Dear WPBandit…is it possible to have the “social sharrre” with a scroll option, following up/down the single posts?

wpbandit

Not possible at this time, but good suggestion. Will look into it for the next update!

Excellent work! Good luck with sales!

As mentioned above, a social share box that scrolls up and down with the content would be a great addition. Something like http://www.zdnet.com/google-glass-expect-widespread-usage-bans-over-privacy-concerns-7000012400/

Great theme.

I would also need an “author review system” in order to purchase.

Something like this http://i.imgur.com/aF3pJnj.jpg

Maybe there is a good plugin? not sure

wpbandit

Thanks for the example screenshot there and feedback. I looked around a bit but couldn’t find any decent plugin for it (although I didn’t dig in deep). As I said to the other person requesting this, we are looking into it for the next update.

Some follow-up questions on what you call “author review system”.

1. Would a shortcode for score bars / score summary work? That could be placed anywhere in the content of an article or page – example code (with backend shortcode editor):

[review scale="10" summary="A summary that appears below final average score"]
[category title="Graphics" score="8"]Optional description[/category]
[category title="Sound" score="6"]Optional description[/category]
[category title="Story" score="9"]Optional description[/category]
[/review]

2. or: Are we talking about more advanced integration, backend options, custom post type?

Trying to get a more clear picture of what type of “review system” you guys are looking for.

Default-user

The ones I have used are done with custom post types. They have…

1. Unlimited rating criterias (score bars)

2. Rating type: numbers, percent, stars, etc

3. A spot for a small review summary

4. The ability to choose placement: span top of article, top left, top right, span bottom of article.

5. Review box title

Example backend: http://i.imgur.com/sQEK1PR.jpg

A few themes here have good ones if you want me to list some links let me know. Thanks for looking into this.

wpbandit

Perfect, now a more clear picture emerges what is needed – thanks for taking time to answer it. I’ve copied this comment over to our dev to-do – we will be looking into this. You don’t need to list any themes, as that image there clears up all my questions :)

Thank you, I’d also like to add that some review systems use “Google Rich Snippets” so that the review rating shows up in google searches.

Not so much a request but would be a nice bonus.

always the same problem, i have send you an admin access by email

wpbandit

Fix has been submitted and is in queue waiting for approval. Issue only appeared for PHP 5.2, and that’s why only a few experienced it.

If you don’t want to wait for the fix, you can easily do it manually by replacing one line, as written in that forum thread.

Hi There,

I just bought this AWESOME theme and gonna use it for one of my very well visited sites! I only need your help a bit to modify some changes.

1. How can I add a background in the table where Name, Details, OrderID and Price stand. I want to make it blue, same as the upper menu. Please your help. My site is a affiliate site and the table needs to be more in te spotlight :)

2. How can I set a background image in the boxed layout so that the image doesn’t scroll with the site and that it fits 100% horizontal and vertical on the screen. On mobile devices and tablets it´s not a necessary but for desktop I would like to have it.

Once again, this theme is what I was looking for for a long time!

Good luck with sales my friend!

Cheers, David

wpbandit
1) Add this to your custom.css (which you need to enable in theme options > general):
thead { background: #0088b2; color: #fff; }

A standard background image which isn’t fixed can be added to the body, under Theme Options > Styling > Body BG.

You may want to add:
body { background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
As well.

For any further questions, please use http://wpbandit.com/forums – thanks! :)

Please Note: I need the blue background only in the row for: Name, Details, OrderID and Price so everything else can stay as it is.

Awsome theme !!! I highly recommend because a great support

Hi just a little problem, when i desactivate share option in pages and articles, my text and images don’t use the full size of the content area because a white block ( where the share icons are if the option is activated ). so what is the code to remove to really disable sharing option for my text in the article uses the full width space. thank you very much.

wpbandit
Try adding this to your custom.css:
.entry-part { padding-right: 0!important; }

For any further support, please use http://wpbandit.com/forums – we try to keep it all in one place.

Nice work! Is it possible to have the classic blog layout on the frontpage? All article in full length (with more tag) under the next?

Best regards

wpbandit

Hey there! There is no standard list-blog view, no – although we’re considering it for future updates.

Dear Friends,

One suggestion: Add the Pinterest and Stumbleupon to the Sharrre.php…please :)

wpbandit

Will look into adding those as additional options in an update. If you want to try adding it yourself for now: http://sharrre.com

Hi! I just purchased your theme and I think it’s just amazing! I used a number of different ones, but this one is just perfect for me, and the admin panel is very clear and easy.

