I want to insert 4 widget columns on the home page instead of the 3 that are there. How do I go about doing that?
Hey! Thank you for purchasing my theme, I truly appreciate it! Support for all my themes and templates is conducted through the support forums, if you’d like to start a new thread over there either myself or the support team can take a look at your issue !
meant to say that on this profile
We use your themes, and we like it so much! But we have some problem, we can’t change the font size in the H-group. I set the H1 font size 16 on the hawk panel, but nothing happened? How can I set the H-group font size? Thanks for your help.
I know this theme supports 4 menus.
Can I use the theme without the navigation bars at the top and bottom(footer)?
Will doing so require major code modification?
If you want, you can remove them. It’s easy.
I’ve noticed this theme uses the timthumb library for resizing images…with the recent security issue related to timthumb, how stable is this theme?
It has the latest version of timthumb. Don’t worry.
I´ve got an security issue with timthumb. This is an infection that targets WordPress blogs by injecting malicious content in the head section (as check_wp_head_load) and redirecting traffic to malicious sites.
Is it possible to deactivate timthumb as image resizing tool and use another? Or do I need to do this by hand and remove it completly?
Is the theme compatible with the current wordpress 3.4.2 version? If i buy this theme i will get the latest update for the current wordpress version? Thanks for your answer.
Yes, it can be used in wp 3.4.2
I have purchased your theme because you claim:
Translate ready:Default language is en_US. Included en_US.po and en_US.mo.
And on the SECOND slide of the DEMO you can read:
This theme has been localized for easy translation. Using the theme’s MO and PO files, you can quickly translate the design without having to hunt through the theme’s PHP …
There is NOTHING about translating the theme in the supplied documentation and you claim:
BTW I am NOT a newbie. I have translate numerous templates before but never have I had that much problem to translate a theme like Thunder. Thunder is NOT EASY TO TRANSLATE and certainly is NOT TRANSLATE READY !
Hi again HawkTheme,
I need to change my statements in my last comment.
I finally figured out how to translate Thunder (or any other ThemeForest themes) using the poedit.exe program.
define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');
* WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English.
* Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the chosen
* language must be installed to wp-content/languages. For example, install
* de_DE.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de_DE' to enable German
* language support.
Remember to configure your Wordpress installation to the SAME *.mo file name that you chose when “saving as” in poedit.
I had save it to
fr_CA.mo = French for Canada
but as you can see in the last chunk of codes, my wordpress config.php file was configured to
fr_FR.mo = French for France.
So, like the other ThemeForest templates, Thunder is easy to translate using poedit program.
But still, nowhere on the help-support forum there is instructions to use poedit. It is not in the documentation either. That would be easy to add and it would make an improvement for user experience.
Sorry for my last post.
How do I view the blog posts complete?
I would not just let the summary of each post. And yes the show by posting entire articles in the area of the blog.
Please email me using my profile contact form.
It’s a new WP version 3.5. Have you tested the theme with this WP release? Can I upgrade it?
Yes, you can. But you’d better to backup you data before you update it.
After Updating to Wordpress 3.5, these appear on top of the theme:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/jfam63/public_html/wp-content/themes/thunder/framework/plugins/post-types-order/post-types-order.php on line 173 and defined in /home/jfam63/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990
Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/jfam63/public_html/wp-content/themes/thunder/framework/plugins/post-types-order/post-types-order.php on line 251 and defined in /home/jfam63/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990
Please advice on how I can fix this.
Hi, please download the latest version of the theme from themeforest.
Is the theme compatible with the current wordpress 3.5 version? Thanks for your answer. Because gallery_list does not work
Yes, in our demo site is using the wp3.5
please see the gallery shortcode here: http://thunder.themedownloaded.com/gallery-lists/
Don’t use the wordpress gallery shortcode.
Is there an html version of this theme?
NO, we don’t sale the html version.
Horizontal breaks in the theme appear as an almost calligraphic style. However in the theme horizontal breaks between sections appear as normal. Where is the setting used in the theme? Thanks. Oh, and nice job.
Actually not horizontal breaks, I guess you would call them separators or lines, but yours are very nice, but the one appearing on the site are just plain lines?
Also what is the default image size for the sliders so the images won’t be expanded by the plugins?
1). Please show me the page with issue.
2). Which slide type are you using?
The site I am working on is closed to the public. I am using the Nivo slider so I just wanted to know what the preferred image size is. As for the section separator, on my pages it looks like this —-—-—- but on your demo it looks something like —--/`-—-. LOL that is a real old school drawing there. Anyway, the section separator on the demo is a transparent gray maybe that appears between all of your sections and looks like some sort of fleuron design. Thanks again.
1). The size is 976*368.
2). I’m not sure I can understand you clearly. But the theme we are using on our demo site is as same as you downloaded from themeforest.
We are out from the 30th Jan to 25th Feb ! If you have any issue, please contact with us after 25th Feb.
That’s okay. I found it. Its div class br and hr. Thanks and again, great job.
The Twitter feed is not working what would be wrong? i put my Twitter ID in so should just work right?
Also I try to go on the forums but link is not working if you could let me know when use are back on the 25th
I need to change the font size of the “Read Me” that appears on the Nivo Slider. It has a rel=”bookmark” but I have not found that in the .css.
