really nice and clean design. I really appreciate that so much of what is found on here is too flashy.
I have what may be a silly question. I have a flash site for my photography. and I have been looking for an “alternate content” site for those devices that are not flash enabled.
would this vCard work as such. Meaning if I embedded my flash site with swfObjects with detect on and someone called up my site on a iphone or something and redirected me to a version of your vCard template would it display on a iPhone.
and if so would we still have the ability to view photos like in the gallery section.
I know this question is a bit more general then your file… but I really like it and want to know if I can make it work for my need.

I don’t think you can show the whole vCard design when flash is disabled(Maybe just the center part). However, a best practice would be to redirect the user to a different url, if they don’t have flash or the required version of it installed. It’s pretty simple since you are already using swfObject.

Ofcourse, and the elements where you can apply the background-image are: #outerWrapper, #contentWrapper, #content.

I just bought this today. It looked like it would be a great skeleton for my front end. I tweaked everything except for the q-tips to my liking. However, the documentation for that is lacking. Next weekend I will spend the time digging in the code for what I need. I also want to add a few more pages for my portfolio.
All in all, I am very pleased with the way it came out. Check it out at jimlivingston.com. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how I “skinned” your original work.

I am changing from the no-gallery to the gallery version of your nice template now – i’d have just one thing to ask you: The buttons ( and closeX) in the gallery are in English. I looked for PSD files for them, in order to change the wording to portuguese, but i found only PNGs. Is there any chance you would either send me the PSDs for the buttons, or make the translation yourself? (the text for prev would be "ant" or "anterior", whatever fits; the text for next would be "prox" or "próximo"; and the text for "close" would be "fechar") Thanks a lot, Eduardo

If you have basic knowledge of photoshop, gimp, you can do it yourself. Just change the necessary files in the following folder: images\prettyPhoto\dark_square

I have two more questions – and i have searched a lot before asking you! How can i set the zoom level of the map (to level 16); And how can i show a walking path from one point to my workplace on the map?
I realize this pertains to Google maps API , but i have no idea how to use that and i will be very gratefull if you have the time to answer these.

I’ve noticed that the jquery lib which is included, is a bit outdated (v1.3.2). Would you recommend updating the .js file with a recent version or does that break any of the javascript functionality?

You were correct. The host has disabled the mail() function. I will have to use SMTP authentication to send the email.
Another query I have is that the “vCard” itself is very small in size and there is lots of blank space around it. Is it possible in anyway just to double the size of the vCard, including the text, icons, etc. Probably something equivalent of what we get when we use “control” + “scroll” in firefox.

2. Scrolling: can be done but needs some coding. Image opening in lightbox: pretty simple.
3. It can be done from bottom but it will have issues with window scrollbar re-adjusting in some browsers on hover.

I recently brought this template (which I love) and just tested the template in IE 8 . Whenever the user first visits the site, IE prompts “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options….”
Is there anyway I can allow the blocked content without the user always clicking on the prompt to allow the blocked content?

Regarding your question, it is one of the most annoying feature of IE. I’m not sure if there is a way of bypassing it and it shows up on most sites.
I think, a user can disable the warning from IE’s “internet options” dialog though.
That’s annoying. However on the “Live preview” above, it doesn’t seem to come up with the IE prompt. I was hoping you had additional code or something?
The live preview loads the theme in a frame and hence you don’t see the error.
Any fix we do to bypass this feature, is mostly a hack and frowned upon…

This is not only a great theme, but the author is very responsive to requests and support questions. A few months after i bought it, i needed a customization, and Mustafa was available at a reasonable rate, and made a great job. Highly recommended!
