I noticed that the nivo slider and drop down menu is working everywhere except for the home page. Is this because of the Wordpress update? Are these bugs fixed in the updated version of the transforms theme?

If so, could you summarize the process of how to update the transforms theme without disturbing the customized website settings?

So just do it like normal. The bottom of the new version update list that says something like “Now update the content of the demo site to your site” and the download link made me think there was a special process or something.

So I downloaded the file from the download link on the transforms page and uploaded the updated theme files to the host server and now I get an error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/content/98/6613698/html/wp-content/themes/transforms/functions/widgets/tabs.php on line 1

Can you please help me figure out why this is happening? I need this fixed ASAP, so your help would be much appreciated.

Ok so I had to restore the entire site to get it back to before. But I’m afraid I’ll break the site again if I try to upload the new theme files. Do you know why I’m unable to update the theme files without breaking my site?

I emailed you because you keep telling me to re-upload the theme, but I’m telling you that it broke my site.

I have tried to re-upload the theme and I’m telling you that it broke my site with the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in ../wp-content/themes/transforms/functions/widgets/tabs.php on line 1

I’m not making it up and I wouldn’t ask for your help unless I tried it first.

bigtreat – your theme update does not resolve the home page slideshow issue – after uploading the new theme – the slideshow still does not rotate the images – please advise on how to resolve this.

Update – the problem with the slider running on the home page is not with your theme – it appears to be an issue with a newer version of JQuery. Nivo slider is not able to handle the latest version.

I was able to get the Nivo slider running again on the home page by pointing to an older version of Jquery file. I added the following line in the header.php file in the theme – I added this right before the </head> tag:

Works again for me – see if this works for anyone else.

Hello,

I am contacting to let you know the Connect feature / social carousel (toward the bottom right of the page before the footer) is not working on the artworksforchange site using the Transform theme.

Another developer and I looked over the functions doc that accounts for taking the user to any of the accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter). We also could not find any connections to the accounts in the php or in the function. Right now, the user can scroll through and rotate the carousel but clicking on any of the thumbnails only reloads the homepage.

Please let me know how we can address this issue.

It is a nice looking theme, but too much things are broken! Two problems that i have is that the slider on the homepage isn’t working and Google Maps on the contact page isn’t pointing to the right location.
