Hi there! The theme looks very nice! However, it does not feel complete to be honest. Here are some points I hope are getting fixed.

- When the browser is not maximized, the main menu (next to the logo) moves down (below the logo) - the ability to rearrange the order of the images - the galleries sometimes load only a part of the portfolio. There is a chance that someone (client for example) visits my website and only sees a part of the portfolio. This is a huge problem, since this theme is supposed to be a portfolio theme) - images in galleries do not show when phone is in landscape mode. When phone is in portrait mode, the photos do show, but i am unable to scroll through the portfolio. Tries it with Windows Phone (lumia 925) and Android (Samsung galaxy).

But i read the comments before me and you stated that the mobile issues will get fixed soon. Can’t wait!

Hi

Thanks.

There is a fix for the top navigation menu, adding this custom css will help you to keep the menu on its place:
.header-part-left {width:70%,}
.header-part-right {width:30%,}

I am aware of the other issues and I will try to update as soon as possible. The main focus will be the mobile version, image bulk upload, image ordering..

Hi BadW, I have the same issue of “kimberleyjanedesign”, not always but sometimes when I browse into the galleries, the images are not displayed at once but only after refresh of the current page. I use Chrome.

Best regards and … we are waiting the various fixes …go BadW go ! ;-) Ste

Hi

Well, I will be investigating this issue and let you know as soon as possible. You can use the grid layout for your portfolio meanwhile.

Hi,

Great Theme thanks!

Is it possible to display the category name where the title names goes in the gallery?

i.e. If I had 5 images in one category (eg travel) is it possible, instead of displaying the titles of the images in the top right could I display the category name instead?

Thanks!

Peenapo

Hi

It should display the category title, not the image name, can you please send me url to this category and access to your admin area so I could have a better look? Please use the contact from in my account

Kind regards

Hello, great theme for sure! i wonder if is it possible to have a background slider in homepage instead a static image.

Thanks

Peenapo

Hi

Thank you for the positive feedback!

The only slider you can have is this one, but it doesn’t slides automatically. You have to hover over a particular category to change the image.

Hi , When I bring the browser as small as it will go it cause the mobile menu box to drop below the logo . is there a way to keep it in the header instead of dropping down? this can be seen at www.2dopedesigns.com when you decrease the browser width as small as possible

Peenapo

Hi

Tiis custom css will fix the issue, please add it to theme options > other > custom css:

.header-part-left {width:70%,}

Hello there, does this theme work well with WooCommerce ? ? ?

Peenapo

Hi

Thank you for the interest to my theme.

Unfortunately this themes doesn’t support woocommerce

Hi, I’ve recently bought this cool theme and I found that sometimes in the image category page not all posts (images) are shown. If I refresh then the images appear. I should add that for my site it is important that the visitors don’t miss any post. Thanks for your attention. Cheers.

Peenapo

Hi

I have been investigating this issue for a while and now I have the fix.

Please follow this steps:

1. Open the file js/main.js 2. Replace this peace of code:

App.animations.rail.resize();
App.animations.rail.size();
App.animations.rail.scrollable();
jQuery(window).resize(function() {
    App.animations.rail.resize();
    App.animations.rail.size();
});
App.animations.rail.start();
App.animations.rail.animate('in');

With this code:

setTimeout(function() {
    App.animations.rail.resize();
    App.animations.rail.size();
    App.animations.rail.scrollable();
    jQuery(window).resize(function() {
        App.animations.rail.resize();
        App.animations.rail.size();
    });
    App.animations.rail.start();
    App.animations.rail.animate('in');
}, 500);

3. Then open the css/main.css file 4. The element “#rail .rail-content li” should look like this:

#rail .rail-content li {float:left;height:100%;opacity:0;}

Hope this works fine, please let me know if the problem persists.

Kind regards

thanks for the quick answer, it seems to work.

How can I slow the speed of the scroll bar down? Currently on my Mac, if I scroll slightly it moves to the end of the post.

