Yeap. That was what I tried to state in the first sentence of my last post on here.

I used the tumblog button to create my post, via the dashboard TUMBLOG interface (not the WP one). When I go to edit the post, the tumblog fields ARE checked and the variables (ie: link URL for “link”) are located under the body area of the post.

But when I view my live web page, it only says “post.”

Please let me know.

Hi-

It would be super neat if you had a color picker for the dark grey header/menu bar. How can I change the color of that? Love this theme, btw!

Hi Starling

Good suggestion and something we are considering adding to the theme (stay tuned).

In the meanwhile it is possible to edit the colors by adding the following the the custom.css file:

header-container{background: #yourcolor;}

footer-container{background: #yourcolor;}

:)

Heya mate, would it be possible to write the code for me that would allow me to display the name of the author just below the short link?

Hi Ray

I would suggest using one of our Approved Modifiers:

http://www.obox-design.com/approved_modifiers.cfm

Hope that helps

Your documentation does not work on the mac. Please fix this. It would have been nice to not have to figure out required plugins, image sizing and video sizing on my own.

Hi Jeradhill

That is definitely not meant to happen, I will check out docs and see why you weren’t able to open them. You can also access the documentation via our site: Obox Theme Docs.

Hi Imcom

Do you mean typography? If so we have a custom typography manager that you can use: http://www.obox-design.com/ocmx-live.cfm

Hi-

I bought this theme from a different themeforest account (starling) and I just wanted to say that I love it. www.folkloredesign.com helped me get it set up the way I wanted it.

It’s true that the documentation could have been better, but it looks like these guys are working on that and will continue to add cool stuff to the theme.

Good work, guys!

Love the look of this, but wondered if there’s still a problem working on this with a macbook. And can I make my tinyblog green touch turn into orange? Yeah, I’m a newbie.

Hi Wilson

Tinyblog will work perfectly on a Mac (it was developed using macbooks), if you want to change the green link color you can do so by using the simple color selector in the WordPress admin panel (described in the documentation).

Hope that helps,

Dave

Before buy it, I would like to know if it’s possible to use a pink color on this theme ? Thanks.

Hi Alex

You can change the link color to pink, if you want to go “more pink” it’s possible to do so some simple changes to the CSS .

Hope that helps, if you have any other questions please let me know.

Hi,

I have just installed your theme and activating it I verify a significative loss of performances (with base WP content) between Twenty Ten 1.2 basic theme and you TinyBlog theme. I talk about 15 sec to 1 sec to create the home page with the “hello world” article.

Any sugggestion?

Hi, I like your theme very much and purchased it, but I do get an error when installing. The error says:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{’ in c:\domains\sponiza.nl\wwwroot\sponizaorglog\wp-content\themes\tinyblog\ocmx\includes\update_theme.php on line 48

Could you please let me know what is happening? I checked the php file but it looks good to me, specifically the brackets :).

Thanks!

Hi Spiniza,

You will just need to update your server to PHP5 , here’s an article on the steps you’ll need to take to do so (or you could just ask your host)

Thanks

also, having issues logging in to your site for documentation. is the transaction code the purchase code you are looking for? I enter my info, and the page just reloads when I click submit to log in.

I installed theme and got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function woo_tumblog_the_title() in /home/content/02/8084702/html/wp-content/themes/tinyblog/functions/fetch-list.php on line 71

Hi Kevin

To get your transaction/Purchase code you need login to ThemeForest and go to the “Downloads” tab you will see a link below the theme title called “License Certificate” http://cl.ly/7thr. The .txt file in that download contains your “Item Purchase Code” which you can then use to login to the Obox forums.

Once you have your purchase code you can login to our forums where our team can help out with technical issues.

Hi CreativePotato

Thanks so much for the positive feedback :) We are really glad that you like TinyBlog!

The font that I used for the Logo is called “Calgary Script” which you can purchase here: http://marketplace.veer.com/font/calgary-script-umt0000326

Hope that helps, if you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks… yes one more question… I want to have an image as the first constant post with some text… I have chosen a date in the future.. which is fine because it keeps that image post at the top of the first page but it defaults to 1970… can I omit this date… ? I don’t want to use the Slider functionality… it doesn’t really work with what I’m using the blog for.

Many thanks

CP

Hi CP,

In /functions/fetch-list.php and /fucntions/fetch-post.php you can remove the following lines to ommit the date:

<?php echo date(‘jS M Y ’, strtotime($post?>post_date)); ?>

Regarding the slider, if you remove it from your Widgets section it should not appear anywhere on the site.

Thanks

Hi,

When I do a text post, is there a way to have an abbreviated version on the home page with a “more” button?

When I used WP’s internal command, it’ll truncate the content, but it doesn’t say “read more” so people won’t know to click.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Caseon,

You can use the excerpt field when adding/editing posts, that will allow you to truncate your posts by putting in a summary for the post.

Hi,

I’m having the same problem as caseon3 except in this instance, the excerpts are not being shown either.

What should I try next?

Cheers

Those of you who installed this theme and got the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function woo_tumblog_the_title() in /home/content/02/8084702/html/wp-content/themes/tinyblog/functions/fetch-list.php on line 71

You need this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/woo-tumblog/ Just download and install…

Btw, thanks Obox for a great theme!

Cheers

Hi Mankieman,

You will just need to install the Woo Tumblog plugin, and once that’s done you’ll have no issues.

Please also upgrade to the latest version of TinyBlog under Theme Options > Upgrade, that’ll remove the error.

Thanks

Hi Mtsui

For support you have to post your questions on our forums (as mentioned on the TinyBlog page). Our support crew are super responsive there.

To login to our forums you need to use your TF Purchase code. To get your purchase code you need to login to ThemeForest and go to the “Downloads” tab, you will see a link below the theme title called “License Certificate” http://cl.ly/7thr.

The .txt file in that download contains your “Item Purchase Code” which you can then use to login to the Obox forums.

Once you’ve got your code click here to login and go to our forums.
