Hi there,

Is there any way to duplicate the homepage (main index) template to use this on inner pages as well? Have been playing around in the Theme Editor trying to copy code etc. but i’m stumped!

Appreciate your help, and thanks for an awesome theme :)

Cheers, Sam

Hi there. Duplicate it how? Which elements are you talking about here? Shoot me an email through the form on my profile; I offer support via email.

Cheers.

Sent you an email. Thanks again :)

Hi there! Thanks for the great theme. Got it installed and am working on the menu. I created a new menu and associated with the theme. The menu shows up on the site, only the sublinks do not. The menu only shows the main parent links (no drop down for the child links :( ). I checked the documentation and the comments here to see if there was a fix but I did not see anything. Help? :)

Thank you so much! I will try that!

Default-user

That worked perfectly, thank you!! I have one other question: Is it possible to give mobile users the option to view the desktop website? Like a link I can add in the footer? Thank you

BonfireThemes

Yeah. There should be an option on the Any Mobile Theme Switcher settings page.

i have a wp site already and looking to add mobile version.y site have gallery, google map, contact us email, and slider. would these all transfer to this mobile theme?

BonfireThemes

Anything that isn’t built into your desktop theme should transfer over, yeah.

i just purchased , but i have an error.. “The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

BonfireThemes

You’re installing the entire package. You need to just install the theme.

Presale questions, please. We like the template but client wants to change up the menu and we need to know how versatile that is.

They want the menu item to be on the left instead of right.

They want the interior menu items to also have text on them like the home page.

And finally they want to replace the search menu with a map icon and have it go to a google map location.

We are thinking we can add text to the images on the interior menu – can we make the menu size higher without it messing up the page proportions?

We know css and have edited core files before when needed – so not completely clueless. If these menu items are handled by the WP menu option, we think it’s doable, but not sure it might be hardwired?

BonfireThemes

Hi there.

The menu is built using the WordPress menu builder, yes. And everything you mention is possible from a code standpoint, but would take some doing still, so they’d have to be paid customizations if you’re looking for me to do them.

Cheers.

Any chance you can implement some ‘tab’ shortcode? It and Accordian appear not to be featured, only Toggle boxes.

BonfireThemes

I probably will add more shortcodes in the future, yeah; don’t have a date to give you though. Until then, there are a ton of free plugins out there that can accomplish those for you easily.

Cheers.

Hi – just a pre-sales question.

I added the demo app to iOS Home Screen (so adding it my iPhone as a web app) and when you click “Call” and “Email”, nothing happens. It doesn’t generate a call / email.

However when you view the theme within Safari, both of these functions work.

Is there a fix for this?

BonfireThemes

Hi there. I just re-tested iOS 6 and 7, both buttons work fine.

Cheers.

hello, pre-sale question: is it possible to embed it in a webview inside xcode as a native app? is there any app inthe apple store that uses it in order to test it? thanks and congrats for your incredible theme!

BonfireThemes

Glad you like it. Haven’t tested it like that though.

Cheers.

I seem to have a problem with some pages being unable to access the menu. When you touch it, it just sort of flashes with no response. http://mattcan.com/prmusic/services/motion-pictures (the theme is only activated for mobile)

BonfireThemes

Hi there.

I see you’ve done some editing. Have a look at your footer’s source code. It ends with ”</”. No closing body or html tags in sight. They’re there on the front page but not on the page you linked to.

You can see the mobile site on your desktop through this link: http://mattcan.com/prmusic/services/motion-pictures/?am_force_theme_layout=mobile

Then just view the source and you can see for yourself.

Cheers.

Default-user

I didn’t edit the footer.php file and I can’t find the ”</” you are talking about. I see a closing body and html tag. view-source:http://mattcan.com/prmusic/services/motion-pictures/?am_force_theme_layout=mobile?am_force_theme_layout=mobile or here’s a screen shot of what I see: http://mattcan.com/prmusic/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Screen-Shot-2014-06-04-at-9.30.59-AM.png

I do see in the footer.php file that there are specific code only for the home page.

