Hi Jason,

Bought this theme a while ago, very happy with it. Recently Contact Form 7 broke on me (and it seems quite a few others.) The author recommended using the wordpress default theme as a solution, and said that if the plugin weren’t working correctly with a premium theme, I should ask the theme author. I am not sure the protocol on this, but I thought I’d ask as Contact Form 7 is such a widely used plugin. If you can’t fix it no worries, but any suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated!

Cheers, Abigail in Frankfurt

Hello Abigail,

Come on over to the support forum and we can take a look. Make sure to post a link to your site where you’re having the issue.

Use of support forum mandatory as of January 1, 2013

We’ve recently setup a new support forum and we’ve been slowly transitioning all support there over the past few months.

As promised, starting January 1, 2013, we have made it mandatory that all support given to verified buyers will be done there.

Support Forum: http://support.themeblvd.com
Support Terms: http://support.themeblvd.com/help/#terms

No support will be given through the ThemeForest comment system. The only exceptions will include pre-sale questions and any issues you may have accessing the support forums.

We apologize for the extra step this takes you to register for the support forum and verify your purchases, however we hope that the forum will make support easier for buyers in the long run.

Hi, I am interested to buy the theme. However, I would like to check regarding the following: 1. Can I have side bars that are different in each page? 2. Can all my latest blogs being displayed in grid format in homepage (similar to http://www.home-designing.com/) with 2 right side bar & footer being displayed on the same page (homepage) as well? 3. Can I have title, category & social media sharing icons under each image of blog post in homepage? (refer example: http://www.home-designing.com/) 4. Can I set all the webpages to full screen without empty space on both right & left side, and still be responsive to any devices & web browsers? (Refer example of this: http://www.home-designing.com/) 5. I prefer to have clean white background for my website (refer example: http://www.archdaily.com/). Is it possible without CSS customization? 6. Can I freely install any plug-in if I use this wordpress theme? 7. Can I have more than 2 menu bars/navigations being displayed? 8. Is there any pagination option available?

Thank you.

1. Yes. The theme has a widget area manager. You can create custom widget areas and assign them to different pages in different locations.

2. Yes. You can use the theme’s Layout Builder to construct your homepage. The Layout Builder contains a “post grid” element you can put into your homepage. A custom layout can have any of the theme’s six sidebar layouts you like.

And then the footer is something completely independent of the content of the page. It’s something you setup that will display across your entire site.

3. This is what a post grid looks like: http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/alyeska/portfolio/

4. No. This theme does not include any kind of Masonry-like effect.

5. You can setup any background color/image you want from Appearance > Background. This is a standard WordPress feature that the theme supports: http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Background_Screen

6. Yes, but as with any theme, we obviously cannot guarantee that every third-party plugin is going to be compatible with the theme.

7. No, you can only have one primary navigation menu.

8. Yes, all displaying of posts that require pagination will display pagination.

I encourage you to checkout some of the videos listed in the Item Details that go through some of these features and also browse the live demo, which will show you how a lot of these features look.

Thanks for your quick reply. However, I would like to repeat some of my questions to make sure we understand the questions/answers properly.

Refer Question No.3 above: Can I have title, category & social media sharing icons under each image of blog post in homepage? (refer example: http://www.home-designing.com/)

I saw your post grid sample at http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/alyeska/portfolio/. So, is that means I can’t display “category” & “social media sharing icon” (such as facebook like, google plus & pint it) under each post’s feature image? This is because I saw that only title, excerpt & “read more” are displayed under each post’s feature image in your post grid sample.

Refer Question No.4 above: Can I set all the webpages to full screen without empty space on both right & left side, and still be responsive to any devices & web browsers? (Refer example of this: http://www.home-designing.com/)

Actually, I am not asking about masonry-like effect. What I would like to know is if your theme width can be set in fluid ( ) instead of fixed width? For example, can I set the website to full screen by insert fluid no. as 100 ? This is because I do not want to have empty space at the both left & right side, just like what we usually see from other website. To me, visually, this is wasting the screen display space.

If you look at this website: http://www.archdaily.com/, you will see empty space at the both left & right side of the screen. But you will look at this website: http://www.home-designing.com/, there is no empty space at the both left & right side, and the screen display space is fully used.

3. Yes, you are correct; you cannot have these items. The design of a post in a post grid includes title, excerpt & “read more”—Anything outside of that would be a customization you’d need to make from your Child theme: http://dev.themeblvd.com/tutorial/editable-content-files/

Note: Since the post grids use the_excerpt(), you may be able to find a plugin that adds social icons onto this. You’d need to find a third-party plugin for this though.

