My navigation bar has a page called FAQs that is a parent page to 6 other pages. When you hover over the FAQs the sub pages are getting cut off. I searched through the discussion section but didn’t find anything. I’ve used both versions of the Twicet template and haven’t found a satisfactory solution for my problem on either version.
Is there a way to style the 3 columns at the bottom of the homepage so that the text in those columns can be zoomed (only the text) and the 3 pictures remain level horizontally across the page.
What seems to be happening is that when the paragraph of one column has lines of text below the other two, that paragraphs picture will be lower than the others.
Basically I want:
1) The pictures are at the same horizontal level 2) The small_box div’s to adjust fluidly to the height of their content 3) The text in the paragraphs above the three column pictures (only the text) can be zoomed and the pictures remain level horizontally.
I’ve tried a bunch of things and can’t seem to get it to work. You can take a look at what I have right now at: bbuserviceswv.com

Hm, i am not sure if this is possible. since these 3 boxes are separated and not connected with css the only way to pull this off would be a javascript that sets them to equal height, or you manually set the css of the boxes to a fixed height and align the images with an absolute position and bottom:0;
unfortunatley the css solution is not very practical and hte scripts that I have seen till date are setting the height of the boxes on page load, so zooming would probably kill the layout again…

I have another question. I modified the portfolio page and it is kicking the Nth entry to the next page. So the last page will only have a single portfolio entry. Any idea what I could have done?

hm not really sure, but I guess the easiest quick fix for you at the current point is to just set the portfolio to display 10 items instead of 9
Excellent design. Also, I’m trying to change the overall width of the site from 940 to 1000 px. Can you please let me know which CSS lines that I have to change? I tried some lines, but it’s not looking right. Thank you in advance.
well to change the width of the site you just need to change the #top div in style css. the problem is that the theme uses a lot of background images with a fixed with. you would need to edit them as well and create larger versions for your site…
What’s the best way to go about changing the size of a Lightbox popup? I’m featuring a video clip inside of the Lightbox and am having some difficulty finding where to change the height & width of it.

I am trying desperately to get the Portfolio page working correctly using my own images. I have broken them down into three different folders and cannot seem to locate the code to make this change.

of course, if you clcik next it shows the big version of the second image on your portfolio page. you need to exchange all the stock pics with your own
Thanks for the response. I guess wnat I am wondering if it is possible to use the individual images on the page as categories and have them bring up different sets of images. I am not a great programmer so I can’t seem to figure this out.

You will see that I have set up Hardscape, Softscape and Woodwork. I would like visitors to be able to click one of the categories and have it go through a set of images relating to that category rather than bringing up the image of the next category.

Hm If I understand you correctly I have to tell you that this is not possible out of the box and would require quite some modifications.
If you need this I would recommend to hire someone who is comfortable with wordpress (many authors here are and do have the time to help for a small compensation)

So I wanted to put a swf in the featured image slider. But it does not work. It’s a very simple flash, with a background and text just appears. Is there a way to work this? When I do embed it, it just doesn’t show and says its a missing flash file? I’ve checked all the path and it just seems that swf files does not function in the image slider? Hey, unfortunatley Ive never meant to make this slider work with swf files and although it is defintiley possible it might need a little more attention than just a short comment here. I would recommend to hire a freelancer with some wordpress and js experience, he should be able to pull this of within an hour or 2…

I can’t figure out how to change the background of the text from grey to white everywhere on the website. Please can you help me?
well, depending on yor skin choice you can find all color infomrations in folder css style1.php (or 2,3,4,5 if you have choosen another skin)
you also need to re-create the background images to accomplish what you need. this needs to be done in photoshop, all files are already pre sliced and ready to be edited in the psd folder.

Template is falling apart in IE8 . I don’t know what to do. It looks perfect in Firefox, Opera and Safari, but in IE – a disaster!
1. Website is aligned left instead of center.
2. Footer and main content are misaligned. 3. Logo is cut off. 4. The width of a small_box on the main page is a mess.

Having difficulty getting the first slider to be a one with text and image like the second and third are. The first slide seems to have an offset whereby the text is being pushed down. I can screenshot if necessary

sorry to hear that, must have missed it the first time. Unfortunatley I am not sure what exactly you mean by link text to a slide. you want to drop a link anywhere on your page and when the link is clicked the new page openes with this slide already opened?
if that is waht you need, sorry this is not possible without completly re writing the custom sliding function
What I mean is to have a text link on the same page (not slide) as the jquery slider, that acts like the thumbnails images (at the bottom of the slider), so when the text link is clicked, then a the relevant slide is “called”.
In other words: If i click on “text 2”, then “thumbnails 2” should be triggered and open “slide 2”.

hey i am sorry but i never had such a feature in mind when i first created the slider and implementing that now would need a major javascript code change, it is unfortunatley not possible out of the box. Only possibility I see is either to do this yourself if you are good with JS or hire someone who can do this…
