The Canyon WordPress Theme

Hi Codestar, great theme! Just purchased it. I just wanted to follow up on being able to embed video in the portfolio pages. I am a video editor and my entire portfolio will consist of videos from Vimeo or similar. So, do I understand correctly that instead of uploading a full size image, I simply just include the URL to the vimeo video and that should do the trick? Thanks.

After testing this template, we have to reccomend that it is beautifully designed, the help files are clear and code is super clean.

codestar – love the theme but have a major pain…

im having problems formatting for my blog, its not spacing between paragraphs – no matter what i try “BR” tags etc do not work, they do on the front page for the widgets but not for any blog posting’s, if i stick it to default theme then it works like it appears in the editor – will this be fixed?

It would be brilliant if it formatted straight from the editor, from what ive seen with people with similar problems this is possibly a problem with the theme css?

I also found that if you dont have a pic in the 2nd down, 3rd along widget it makes the footer display wrong, more noticeable in IE

Love the theme, but agree with the last poster. The lack of paragraphs is a real pain. Shouldn’t really have to be adding a BR tag manually everytime you create a new paragraph (not that it works anyway).

Like I say, awesome piece of work, but please fix the paragraphing issue.

Ops, Yes i understand it now. it is very easyly to fix. just write on style.css

}

I re downloaded and up loaded but stayed the same, i then added the above code to style.css and this formats the blog correctly but this breaks the theme in header and footer

quick question for the moment I do not require the use of all the footer widgets. But if I do not have a widget set, the text “footer column1,2,3” etc show up. I do not want anything there. Where might I adjust this?Cheers. D.

Hi, hmmmm do you want to remove all footer widgets ? “Footer column 1-2-3-4 and contact” ? we can remove them if you want it is easy. Just send to me an email via info@codestarlive.com i can remove it for you.

Hey Codestar, I sent you an email yesterday morning asking a few questions about the template but haven’t heard anything so I figured I would just post it here. I am currently considering buying your WordPress website template “The Canyon.” I am about to launch my own web/graphic design business and need a website to go up quick so I don’t have time to write my own CMS . I saw your template and it works perfectly with my vision. I have a couple of questions though. I normally code my CMS in expressionengine and have never worked with WordPress. How easy is it for me to change the navigation links to better suit my graphical needs. Also, how hard would it be to tweak the color just a little bit. I am fluent with HTML and CSS so is it just a matter of changing that in the word press control panel? I’m guessing it still comes with photoshop files as well. Any help with these questions would be great!

Hi, Yes Bro. I check your admin panel, but i haven’t any idea for nextGEN Galleries. I used prettyPhoto Galleries. If you want to adapt nextGEN Galleries , we must change portfolio pages. it is not easyly sorry. also prettyPhoto is very nice it is my favorite.

Seriously one of the best templates I have ever used. I am used to buying a template for the base coding, then heavily editing the code and graphics to my liking. This template is so complete and easy to use that even my mom could have customized it.
