Question is how do I get the featured posts to work? Though there might be somewhere in the theme settings to select the featured post but cannot see anything. Also the tabs in the sidebar are not working either. I am obviously missing something?
As thibotus has replied you have to add it under the “Featured” Category so the posts displays on it. We will fix this on the documentation.

@micb11 : You have to select “featured” category for the post you want to appear as featured. Create the category if doesn’t exist.
What are all the tags? The documentation isn’t great in letting me know how to make something featured, include the tweet and fb options, or to add a picture to the post main page and little picture on the summary of it. Help would be appreciated.
For you to make a post featured you have to add to the “Featured” category. The image thumbnails need to be added using wordpress featured image option
im trying to use plugins for vimeo for this theme and cant seem to get them to work properly. i wanted to use the viper video quicktags. why is it not working? also when i set an image as featured image i dont want it to show in the actual post itself. how do i stop that happening?

about the viper video quicktag plugins, if you can give me access to the wordpress install I can take a look, but I am not too familiar with this particular plugin. Also we are making updates on the theme to be able to do what you asked with the featured image. We should have it online very soon.

another problem with this theme…. “use as featured image”. this is really bugging me. it only uses the first image to be inserted in the post as the featured image. i set it again and agian but when i preview it no change. i even deleted the first image and it still shows it! please help.

Joel we are doing an update for the way the theme will handle featured images. The way it does right now it gets the featured image, and ads to the single.php and sends through timthumb.php to create a nice thumbnail so you do not need to crop the image. We will fix that but not adding the featured image through timthumb, and not cropping it, it seems to be a conflict there. I was not able to replicate it but I believe that is the issue.
I’m attempting to set the featured image and it isn’t working correctly. It inserts the image at the beginning of my post and then doesn’t show the right image in the thumbnail. Can you please help?

I think we are going to release the update on next week. But if you want to fix that right now you can go to the file “single.php” and remove line 29

When I perform a fresh install of theme i have tabs “home” and “portfolio” that i can’t seem to remove. The home tab is ok but the “portfolio” tab links to a dead page and if i create another category called “portfolio” it will still keep the original that doesn’t go anywhere… how can i get rid of it?

kawaski I am not sure exactly how you are trying to use it. You can use the wordpress ” menu editor” to fix this, but if you want to completely remove it without touching it. you can go to
header.php – and remove line 156
<?php if(is_home()) { echo ’ class=”current-cat” ’; } ?>>portfolio

The featured images for the Featured and Portfolio aren’t posting correctly… Please let me know what I’m doing incorrectly. One of my posts worked well, however, the others I’ve posted are getting the blue question mark box… The sizes are fine, the color mode is correct and the thumbnails on the right are posting just fine… my site is http://www.fortescreenprinting.com

Thank you for the help Soawe! That fixed the featured image problem. I’ve noticed that gravatar images aren’t showing up right. Only the main author gravatar shows up, while others gravatars don’t.
Any ideas why this might be?

I fixed the problem – I needed to upgrade to PHP 5
I’ve been digging through the CSS files and I can’t find two things I want to change:
1. The line spacing and font size for posts. I can change the line spacing and font size for excerpts on the front page, but when I click on an post on the front page and go to the post’s page, I can’t figure out how to change the line spacing and font size there.
2. I want to change the font style of the navigation under the logo.
I just bought this theme and there is no option to use the dark denim version instead of the light blue and white. How do I change this? Also, there is no installation guide. Do you have one available?

I tried sending you an email earlier this week, but haven’t heard from you, so I’ll try here. For some reason, when I add an image to a post and align it beside text, only the first paragraph will float next to it. The second appears down below the image. Here’s an example: http://reducecholesterolrecipes.com/2011/12/hot-healthy-drink/.
I’ve done everything I can think of to fix it and nothing works. Any help is greatly appreciated.

After hours of searching for a resolution to this problem, I’ve finally found the culprit. For anyone else searching for a solution to this problem, I’ll post it since I don’t think there is any support being provided for this theme anymore (pity, because it’s a beautiful theme, but with no support, I can’t recommend it as it seems to be buggy – not just this issue, but others as well):
In the base.css file, line 11 “p { font-size:14px; font-family:verdana, “Times New Roman”, Times, serif; float:left; },” remove the “float:left;”.
