How do I get rid of the “Recent Posts” that automatically pops up in my Pages sidebar?

Thinking about purchasing this theme, but would like to know how to replace the “search box” in the header with Social media icons from the footer. I would also like to add a custom button in the center of the header. Would this be hard to do or could you supply me with the code for these minor customizations.

Hi, there seems to be a conflict with this theme and Interner Exporer 9 unfortunately, it effects the appearance. Is it fixable?

Yes, the theme does appear to be broken in IE9 (main intro section and menu are missing)

It’s a real shame, as I was just about to deploy my site with this theme.

I would suggest that themeforest post a incompatible with IE9 tag on this theme.

It’s the cufon font replacement that is affecting the design.

These files are located in the js folder – the culprit is cufon.js

it needs replacing with a new file form the cufon website

Anybody repairing this will need to make a copy of their existing file because you need to follow these steps:

1. Obtain the original cufon.js file from your ftp area or server (the one that came with the deluxe theme)

2. Open this file in an editor. Copy the last few lines of code, these are:

Cufon.replace(’.deluxemenu > ul > li.current_page_item > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current_page_ancestor > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current-menu-item > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current-menu-ancestor > a’, { color: $main_menu_over_color });

Cufon.replace(’.deluxemenu > ul > li > a’, { color: $main_menu_color, hover: { color: $main_menu_over_color } });

Cufon.refresh(’.deluxemenu > ul > li.current_page_item > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current_page_ancestor > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current-menu-item > a, .deluxemenu > ul > li.current-menu-ancestor > a’);

Cufon.replace(’.page_categories ul li’, { hover: true });

3. Open the new cufon file (cufon-yui.js) downloaded from the cufon site.

4. Paste the lines of code copied from the deluxe theme file at the bottom of the new cufon file.

5. Save it as cufon.js and upload back to your web server and all should be ok.

I’m not really a web developer but this fix worked for me.

Currently investigating how to add a menu button with a link to a page outside the site. Is there a solution I have tried some code manipulations but but have not been successful so far.

i havent your theme, but if i purchase it i need to know if its possible to remove the “leave a comment” at bottom of pages… i hate him!

I’m happy with this theme and find it easy enough to modify as necessary, but have been a bit disappointed with the level of support this developer offers (seems others have as well when you search here and the developer’s support forum). My post on the support forum is 2 weeks old and no reply. I solved my own problem at this point, but thought I’d help others if possible.

@oonaghd: This is possible. Just use the built in wordpress menu manager (appearance->menus), which will replace the standard theme menu. The Wordpress menu manager has an option to add a “custom link.”

or just remove the code from the appropriate page template.

Hello— I am thinking about buying your theme. I have a few questions: Can I link images in the slider so that you can click through to a portfolio page? I would like to set up a portfolio page, a sub portfolio page, and then a page with a writing sample. Possible? Can I set a left sidebar? Can I change the color?

It’s ashamed you don’t have the audacity to respond and address the bug issues regarding overall wordpress theme. I understand the themes are cheap and you don’t have to support when it’s already cheap but you creating buggy wordpress theme to cause me further nightmare regarding a website is so unprofessional. I contacted you dozens of times to address why the drop down menu text appear on top of each other with video integrated pages and you fail to respond. I installed a lightbox plugin and it deactivates the embedded prettyphoto lightbox plugin.

Very professional of you to have a “forum” and refuse to address the issues on your themes. I will encourage colleagues in my industry to steer away from your themes and spread the word. Your lack of support even the smallest of responses is very discouraging.

Could you please tell, how can I change the border color of my image container. I would like to have it white instead of black. The probably would like to change the close botton color too.

I have a few questions regarding alignment, space between posts in category that I couldn’t find in your help file and videos:

1) Where should I change the space between posts in categories? It doesn’t look very pretty having the title from one post next to the image to the next post – (where there is a line separating)

2) My prefer solution would be to use “portfoliostyle3” in categories like on pages. Is it possible?

3) How do I remove: “dates”, “Tags”, “No Comments” from each posts in categories?

4) I would like to be able to control how many words/paragraphs before “read more”. Would that be possible?

I changed the color of the drop down menu boxes. Now I see that the text in the drop down menu has a shadow. how can i remove this? i cant find it in the css.
