Hi,

Yes, this would be possible. There are a couple of simple ways to do it, you can either do it through building a page or modify one of the files slightly. I am happy to send you the code though if you need help.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi there,

I’m interested in using this for my website www.GuestlistClubs.com – mainly for the contact form part… I’d like to know if it is possible add a drop-down selection box in the contact form itself?

Thanks Tom

Default-user

Hi,

Yes, it would be fairly easy to add a drop-down selection box, you would simply need to add the field to one of the theme files. I’m happy to send you a revised file for this if you need help.

Kind regards,

Tom

Great – thanks Tom, will let you know when I’ve made a start…

Cool stuff. Isn’t this more of a “plugin”?

Default-user

Hi,

Thanks! This is a complete wordpress theme and not just a plugin. For example, the best way to use it would be to use something like mobile pack:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/

So you would display one theme to desktop users and display this theme to mobile/tablet users. I hope this makes sense, any more questions please feel free to ask!

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

I’ve made a purchase and installed, I have a problem though… It won’t allow me to use the theme in the switcher, if I select it, it goes back to the default theme. Thinking this was an issue with my install I tried one of the “WP Mobile Pack” themes, and they seem to work fine…

I’m using WP Multisite with Buddypress – would that be causing any issues?

Thanks Tom

Default-user

Yep, network activated the theme, selected it in the switcher but it just defaults back to the last default when saving…

I’m using the latest WP too, I don’t have to change anything in my config file?

Default-user

I just had a play around with WP Multisite and I think I might know the problem. Maybe you could send me an email at info@22lines.com and I will explain!

Thanks,

Tom

Hi,

If you are still having problems, try using WP Mobile Detector plugin as this works perfectly. There seems to be some issue with the Wp Mobile Pack plugin.

Thanks,

Tom

Hello,

Can qtranslate plugin work with the theme?

Thanks

Default-user

Hi,

Yes, the qtranslate plugin should work fine with this theme!

Thanks,

Hello,

Great theme ! Just a little problem : the contact form when submitted returns a “javascript error” pop up and shows a 500 server error in firefox Web Developer plugin. The mail function works on my server (tested). Any suggestion ?

Default-user

Thanks for purchasing! That is strange, no problems on any of the different installations I have, you have filled out the email and subject in the theme options section?

Thanks,

Tom

ronaute Purchased

Yes I have. I have added require_once(’../../../wp-blog-header.php’); in the mail.php The mail.php could not use get_option function without it. I am surprised that it works on your installations. The email is sent and received and the mail.php now returns success as expected but the script.js still returns ‘Javascript error, please try again’. I don’t understand.

Default-user

get_option is working fine for me and mail is sending on two different servers but I will look into it and see if I can work out why yours wasn’t. The script only looks for a return of ‘success’ so as long as you didn’t change the echo ‘success’ part in the mail.php then there should be no problems. There javascript error should only be seen if the POST wasn’t even made so this won’t show up if the data is POSTed to the PHP file. Maybe you could email your modified file to info@22lines.com and I will take a look.

Thanks,

Tom

Think I know the problem you are having. It will happen with a certain configuration on some servers with wordpress but was fine with mine which is why it didn’t show up. You can add the following line in mail.php before the echo ‘success’ which will fix it (I will update the files to include this fix anyway)

header(‘HTTP/1.1 200 OK’);

Cheers,

Tom

Tom. Is there an option to switch to “full version” web site” once I access from mobile platform?

Thanks.

Nenad

Default-user

Hi Nenad, if you are detecting mobile users and forwarding them, then you should just be able to add a link to the full site and make sure that this link does not redirect them. So this would just be a matter of adding a normal link if you are using multiple wordpress installations for desktop and mobile.

Hope this makes sense, any questions let me know!

Tom, I don’t think that I explain correctly what I’m trying to achieve. Let me try again: I have REGULAR WP installation (FULL WEB SITE ) I would like to install your theme as plugin to FULL WEB SITE so it detects mobile device. Once the MOBILE PLATFORM is shown on mobile device I would like to have option to switch to FULL WEB SITE . I’m just afraid that mobile device will stuck in the loop and show the MOBILE PLATFORM again. Your thoughts?

Regards, Nenad

Default-user

Hi Nenad,

Thanks for explaining, I understand what you are trying to do now. It all depends on the plugin you are using as you may have to tweak it a little bit to allow you to do this, which are you using?