Sorry if I’m missing something obvious but that’s the picture of what I see.

BonfireThemes

The link you’ve given above is incorrect. You have two instances of ”?am_force_theme_layout=mobile” there, which reverts to the desktop site, not mobile.

You’re also logged in (“log out” link is present in the screenshot). Log out, check the following link and you’ll see what I’m talking about: http://mattcan.com/prmusic/services/motion-pictures/?am_force_theme_layout=mobile (there are even visual errors in the form of bars at the top and bottom of the page).

If you need further assistance, shoot me an email through the contact form on my profile. A support forum this is not :) Cheers.

is it a plugin or a theme i m sry i m new to bloggimlng world.
do i have to install it in my server or i can do it in my wordpress account

BonfireThemes

Hi there. It’s a theme. Themes are installed onto your WordPress installation.

Cheers.

This theme look awesom but kindly answer this my presale question. I have a buddypress installed on my website and I will like it to be available on my mobile site how possible is this with your mobile theme? also is it possible to install it on the same wordpress installation with my main theme?

BonfireThemes

Hi there, thanks for you interest.

Haven’t tested with buddypress, so I can’t speak to that. But yes, you can install Touch on your existing WordPress installation; the included documentation covers that.

Cheers.

Hey, thanks for this brilliant theme! I have one problem. I use two different themes for mobile and desktop. Touch as mobile. If I create a new page for mobile – there are no page attributions because I didn’t activated the touch theme. What is the solution therefore?

Thanks and best, Lukas

BonfireThemes

Hi there, glad you like it. What Touch does is reflect your desktop theme’s content. What attributes are you looking for?

I’m looking for hiding the title bar. That would be great!

BonfireThemes

The menu at the top you mean? Simple enough. Send me an email through the form on my profile and I’ll tell you how. Just a simple css change.

The styles are getting mixed up on the theme. I am using Any Mobile Theme switcher, because I have a different desktop theme.

Please help.

BonfireThemes

Hi there. Looks like you have some third-party plugin error messages there. I’ve replied to the email you sent.

Hello, I just bought your theme. Great simplicity. I’ve only stumbled once with search. I’ve got pages I’ve just added to the site but when I use the search box to search their titles and content, I never get any results. Is there something I need to add to the search.php to make the site search pages properly? Thanks.

BonfireThemes

Hi there, thanks for the purchase and the kind words :)

If you want to include pages in your search results, have a look at functions.php and simply remove the block of code located below // Exclude pages from search results

Cheers.

Perfect! Works like a charm. Thanks!

BTW, one search feature I’d like to add is the highlighting of the search term found within the page. I can wrap the keyword in a <mark> element if you can give me a hint on the best way to do that within your template. Looks like the search.php template is the place, but i’m not terribly familiar with wordpress/php code, but I can tinker and discover things (my main area is the HTML/CSS/JS stack and C#). So I’ll experiment with your search.php template, unless you have a different place or two I need to look. Thanks, again!

BonfireThemes

I haven’t done what you’re trying to do with marking the search term, so I can’t be of help there I’m afraid. But search.php is what displays the search results, indeed.

bdenham Purchased

Glad to know I’m in the right place. Seems logical enough! I am exploring my options now. Thanks, again!

BonfireThemes

Sure thing :)

Can’t seem to figure out why custom templates aren’t working in the Touch theme. Every page just defaults to the page.php template and when I try to make additional templates, not sure how to link them. I am only using the touch theme for mobile devices, does that make a difference?

BonfireThemes

If you are using Touch as a secondary theme through the Any Mobile Theme Switcher plugin, then you should know that page templates in themes can’t be used cross-theme as they’re hardcoded into said theme. It’s simply the way WordPress works.

You’d need to move them over to the Touch theme.