I got just one question – my language doesn’t support some of the fonts in the theme. I got “?” “?” and other weird things in the language. How do I change the font of headline (I mean the name of post on the homepage) and excerpt font from the frontpage?

wpbandit

Hi, glad you like it!

Is it Latin Extended that you need? Open Sans that is used supports a lot of characters: http://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Open+Sans

Try this, in header.php on line 17, you will see:
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com.....
Replace this line with:
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,300italic,400,400italic,600,600italic&subset=latin,latin-ext|Fjalla+One' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

Great Looking theme. Will be buying. Is there a Rating feature (star rating) for this theme???

Thanks

wpbandit

There is not, however I’m sure there are plenty of plugins that adds that functionality.

Great theme. I also bought one of your other themes as well.

I got a question for the featured silder. How can I edit the css to make the height and width crop from the top?

The issue I am having is when the featured images are different height, the slider moves up and down on the homepage and its hard to people to keep their eyes on the content below the featured slider.

wpbandit

Glad you like it! My suggestion would be to always use featured images that are at least or bigger than 720×340px. This will result in slider always cropping to same dimensions, single post headers working and being cropped correctly and so on. The theme isn’t really designed for having images of different heights in the slider, even though it works and does resize.

Cool. Thanks for that info. I edited line 1504 in style.css below:

.flex-viewport { max-height: 2000px; -webkit-transition: all 1s ease; -moz-transition: all 1s ease; transition: all 1s ease; }

to:

.flex-viewport { max-height: 500px; -webkit-transition: all 1s ease; -moz-transition: all 1s ease; transition: all 1s ease; }

This seems to have fixed the height issue on the homepage slider. But I wanted to make sure this edit does not mess anything else up.

Its a extra step considering we are posting 100s of articles a day on our site, to resize every featured image to 720×340. Is there is plugin that can do that? Or do you think the above solution will work, or have another suggestion. And lastly should I be editing the style.css or using custom.css?

wpbandit

As long as the image is big enough (that is, wider than 720px and higher than 340px) it will always be cropped to 720×340. Issues only appear when you upload too small images.

Run the regenerate thumbnails plugin once and it will re-crop images to correct dimensions for older posts.

So do I need to edit the above code, or should I leave it alone?

wpbandit

Up to you, I don’t think your max height change will break anything so it could be left like that.

Hi.

Love the theme!

Is it possible to have a “normal” blog layout for the homepage?

Thanks

wpbandit

Not currently – right now the article listing is as shown on demo. However, we are considering adding an alternative blog list style to the theme in a coming update.

Default-user

I’ll wait for the possible update then. Thanks

wpbandit

Forgot to update you on this: The feature has been added a week ago or so.

Awesome theme! Quick question before I purchase—what are the fonts that are used in the demo? Do they come with the theme? Also, how easy is it to change?

Thanks!

wpbandit

Thanks! Fonts used are:

Open Sans: http://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Open+Sans (300,400, 600)

Fjalla One: http://www.google.com/fonts#UsePlace:use/Collection:Fjalla+One

You just need to change the google font link given in header.php and then edit a line in style.css to change font.

thanks! oh and… TAKE MY MONEY! :)

hi first of all really loved this one best of luck for this awesome work. i am buying this only have one question can we do something like this- the sidebar scrolls till last widget and then stays steady i mean becomes fixed? just like thenextweb dot com? or is there any plugin you know that exist to make it possible?

wpbandit

Glad you like it! Not possible with current functionality, would have to be something to look into for us – not sure if easily doable though (mainly because the site has a footer below the sidebar, it doesn’t end with the sidebar).

I just bough these theme, but cannot install it. It says: The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. What should I I do?

wpbandit

You are uploading theme-package.zip. You need to unzip this package file, which contains the documentation, resources etc. When you open it you will find a typegrid.zip – that is the one to upload.

Sorry for annoying question, but for some reason I cannot find it – which line do I need to change in style.css to change size of the main text in the posts? I think it’s 12px and I want to make it a bit bigger.

wpbandit
The main text in posts is 15px for standard layout (non-mobile), you change it by adding this to custom.css:
.text { font-size: 16px; }

Hello, i use it in 1220px but how can i have that with “rounded” please if it’s possible. Regards

In the /styles/ folder of the theme, just copy over all css from the rounded.css and paste it in 1220.css and it should work right away.
