I have tried to follow the instructions, but do not understand how to set up the slider images. Can I have a proper, detailed explanation on how to do it?
The slider shows the featured images of posts or pages, depends on what you choose in the dashboard. After you choose either a category(for posts) or pages, you’ll need to just add a featured image for all the included posts or pages and they’ll show up in the slider. that’s all.
I’m having trouble with this as well. I have selected posts as my featured image slider and have added a featured image to a post, but nothing is showing up on my homepage slider.

Is it possible to remove the title that appears above the body of the text for pages only (including the wrapper)? I’ve been able to remove the title, but the wrapper still exists.

Check out www.kostkicki.se – I’ve two issues. First, there’s no slider appearing (Safari and Chrome, latest versions, Mac) regardless if I set to posts or pages. The posts have specified thumbnails and info, as does the pages, and everything should be set up correctly. Any idea why?
Second, the arrow buttons seem fixed absolutely rather than dynamically, which breaks the UI as you’ll see on the URL provided above. This seems like something you should fix, but if you provide a solution I can implement it myself.

I see you fixed the slider, you need at least 2 posts… as for the arrows, go to style.css and play with this value until you get the correct look:

Thanks, I can do that, but if you just tell me what the problem is, I can probably fix it myself. Could I switch Cufon font, or is something wrong UTF?
you need to regenerate the cufon font and replace the current .js cufon file from the /js/ folder with the new one that has all the characters included
Thanks for the advice. I tried, but when I replace it, the slider on the front page goes away (nothing else changed except replacing cufon-yui. As said, though, the same font seems to be used in the blog, and there it has the special characters, but they don’t appear on pages. I can’t see any code for two Cufons so I assume it’s the same?
As I said, I need the details in order to modify the files.

Not by default, but it will probably work with the shortcodes the e-commerce plugin offer
Hello, thanks for the great theme, so far it’s been pretty easy to use, and i see your tech support is pretty good on here too. Alas the time has come, i need some help with a few issues. 1. on the home page, the left slide show navigation thinger is kind of oddly spaced. 2. is there any way to change the colors of the main LARGE cufon text on the pages. I’ve tried to edit the css file, and it worked fine for the paragraph text. but it dosen’t seem to be working for the main text above it. Any ideas? 3. For some reason, the “tabs short code” is not working on any of the pages. I did notice a misplaced ” ] ” in the documentation that came with the theme, but when i move it to where it should be, i get nothing but a white box where the tabs should be. the url for the site is www.moramarcoacupuncture.com/wordpress/ hope you can help.

Don’t use html tags, use the normal url to the images, that should do it
one last thing. and i think it’s all good. :o) On all the pages, the “quote” area at the top just under the navigation, is there a way to get that to display text that is not in the actual page or post? Meaning can it show something different than the first paragraph of the main text? Great theme, pretty easy to work with. thanks
Yes, use the top_description custom field and add the text there

Hey, I really like your theme… but why is it removing all my

no, what do you mean? are there shortcodes for paragraphs? i just used the normal html tags.
ah, now i get it… YES! I’m using them in column shortcodes… and I just checked it works outside of the shortcodes… is there a way to use both (shortcodes and html paragraphs)?

Hi! Great theme! Have tried everything to get the slider to work with both posts and pages. Am using 2 slider posts and have tried both insert the image link and featured image and nothing shows up! Need to get this done today!
It’s not possible to use both posts or pages in the slider, you need to use either posts or pages

Hi, maybe someone ask the same question before, but it’s possible to edit dynamically (with the content of one page, por example) the home section under the slide, where now are “Let’s get started” and you can choose in the menu the pages that u want to show (but with a static and non-editing style, it isn’t?).

I try to add a child theme upon to control the theme, but something seems to go wrong with the slider : The slider doesn’t display the featured page/post The Nav button (triangle left is shifted on the left) No button is displayed below (as no featured post/page is displayed) What should I do to make run the child theme. Does it need an extra condition in function.php to overide ?

-> How can I manage to use a different font from the Landliebe. I need to use cufon and to use specific and commercial font (not Google one). A .js function declare the font line 73 in the ‘functions.php’ file….What is you’re hint to undeclare/unregistrered it and add another one in the child theme ?

Generate a new .js cufon file for your font, put it in the js folder and then load it in functions.php like the landliebe one
ok…but the script concerning LandLiebe500 is still registered. An extra line in the functions.php of my child theme do not overide it. (sorry, your theme is great !!!.... but the font style of your theme is hard to customize comparing to others)
PS : I try to add font face but it isn’t displayed in firefox…just Chrome
you can remove the landliebe line and it won’t be registered.
also you can go to includes/scripts.php and remove:
Cufon.replace('.landliebe'); Cufon.replace('.text_2_5');to remove Cufon.
I know it’s a little bit tricky, I only used Cufon in my first theme because that’s how it was originally designed, now I switched to google web fonts
I won’tremove anything of the theme (it’s so boring when you’ve got to update) > I’m working with a child theme.
Considering this, you’re trick does not work, and for I-don’t-know-the-reason, the font-face font aren’t recognize OMG…i’ve spend so many time on this problem..i’m really fed up
