements.

Cheers, Eric

and in the documentation it said there were 4 plug-ins, there was only 1 in mine…. the contact form one….

Studio164a

Ah, that’s my bad. The documentation is incorrect. Only one plugin is included: Contact Form 7.

I’ll fix up the documentation :)

cool! didnt want to miss something!

it would be great to use the videos just with the links eq (http://vimeo.com/fiftythree/hellopaper), not with a embed code in a extra field.

MacJosetty

great! looking forward!

Studio164a

Hi momworx,

I should have an update out on Monday, with a much simpler method of adding video posts.

Cheers, Eric

p.s. If you haven’t already, I would really appreciate if you could take a second to rate the theme here on ThemeForest.

MacJosetty

rated!

Hi there,

I am having trouble uploading the logo. I have tried numerous attempts uploading a strandard .png file as logo but failed.

Any thoughts?

Ning

Studio164a

Hi Ning,

Hmm, that sounds very odd indeed. Could you send me a link to your website via the contact form on our profile page?

Cheers, Eric

Default-user

Hi Eric, Thanks for your very prompt and quick response. Issue has been resolved. Appreciate it !

Studio164a

No worries Ning. Glad we were able to resolve the issue.

Don’t forget to rate the theme when you get a chance!

Cheers, Eric

Ok! This Theme is really nice and with every version better. Thanks for the Support. And finally, here ist my Site: http://spheric.de/ with little modifications.

Studio164a

Great looking site! Nice to see you taking excellent advantage of the child theme to make some nice customizations!

Cheers, Eric

I would buy this theme if Studio164a can confirm if it’s “easy enough” to change the default layout width of the video, images and overall content box from 800 (my guess) to something else, more wide, like 960 or so. Or, what would be the customizing price for that feature?

Studio164a

Hi Kilroy4,

It’s very easy to do. Just set it up so that you’re using the child theme (which comes bundled with the download), and add this to your custom.css file:

body {
    width: 960px;
}

And that should do it!

Cheers, Eric

Haven’t purchased yet, but wanted to say THANKS for creating a nice, simple theme. So many on ThemeForest are over the top. I just need something simple but beautiful. Keep up the good work!

Studio164a

Hey CaptSaltyJack, no worries! Thank you for the very kind words :) Really appreciate it.

Cheers, Eric

I’m interested in this theme for a prospective client. Is there any way to create a static homepage – something really simple like a headline and subhead? The site will basically be a homepage and 4 “blogs” (each “blog” will be a blog category filter) and I just want to make sure that’s doable with this theme. I love the style & design so I hope it is.

Thanks, Christine

Studio164a

Hi Christine,

There isn’t currently, but I have toyed with the idea of adding something along those lines. Just upped it’s priority thanks to your comment :)

Cheers, Eric

Studio164a

Hi cbusch87,

As per CaptSaltyJack’s post below, I think I may have misunderstood what you’re after here. If you’re after the ability to use a page as a static homepage, then that is certainly possible.

It just involves creating a page and marking it as the static homepage.

If I understood correctly what you mean in terms of the “blogs”, then you could do that quite simply by adding those blog categories to the navigation.

Cheers, Eric

cbusch87

Okay, that’s great! Some blog themes don’t have any static pages so I wanted to be sure this one would work for my client’s needs.

Thanks, Christine

Hey Eric,

cbusch87 asked if there’s a way to create a static homepage, and you said no. What does this mean exactly? Is it not possible to just have a home landing page with an image, H1, and some static text? What usually displays on the landing/home page?

Studio164a

Hi CaptSaltyJack,

A static homepage like that is possible, yes. Sorry if I misunderstood cbusch87.

There is absolutely no issue with creating a normal page and then using it for the homepage.

So for example, there would be nothing stopping you using a page like the Features page on the demo site (http://164a.com/textural/features/) as the front page.

Cheers, Eric

Hey Eric,

I’m an inexperienced WP user so my apologies if the answer to my questions is obvious.

1) The footer: Is the footer from the live preview not included? 2) Ad Space: Is it possible to add space (inside each post or to the left or the right of the text on the start page) for Google AdSense or any other affiliate ad network.

Thanks for helping out!

//Marcus

Studio164a

Hi Marcus,

The footer is definitely included. You can set it up using the widgets page in your Wordpress dashboard.

In terms of adding ad space, that is possible but would require some customization of theme files. If you’re familiar with HTML & a bit of PHP, you should be able to do that. The best way to achieve this is by using the child theme, which is bundled with the theme.

Cheers, Eric

Hi again,

Thanks for your reply. The footer worked out perfectly.

I discovered another issue. When writing a post i can not see the WYIWYG Editor. The java script doesn’t load and this is the error code i get:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method ‘add’ of undefined post.php:1609 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘src’ of null myscript.js:26

Thanks again!

Studio164a

Hi m_sjoberg78,

It looks like there is a problem with the FontAwesome setup. I’ll submit a fix today.

Cheers, Eric