Peenapo

Hi

You can slow down the speed by the code only:

Please open the js/main.js file and replace this peace of code:

if(d > 0) {
    TweenMax.to(jQuery('#rail .rail-content'), 0.6, {left:railPosition, ease:Quint.easeOut});
}else{
    TweenMax.to(jQuery('#rail .rail-content'), 0.6, {left:-railPosition, ease:Quint.easeOut});
}

width this code:

if(d > 0) {
    TweenMax.to(jQuery('#rail .rail-content'), 2.6, {left:railPosition, ease:Quint.easeOut});
}else{
    TweenMax.to(jQuery('#rail .rail-content'), 2.6, {left:-railPosition, ease:Quint.easeOut});
}

Hi! Is there a way to increase the height of the header without it overlapping on the gallery container? Currently when I try to increase the size of the header, it overlaps the content below it.

Thanks!

Peenapo

Hi

If you increase the height of the header you will have to increase the top position of all other elements in content like #categorizr .slider .item, #gallery ..

Kind regards

I am also having trouble with the menu bar dropping onto the slider…

I added the additional css, but it didnt take…

any other ideas?

Peenapo

Hi

I see that you fixed this issue

Please let me know if you need my help

Pre purchase questions for you. I’m hoping the theme allows me to do these things.

1 – How are galleries created? For example lets say I want to create a gallery called “A&J Wedding”. Would I then be able to easily add those images to a blog post?

2 – Can I set the home page to have text + the masonry gallery, or just have the homepage display the masonry gallery?

Peenapo

Hi

Thank you for the interest to my theme.

On your questions:

1. Galleries are created by gallery posts and featured images. You can’t bulk upload images. Yes, you can use the same images for blog posts.

2. Yes, you can use a plugin that I mentioned in the theme documentation, so you can set masonry gallery as homepage.

3. The menu includes a close button since the last update.

Kind regards

Default-user

Instead of making people hit the “close” button, will there be an option added later that has the menu close automatically?

Peenapo

Hi

You can do it by the code.

Opening the file: js/main.js

After this line:

bind: function() {

add this peace of code:

jQuery('#navigation-mobile ul a').bind('click', function() {
    jQuery('#navigation-mobile').toggleClass('open');
});

This will close the sidebar after clicking some item. Kind regards

Hi BadWeather, Regarding non scrolling images on tablets and smartphones: I have a quick fix for you and your customers. 1. Open ‘media.css’ in trend’s css folder 2. Scroll down to the ‘lower that 900px’ section (around line 96) 3. under the last style (it was .page-title for me) paste in the following: #rail {left:25px;overflow:visible;} This does two things. It allows the images to start closer to the left-hand margin and – more importantly – because overflow is no longer hidden at the edge of the page, you can now scroll the thumbnails! Took me a little while but this works for me. If others are finding the rest of the page is scrolling i.e. the logo etc, it’s because the ‘viewport’ meta tag in ‘header.php’ isn’t working correctly. If you find you can resize your viewport on your tablet or smartphone replace the <meta name="viewport"… /> line with the following: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" /> This should solve your issues. Thank you.

You can change the original #rail tag in main.css – however, this does introduce a scroll bar at the bottom of your browser.

You’ll find the first solution works for any screen size at 900px or less, but not for an iPad in landscape mode. If you want it to work for landscape tablets, paste the following code in at the bottom of media.css:

@media only screen and (min-device-width: 481px) and (max-device-width: 1024px) and (orientation:landscape) { #rail {left:25px;overflow:visible;} }

This is specifically for landscape tablets. Thanks

Peenapo

Thank you for this information, very simple and useful :)

HI again,

I use plugin “ultimate shortcode” to add galleries or caroussel into my posts . It work well when i open directly the post , but when i open the post from the blog page it doesnt work. Here’s the url : http://www.vthomazo.com/news/

One more question : where can i enter the email used to receive emails from the contact page.

Thanks !!!

Peenapo

Hi

You will have to deactivate the ajax load, please open the js/main.js file and remove this code from the top of the file:

App.djax();

this way all plugins and external javascripts will load properly

Sent a couple of emails regarding a few issues I’m having… figured the gallery issue out. I also searched the comments to see if any one else had an answer and most of the replies was to send a support tickt or contact you via the contact form… which doesn’t help other people with the same problem. Anyway it turns out for ONE gallery (for example) ‘plants’ I need to create a gallery called ‘plants 01’ upload an image… then creat a gallery called ‘plants 02’ and upload an image… then create a gallery called ‘plants 03’ and upload an image… and so on and categorise them all plants! ridiculous! +Menu keeps droping below logo and over image + Can’t seem to create the masonory gallery + Can’t edit contact form + Can’t create a standard blog layout ... 4 hours later website is at the point of being removed and having to spend another 4 hours building my old site back up!

