The Mask - Premium Wordpress Theme

Hi Evgeny,

Great theme. I’m in the middle of customizing it and I need your help. I would like to insert recent blog posts in the form of the shortcode “Latest from the blog”. But I can’t use the shorcode – I need to do it in the php code within the header.php.

I know how to get “Latest projects” using php – it is coded in pg-home.php. But how to get “Latest from the blog” using similar method? In other words – how the template generate shortcode “Latest from the blog”?

Hi there, So I asked this question earlier and it seemed to work. I managed to highlight a piece of text on the homepage (that was months ago now) and it remains highlighted. However, I’m editing again and the tags don’t work.

1. I’ve been trying to highlight text just like in the homepage of the demo. Highlight short code doesn’t seem to be working anywhere I try to use it.

2. Is there no way to use html tags in the slider descriptions?

Maybe css is cached by browser. Try to clean browser cach. If it doesn’t help can I see your website?

Also, I would like the extras posts on the homepage to link to corresponding “Pages” from the home page. example; http://mysite/extras/one will go to http://mysite/one instead. So, I’d like to cut out “extras” all together.

Hello,

1. Download the final zip file from your downloads page.
2. Unzip the final zip file; you should now have a final download folder.
3. Do NOT upload the final download folder. Open up the final download folder.
4. Browse the contents and find the actual theme folder. If you look inside the theme folder, you will see a “style.css” file. This is how you know you have found the theme folder.
5. Upload ONLY the theme folder to your “wp-content/themes” folder.
6. Login to your WordPress admin panel and activate the theme.

Hello,
You can’t do this via Theme Options but you can replace flickr image (mask/images/social/flckr.png) for example and paste your url in the flickr field.

Hello,
You can control croppping here mask/functions/apperance/init.php, lines #30-38.
Example:

add_image_size('sg_post', 977, 477, true);

Change 477 to 99999 to skip vertical cropping. Also you need to re-upload images to apply changes.

Hi fireform, I have a few questions.

1) Is there a way to get a category link for my portfolio filters. So i have a filter like website. But when i try to make a link yourwebsite.com/portfolio/website/ i get a 404 page. I would love to have a category link filter portfolio and its also great for google.

2) When I gonna update to the latest version is my style.css where i add a few things gonna change and can i start all over again ?

Hello,
1) This is a worpress permalink issues, not a theme. This causes if you change permalink type for posts. Try this http://codex.wordpress.org/User:Sivel/FAQ
2) To avoid losing you need to insert your styles in mask/style.css instead of modifiyng theme styles. But if time is gone you can replace style.css by your own when unzip updated theme, then upload it on your ftp.

I upgraded to 3.5 Wordpress and now when I add a photo thumbnail to the portfolio post it would add it cropped for some reason although the dimensions are exactly like the previous portfolio thumbnails. What can I do?

You can use Contact Form 7 plugin instead of our contact form. But there is no option to hide form in the topbar. We should add this ability in next update.

Yes, you can write your css rules in Appearance > Editor. It was connected after all stylesheets and you are able to override our styles.
Yes, contact form has this field. If you need custom form you can use Contact Form 7 plugin.

Thank you. Actually what I want is to show the editor function so I can see files from wp backend. I don’t want to have to download all the files edit and upload. Like header.php for instance, I disabled the mobile site by taking out a line of code but I had to download file from server and re upload. I just want to click on editor.

If I can’t, no big deal. I just wanted to see.