Tom

I am very much interested to buy this theme. I have the same question as ArtBinaire.. I am looking for the ability to switch themes. Mobile -> Full and Full -> Mobile. Please let me know. Kalyan

Default-user

Hi kalyany, how you would do it depends on how you plan to use the theme. If you are going to use multiple installations then it is simply a matter of providing a link that will not redirect mobile users. Maybe you could let me know how you plan to provide both sites and I could help further?

The reason I did not include detailed instructions on this is because there are many different ways of doing it. If you are using WP Mobile Pack then this should be fairly simple.

Tom

do you have a link i can test on my phone? thanks juzz

Default-user

Hi,

If you look at the live preview on your phone that is exactly what you will see as it is actually just a wordpress installation with this theme setup. SO you can either scan the QR code on the description or go to:

http://22lines.co.uk/wordpress/touch-mobile-tablet

to view the theme.

Thanks,

Tom

Support for custom post types?

Default-user

Hi,

Yes it will support custom post types. In fact, the portfolio section of the site is created with a portfolio custom post type already. If you have any further questions, please ask!

Kind regards,

Tom

I running standard WP along with the WMP switcher plugin and I am having the same issue as tomsdesignstudio. I can select any other theme using the Mobile Theme drop down and it will stick, but Touch Mobile Tablet will not save.

Default-user

Hi,

Thanks for purchasing the theme!

This is working on my local installation but after testing with another installation it does seem slightly erratic, it seems to be quite an issue with the plugin. I tested the WP Mobile Detector and that works perfectly so maybe try that plugin instead.

If you have any more problems, please let me know.

Thanks,

Tom

The docs with the theme point to WMP . Also, trying to figure out how can this be used with other themes if the other theme also has Home page template.

Default-user

Hi,

Yes, WMP was working fine with all the tests I did but WP Mobile Detector works equally well if you are having problems. I will update the docs to reflect this. The front page is set in the reading settings so this should work with both themes.

Thanks,

Tom

Do you reckon it would be posibble to create a login section for this, so that it is in the same layout. i would like that when someone first goes on this site on there phone, it would have the logo at the top like in the demo and where al the nevigation links are below have for example a input text box for password and username, and a login button… then when logged in it goes to the actuall home page as shown in demo….

do you think this is achievable?

Default-user

This should be possible, do you mean that they would be signed up as a wordpress user or would you be using your own authentication system? Let me know and I’ll see if it is something I could add to the theme!

Thanks,

Tom

I’d like to know the same as Liam – we want to develop a ‘site’ which holds aid memoirs for an e-learning course. We could add users to the wordpress so ‘paid users’ can login.

Will this work?

Default-user

This should be possible, if they are just signed up through the wordpress system then this should be fairly simple. There are also plugins that may be able to do this.

Let me know if you want this all through the wordpress system as if so, it should be fairly easy to add.

Thanks,

Tom

does it support the custom wp menu?

Default-user

Hi,

Yes it does, the front page menu is automatically created by creating a custom menu.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi. Just purchased the theme but it only shows an empty site with only the background image once activated. Have the following error appearing in the dashboard: Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘remove_admin_bar_style_backend’ was given in /home/dcomp/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 405

Any clue what may cause this?

Default-user

Hi,

Thanks for purchasing the theme! Looking at the error, this sounds like a plugin is causing a problem. Have you tried disabling plugins one by one to find which one may be causing a problem?

Thanks,

Tom

Is there any way I can make specific pages appear on my desktop version, and different pages appear on my mobile site? I need to do this because the shortcodes that I use with my desktop theme do appear as shortcodes on my mobile theme.

Default-user

The easiest thing to do here would probably be to use WP Multisite and redirect mobile users to the mobile version instead of the desktop. Although there may well be a plugin to do what you want. Failing this, if there are only a few shortcodes that you would need to show up on the mobile version as well, it may be easy to integrate them. If you would like any help with this, feel free to email info@22lines.com.

Thanks for purchasing the theme!

Thanks,

Tom

I just purchased this theme. I would like to do what jaretpeerson wants to do as well but for different reason. I want to have just the www.website.com/mobile pages to show up using this theme and i do not wish to use a switcher for the top level site. How do you recommend implementing that.

Default-user

Thanks for purchasing the theme! If you would rather not use a switcher then I think the only real way of doing this is by using multiple installation or one installation with multisite. This way, you can have your mobile installation in the /mobile subfolder and leave the top level for the desktop version.

I hope I have understood you correctly? Any problems, please let me know!

Kind regards

Tom
