I love this theme. Demo is great. Just a question:
I have 16 or more submenus in one page. This theme can show them in 3 or 4 columns on the menu ? Like shortcodes menu in demo.
If I understood you correctly – yes. You can provide a link to a mockup of what you need to achieve to make 100% sure.
Is it possible to change font size, background color and font color for the menu system? If so can you please point me to instructions or explain how?
Theme has set of options to color the menu in WP-admin > Theme Options > Header.
Also note that:
1) All CSS and JS files in newer version of The7 comes in both minified and dev versions.
Im also having issues with my page speed tests how do i know if im using minified or dev version
Do you use W3TC caching plugin with page caching enabled?
yes and i can not get over a 71

I would like to use the theme purchased, as it is presented as a template.
Should I make everything from scratch (from zero) to be with a model equal to that shown on the website?
I have other 3 Questions:
1) How to make an album, a gallery equals “albums justified grid” (http://the7.dream-demo.com/main/gallery/albums-justified-grid/) with access to social icons.
There is a step-by-step on yours site, but it is not updated. So I did not find how to do.
2) increase the size of the footer.
3) change the location and the layout of the search
I would like to know if there is any way to view the php, html, etc … code in a more friendly way, as well as publishers like sublime, bluefish, notepad + +, dreamweaver, etc …
I have knowledge in programming, but I’m having trouble finding the code of the pages created
Thank you for your attention.
First of all theme comes with full dummy content (can be found in full theme package in the “Dummy” folder).
Second, questions that you are asking are answered in theme user manual: http://guide.dream-theme.com/gen2/ – please do not ignore it Thanks!
Thank you for the reply!!!
Its theme is fantastic, have never seen something so good for wordpress.
Got a tip, my company works with two types of products, promotional and brand, the audience are quite different from each segment.
Promotional companies are more and should be a formal setting, as are designer brands and requires a trendier atmosphere.
With its theme this division can do so much work, but found it difficult to choose from the menu of every page, because I created one for promotional and another for designer.
Is a tip, allowing to choose the specific menu for each page.
Thanks for feedback!
Sorry, I’m not sure I understood your question correctly.. You mean you need to have 2 different main menus on the same site? It can be achieved by using a “Microsite” page template.
No, the trick is to choose the menu template page I created.
For example, when I create a portfolio item can not pick microsite, do have the option of page portfolio template.
The trick is to allow the user to choose the menu you want on any page is normal page, gallery or portfolio.
Sorry mate that will not be possible I’m afraid At least not without the considerable amount of theme customization. You can consider hiring a freelancer for that OR submit a customization request via our online help-desk: http://support.dream-theme.com .
How can I check which version of Visual Composer is installed?
The7 uses heavily customized version of VC so there’s no real sense in tracking version of standalone plugin. We update VC regularly as soon as major update being released (but we’re ignoring minor updates).
is there any options of how the mobile menu opens. i would like to have the menu open from the left and not drop down over the site content.
Also is there a way for the Team page to have pagination?
Changing mobile menu will require significant amount of customization.
Theme page template supports pagination: there’s a “Posts per page” setting for that.
do you guys offer services to customize that menu? If so how can I get a quote?
and whats the best way to make the main top nav a color and still have the overlay/active color as well. In the demos the main nav is white.
You can submit a customization request via our online help-desk to get a quote: http://support.dream-theme.com
Sorry dumb question but how do I make the email on the top bar clickable?
We are interested in purchasing this theme. Do you know if your theme natively supports the Spreadshirt plug-in for spreadshirt.com stores? Thanks so much!
Sorry, we do not have any testing data for it
Hi, is it possible to use an image to be the link to a “lighboxed” text? I want to have an icon and if clicked a “pop up” will be shown with the describing text. I’m wondering if this is possible with the theme as it is or if I could use some extra plugin…
Unfortunately at this moment such feature is not supported. But I assume there are plugins for that.
I would like more spacing between the bullets please? Thanks – Sarah
This can be done in CSS . If you are familiar with it, you can use FireBug (FireFox plugin for web-developers) or Chrome web developers tools to define which style should be changed and where. Here’s an awesome screencast by WooThemes on how to use it: http://vimeo.com/20917974 .
Hi I have but it has knocked the arrows in the footer menu out of line the are sat under the wording not next to them?
When are you considering adding support for “category description”
it is a must for seo and informational purposes.
First of all, thank you for this theme. It looks fantastic. I have a problem with dummy data. I try to upload full demo but it gives me internal error. You told in one of your guides to upload it part by part due to the size but it is really being a mass and each time I try to do like that, I was forced the delete whole site and database. Is there any easy way to upload full data to website? Thanks in advance for your support.
I created a menu on the sidebar that shows the categories of the posts. When I click on each category I see the posts of this category. Is there a chance to have a general text e.g. the description of this category, before showing the posts of this category?
It would be very helpfull -this could be used to give an overall sense of the content of this category to the visitor of the site.

Great theme! I have used it for 3 different sites:
Very happy with it and looking forward to your future work!
Thank you so much for feedback and for sharing links!
Looks like a great theme, but you need way more than a good working knowledge of WP. The accompanying User Guide doesn’t help much. A more comprehensive guide is required. I’m not a professional WP builder by any means, but I have built a few, and find using this theme extremely frustrating.
Thank you so much for feedback!
Though I have to admit it was a bit unexpected since The7 user guide, KB and support considered one of the best on ThemeForest.
Will you please take a look at our newer improved version of user guide: http://guide.dream-theme.com/the7/ ? Thanks!
I’ve made a menu with anchor links to different parts of the website. Only problem is that all 3 hovor colors are showing because it’s the same page. How can I fix this. This is the website: telekadoshop.dumpstar.org.
I’m currently looking to upgrade my hosting from a generic plan with GoDaddy to a managed WordPress solution from a company like WP Engine or Pagely. Most of these hosts cache their sites and serve them over a CDN.
I’m not an expert on those topics, so I wanted to double-check that The7 will run smoothly and the caching won’t present any issues with the theme or bundled plugins. I know that sometimes caching can cause headaches, so I want to be sure that out of the box The7 will be ready to excel on a managed host that utilizes caching and other WordPress perks.
Are there any particular hosts you would recommend or suggestions for consideration when weighing my options for a managed WordPress host?
Thanks, Dream-Theme! I’m looking forward to using The7 when I get setup on my new host.
At this particular moment, The7 will not have retina images on managed WP hostings. We’re going to change it really soon.
Thanks for the feedback, Dream-Theme! I’ll be sure to keep my eye on the changelog to wait for retina image support with caching and The7
Hi I’m struggling to create a gallery style post please do you have help? Thanks – sarah
Yes. User guide: http://guide.dream-theme.com/gen2/user-guide/albums-and-galleries/
Since these are part of the revolution slider, I assume they are not copyrighted ? Thanks
Important! Images on demo (except images in Compact Dummy, Landing page, Layer and Revolution Sliders) are copyrighted and you cannot use them without purchasing proper licenses. We do not distribute them in theme package. You must refuse importing media files during content installation. We are not responsible for any possible copyright infringement.
Hi, we are not asking technical questions. We are asking if those images in revolution sliders are free to use ? See my original question for more info. Thanks
Sorry. Shot a pre-made reply to a wrong comment (comments to different themes are mixed in authors dashboard)
Those images are not in Slider Revolution. They are in Porthole slider. They are copyrighted as well.
