Nice theme! ;)

satoridesign

Thank you, TagDiv!

I like the design but, it takes a long time to load in chrome, also I get snowblinded (white screened) when changing pages, can that be fixed to stay dark?

satoridesign

Hey CanCars, thank you for expressing interest in my items!

To answer your questions: - the loading time depends heavily on the size of the background images and the number of slides in the background slider; in the demo I’ve tried to make the background images as sharp as possible and retain maximum visual quality, partially at the expense of the loading speed. After reading your comment I’ve decided to try to compress the images as much as possible, and managed to reduce the disk space taken by each image by half. Please try loading the homepage now, preferably in Incognito mode. In case the demo website’s front page takes more than 3-4 seconds to load fully on your machine, please let me know, it might be an issue of my hosting server.

- regarding the second issue, the white screen appears while switching pages since the background of the browse is white; unfortunately, it cannot be forced to become dark. However, I cannot seem to be emulate the problem on my machine (in Chrome incognito mode) – could you possibly create a short screencast of how it looks like e.g. in Screenr (it’s free and really simple to use), as well as tell me if you observe the same effect in other browsers.

CanCars

Ahhh Yes, its loads very quick now… I’ll try some different browsers to see how it looks.

Impressive design

Thanks, Oneeyelab, doing my best :)

Hi, includes sample data?

satoridesign

Hey Dave,

Thanks for taking interest in my work!

Yes, the theme package includes sample data for importing. It also includes a file with the full content code from the demo’s front page.

Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

Hello Andrew,

I just purchased your Tokyo business template but it will not upload into wordpress. Please help me understand why this is happening.

Thank you, Michael Woodall

satoridesign

Hey Michael,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

For me to be able to give a sensible advice, please describe the following (the more details, the better): - steps you took to upload the theme - what went wrong (error message? white screen? infinite loop?)

Problem solved. When uploading the theme template via wordpress you have to use ONLY the “installable Word Press components”...it won’t accept the file AS IS. Thank You.

I’m glad you’ve managed to solve this one, Michael! Should you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

Andrew…does Tokyo have a forum, or is it easy to set one up inside Tokyo without too much hassle? Thanks

satoridesign

Hey Michael,

Tokyo does not have a built-in forum, yet you can set it up quite conveniently using one of the available third-party WordPress plugins. The largest and probably the most elaborate one is bbPress; I am using it for my support forum as well.

There are also specialized forum software offers not designed specifically for WordPress yet which work fine with this CMS, e.g. Vanilla.

Hey Michael,

we have bought tokyo theme. Its really nice but we have couple of questions. 1/ We can´t anywhere find the size of pictures eg. logo, size of jpegs in image slider – we want to have the theme look like in the preview. Can you pls tell us where to find it or send the size? 2/ Also if we like to keep the font – is it a google font and ehich one? 3/ And the last question – it looks like we dont have the Front page layout in template options – its probably our fault but do you have any experience with it.

Thanks a lot again

Hey Kwt_77,

before we proceed, I will need to ask you for your item purchase code for verification purposes; this is a standard procedure for every user of the themes. Please log into your ThemeForest account and go to your “Downloads” page. Locate the theme you purchased in your “Downloads” list and click on the “License Certificate” link next to the download link. After you have downloaded the certificate you can open it in a text editor such as Notepad and copy the Item Purchase Code. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Michael, according to your request we are sending Item purchase nr.: Item Purchase Code: cf822b5c-1372-4cb9-8ef1-36c8cbba62ed

Thanks

Hey Kwt_77,

I will answer your questions in the same order:

1). Ideally, I would recommend background image size of 2600×1500 pixels, since a sizeable fraction of Internet users have 2560×1440 px monitors these days. JPG is the best format in terms of file size and hence load speed, especially if you optimize and compress it slightly. In general, I would say that a single background image should not be much larger than 500 kB in size. The logo can be of any size; the logo image used in the theme demo can be found inside the theme folder, in the /images/ subfolder.

2). The Google font used by default is “Armata”. You can set any Google Font for the body text and headings in the “Typography” tab of the Theme Options panel.

3). This issue hasn’t been reported before – could you please provide a screenshot of the opened drop-down for the page template options box (see theme manual page 4 for more information).

Hello, my template does not look like the demo, you got an easy way to configure this, I clarified that I am beginner in this. and my English is not very good. apologize for this

satoridesign

Hey Petersar,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

There is no guide in the theme manual for making a new WordPress installation look exactly like the demo because every buyer generally needs the theme for their own purposes and has own preferences for the colours, pages, etc.

However, if you wish to recreate a copy of the theme demo, please let me know which items you have troubles matching (and provide your website’s URL) – I will be glad to help you configure the theme and will provide detailed instructions on the needed issues.

