Hi Sarah, I want to replace http://www.themaincourse.ca from HTML to WordPress, the site is about a retail kitchen supplies store, but I don’t want to sell online and don’t want to display prices, by searching for this type of theme I got to your theme which somewhere says that I can disable the shopping cart part of the theme. My question before purchasing is if the layout, menu and all the other parts of the theme remain the same after disabling the e-commerce part, because I do need exactly the same layout and functionality as your theme’s preview (like New Arrivals, Recent Products, Clearance and the menu category items), just without the possibility of purchasing the products? Hello Joseph,

yes, the shopping cart can be enabled/disabled from the theme’s settings.

What basically happens when you de-activate the shopping cart is all eCommerce related information (price, product variation select drop downs, “Add to Basket” button etc) are hidden. You can still use the customer registration if this is desired and all widgets and shortcodes are still available for you to use. This means New Arrivals, Recent Products etc can be displayed.

This themes widgets have many bugs. The taxonomies and shop by brand widgets do not work. I have tried every possible selection and tags and image renaming there is and it does not work.

I went through your instructions very carefully and have tried every way there is to get it working and it won’t work. I went through the online documentation and followed all of those instructions. Still won’t work.

Any help would be appreciated besides pointing me to a support ticket that I have to pay for. I am very fluent with Wordpress and am following the instructions very carefully.

Please instruct or give and answer to why these 2 widgets won’t work or possible solutions.

I purchased this theme for our online antique jewellery website and from my previous experience I checked the support pages and WIKI pages first and read the tutorials very carefully. It took 1 day for me to set it up with all the default settings, pages and categories. The explanations on WIKI pages were very clear, helpful and easy to follow. Once I finished, I had an issue with 1 minor error which was caused by myself missing an instruction. But when I had the issue I emailed Sarah, she was very quick to respond and sort my issues with a very helpful description of what caused the issue. I am extremely happy with my purchase and can`t thank Sarah enough. I hope theme works well in the future and help to take our jewellery business a step forward.

I’m not sure what you refer to by “language plugins” however if you are trying to find out whether you can create a multilingual site with this theme the answer is yes. The theme is WPML compatible.

Our records show that you already have a Support ID. Use it to access the Wiki.

Once there search using the keyword: update

The first entry that you see among the search results answers your question on how to update. If for some reason it does not answer your question, there’s a contact form to the right of the single Wiki entry that you can use to contact support.

Regarding editing the homepage please visit the theme’s documentation which guides you through editing the different elements on the page. Again, should you have any further questions use the Wiki to communicate with support.

I just love it – The installation was surprisingly easy and I’ve been, slowly but surely, editing this to my needs. I think the info you provide is really, really excellent. Also, I’ve learned a great deal while doing this. I also think it’s really reassuring to know that I can count on you or your colleagues when I need it.