4. There is no option to make the layout fluid beyond the maximum fixed width. This would be a CSS customization you’d need to make to the theme.

I have an image and want the whole image to be a link – the button in the top left is barely noticeable. Is this do-able? If not, can it be done on next revision.

Thank you for your purchase. Here’s where you can get support: http://support.themeblvd.com

Hi, I’m really interested in getting this theme but I was just wondering if it’s possible to change the design of the menu bar as I prefer it to look more simplistic and flat and not have the shaded/gradient effect.

Thanks, Kaylan

Hello Kaylan,

These would be CSS customizations you’d need to make from your Child theme after purchasing.

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974. The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

I bought and loved your Alyeska theme – does this have the same page builder?

... and can you Hide meta info in theme options?

And no, on this one, there are no options for post lists because they vary for each post format. So, it would be overly complicated on which options apply where.

If you checkout the top of the Item Details page, there are links to screenshots of all the Theme Option pages.

Twitter Functionality

As of June 2013, Twitter has completely cut of v1 of their API along with all RSS feeds, and so the Twitter widget included in the theme will no longer work.

However, since this, we’ve created Tweeple, a free WordPress plugin you can incorporate with your Theme Blvd theme to harness the power of the latest Twitter API.

After you’ve setup your Twitter Authentication settings and configured a Twitter feed, you can use the plugin’s “Tweeple Twitter Feed” widget. —This will give you a similar visual result as the theme’s “Theme Blvd Twitter” widget once did.

I’d live if I can use Revo Slider, Layer Slider and Cute Slider with you Theme ??

Hi again,

I just realized that my question was all screwed up.

My question was…

Can I use Revo Slider, Layer Slider or Cute Slider with you Theme ??

I apologize, but I have honestly never tested any of these plugins with the theme; so I cannot speak to their comparability.

Please help me fix this: “Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in …/wp-content/themes/arcadian/framework/frontend/functions/general.php on line 801”

When I am authenticated in wordpress back-end everything works, but when I log out, I get 5 of those messages in the header, and, instead of content, I get this “Invalid Layout ID” Please help, it’s urgent.

Alright, I web to theme support website.

Hey there Jason, I own a few of your themes and love the versatility. I was just hired to adjust and fix a website using Arcadian…a theme I hadn’t purchased. The old developer (who is completely out of the picture) installed buddypress with Arcadian and it just is NOT jiving. I am need of support in your support forums but cannot gain access because I do not have the code. Could you please advise? I currently am a registered user on TB with 3 of your themes. Blessings~ACA

I’ve added Arcadian to your account, but BuddyPress compatibility isn’t something I’ve built with the theme. So, I’m not quite sure how much we can do there depending on how bad it is. But go ahead and post and we’ll see what we’re working with.

Thanks Jason… I actually figured it out and the theme is rockin’ BuddyPress!!!! I may need to post for other mods in the future so thanks a bunch, greatly appreciated. ~ACA

Hello! One of my clients has your Arcadian Responsive Wordpress theme. Every time they try to log in they receive the following error

“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /data/17/2/102/51/2591540/user/2841941/htdocs/wptortoisetracks/wp-admin/menu.php on line 37”

Do you have any idea what I could do to fix this? Is it an error for my Host?

Thank you!

Hi ThemeBlvd

I am interested in this theme but have one question about the portfolio functionality. Does this theme support multiple portfolio pages so I can many pages of different portfolios?

Thanks Scott

Hello Scott,

Sure, you can have as many as you want.

Awesome template, two quick questions: 1) How to make logo bigger. 2) How to change to a darker header background, only the header.

Thanks a lot! Positive feedback for great template and documentation.

Thanks for the kind words!

We handle all support at http://support.themeblvd.com. Here’s how to get access:

since this post your site has been down: http://bruceluis.com/download-project/support.png

Aw, I apologize. The support site isn’t down; the reason is because ThemeForest’s comment system added the ”.” to the link URL above. So, when you click the link, it’s not going to the correct URL.

Here is the correct link:

Hi, I’m trying to install any video gallery plugin and the layouts don’t support the shortcodes, what can I do?

We do all support over at:

Come on over, and we can discuss things further. Here’s how to get access:

Since the last update, the search results don’t return any content (my content is embedded in a shortcode). What can I add in functions.php in order to return the content of the posts on search?