Hi,thanks for your answer, I progress with the template, if I have any problems you consult. thanks again

can I use gravity form plugin with the theme? Is it possible to use other plugins also for pricing tables?

satoridesign

Hey Hotsugar,

thank you for expressing interest in my items!

In general, Tokyo works fine with third-party plugins, however ThemeForest themes cannot guarantee compatibility with 100% of all plugins, since there are just too many out there. In case of any compatibility issues, I help people out on my support forums.

It’s worth noting that there is a completely free contact forms generator built right into the Tokyo theme, you can see it in the theme demo on this page.

Should you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

this theme is the great theme. thank you themeforest. i give 5 stars and i like this theme. i love this theme.

;)

Hi,

I great job with this theme, I just purchased it and installed it. I am only having some issues with getting any of the header sliders to work. Not even the HTML option is working. Is there a support email or forum where I can get some help?

Thanks, Ulises

satoridesign

Hey Ulises,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

The first thing that we’ll check is as follows: please let me know if you’ve ticked the “Display custom header” option in the “Header Elements” tab of the theme options panel. In addition to that, I will mention just in case (probably you’ve done that already) – please take a look at the “Custom headers” section of the theme manual. If nothing of the above offers any help, we’ll continue troubleshooting ;)

Regarding your question: apart from here, you can also create a forum post on my forums if that’s a more convenient way for you, or write an email to support[at]satoristudio.net – I reply to all messages from the three channels.

Best,
Andrii / Satori Studio

Hey, I have imported the standard content layout from the demo and the website isn’t working well using the wordpress importer.

Here is the link http://mk1990.com/testbench/

satoridesign

Hey Mk1990,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

At the moment I can see no errors or glitches on the page you’ve linked to, it displays the blog of your website. In WordPress, the theme data does not affect general website settings, e.g. which page serves as a front page. In order to have a static front page, please change the settings in the “Settings -> Reading” admin area (for more information on this, see also theme manual, page 4). Should you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio

Hi, can i turn off the stick menu? and logo?

satoridesign

Hey Iljaan,

thank you for expressing interest in my work! To answer your question – yes, you can turn off the fixed top section feature in the Tokyo theme, whereby all header content will become scrollable just like all other parts of the website.

Should you have more questions about the theme, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio

Hi there!

I love the way your theme looks on the demo page. I purchased it hoping to configure the home page in a very similar fashion. However, (this may be because I’m a bit dense), I cannot figure out which short codes are being used on the home page of http://satoristudio.net/tokyo/ ... If possible, can you create a quick guide on which settings to use to duplicate your home page? Thanks! :)

satoridesign

Hey Kittenizer,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

There are two ways you can duplicate the front page from the theme demo: either by importing the demo content which comes with the theme, or filling the front page content “by hand”. I will cover both methods below, in the same order.

In WordPress, you can import data by going to Tools -> Import, clicking on the WordPress installer and installing it in the pop-up window, then clicking “Activate Plugin & Run Importer”, and choosing the following file to upload (from inside the downloaded theme package): Resources/Tokyo_demo_content.xml

After you press “Upload file and import”, do not forget to check the “Download and import file attachments” box (you can also set the author for the imported posts in the same screen, but that is not mandatory), then press “Submit”.

Please note that the data does not contain any settings in the „Settings“ admin panel section or any Theme Options panel settings; you will also need to assign the menus to their respective locations: for WordPress version 3.5 or lower, in the “Theme Locations” box in the top left corner of the Appearance—> Menus admin page; for WordPress version 3.6 and higher, make sure that the theme location tickbox is checked in the „Menu Settings“ section right under the menu constructor.

If you do not want to import the entire demo website content, you can find the full content of the front page here. These are the exact shortcodes and tags that are used on the demo front page. Please note that apart from the above, some of the content of the front page is being displayed via widgets. To duplicate that, please set the “Static Front Page with Widgets” option in the “Page Elements” tab of the Theme Options panel to “Static Front Page with Widgets”; then visit the “Appearance -> Widgets” admin section and drag a “Better Recent Posts” widget into the widget area called “Front Page Below Content”.

Should you face problems with any of the above, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio

The background image is not working for the blog page. It is working for every other page except for the blog.

satoridesign

Hey Staceeandco,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

The background image for the blog posts page in Tokyo is defined by the default background image which is set in the “Appearance -> Background Settings” admin section, “Slides Source” tab.

Should you have additional questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

It seems to only be a homepage issue. Can you look into that for me? Thank you in advance.

satoridesign

Dear Staceeandco,

first of all, thank you for the purchase!

This issue hasn’t been reported previously, and I cannot seem to be able to reproduce it on my instance of Tokyo – would you be able to provide access to your website’s backend for me to be able to perform hands-on testing? You can send the credentials to support@satoristudio.net (no disclosure guaranteed). Thanks!

Sincerely,
Andrii / Satori Studio