+My default text colour is white… with a white background!!! No option in the theme options to change text colour??? I can change for individaul pages (which is a pain in the ass) but not on blog page? Unless you want to edit your ‘Photography’ wordpress theme painfully slowly and almost all with CSS I would reconsider purchase!... How do I get refund?!

I just replied to your email, Lets continue by mail

Hi, nice theme but it take ages to upload every picture in a single gallery post… is there a different way to do it? well anyway.. We are very happy with the theme.

- Is it possible to start from the quick view gallery when it shows all the images (skip the 1st step) and then click from there the thumbnail and go straight to the image (skip 3rd step)

- I have the same problem that people commented before, some categories doesn’t show all the images, and i have to refresh and then it works.

Thanks for your time!

Peenapo

Hi

Thank you

- Currently this is not possible, I know that using the featured images is not the best way to upload pictures. I really want to change this with the feature updates.

- This options is not available, but it you can add it by the code. Please open the js/main.js file and add this peace of code:

jQuery('#quick-view').trigger('click');

after this code:

// rebuild resizable images
jQuery('#categorizr .full').resizeToParent({parent: '.item'});

// show first slider
jQuery('#categorizr .slider .item:first, #categorizr .author li:first').addClass('visible');

setTimeout(function() {

    // show menu categories one by one
    jQuery('#categorizr .nav .title').each(function(e) {
        (function(self, index) {
            setTimeout(function() {
                jQuery(self).addClass('show');
                if(index+1 === jQuery('#categorizr .nav .title').length) {
                    // activate first category from the menu when all categories are visible
                    setTimeout(function() {
                        jQuery('#categorizr .nav li:first .title').addClass('active');
                    },200);
                }
            },index*50);
        })(this, e);
    });

}, 300);

- I have been investigating this issue for a while and now I have the fix.

Please follow this steps:

1. Open the file js/main.js 2. Replace this peace of code:

App.animations.rail.resize();
App.animations.rail.size();
App.animations.rail.scrollable();
jQuery(window).resize(function() {
        App.animations.rail.resize();
        App.animations.rail.size();
});
App.animations.rail.start();
App.animations.rail.animate('in');

With this code:

setTimeout(function() {
        App.animations.rail.resize();
        App.animations.rail.size();
        App.animations.rail.scrollable();
        jQuery(window).resize(function() {
                App.animations.rail.resize();
                App.animations.rail.size();
        });
        App.animations.rail.start();
        App.animations.rail.animate('in');
}, 500);

3. Then open the css/main.css file 4. The element “#rail .rail-content li” should look like this:

#rail .rail-content li {float:left;height:100%;opacity:0;}

Thanks it work perfect!!

- It is possible to display in my home page the full gallery

- In another page from the quick view (skip the 1st step and the 3rd step)

Thanks for your time, the support is great!

Peenapo

Hi

Happy to hear it :)

- If you use the quick view options you will be able to display 12 photos from each of your categories.

- Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

Hi, I love this theme but I really dont want to have the pictures automatically cropped. Is there no way to stop this happening? I have tried at the size you suggested above but it still seems to be doing it.

Here is a link to the picture. It is the only one I have tried the 1920px x 1080px sizing on: http://79.170.44.140/gregoryjday.com/bw_gallery/film-still-9/

Can you offer any help?

Thanks in advance!

Kim

Peenapo

Hi

Thank you

The image I see is not cropped. Isn’t this the size of image you uploaded? The image is fitting your container as it is 1920×1080

Hi, I thought the problem had been fixed but it’s still happening. Here is a print screen: http://79.170.44.140/gregoryjday.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Screen-Shot-2014-06-18-at-11.43.05.png

It seems this only happens on the homepage itself. The actual gallery item works: http://79.170.44.140/gregoryjday.com/bw_gallery/front-cover/

Is there a way to specify this gallery item as the homepage? Thanks Kim

NOOB QUESTION :
