fantastic work – wondering if the homepage-alternative slider can have text for each of the images, or does it only support displaying the image?
Hi and thanks for the comment and question – the slider used is the nivo slider so you could alter things to show the title attribute set when inserting an image – the authors site has full instructions on how to set this up but of course you may need to alter the loop slightly – I am sure we could offer some pointers if necessary.

Looked good from the preview but not impressed with the setup or framework. This theme needs a lot of work but has potential. I’ll test it out again when update 2 comes out. For $35 I wished I had bought a different theme.

Well I would challenge your remark however your feedback was not constructive in any way at all and you didn’t even list any part you are not happy with, nor have you contacted for support – therefore I can only presume this is a spam message of sorts from someone who doesn’t understand what it is they are looking at.

Nice clean theme. It seems to be a good starting point for what I want. Great typography and colors too. And nice shortcodes.
There are two small issues I have discovered so far that could use adjusting in a future update:
1) The admin bar shows when in the admin back-end, but does not show when editing or viewing a page. It seems the call to the footer (
<?php wp_footer(); ?>) has been left out, which fails to call the admin bar (aka toolbar). Add it to footer.php and it works.2) Widgets are not able to handle
<iframe>as the documentation suggests. I am specifically referring to the contacts page widget and the Google Maps embed code. I’ve not messed around with this much, but if your demo site can handle the iframe code, shouldn’t mine?Thanks!

As for the iframe in the sidebar – yes absolutely yours should handle the iframe just as ours does and it doesn’t make sense why it’s not working?
Could you contact me via my profile page and send me a link and maybe a WP login so that I can look at your code in comparison with what we’re using on the live preview?

Seems like you did the code correct maybe you have a conflict with another plugin (I presume you used the html input not the wysiwyg) – you could try looking at the tabs and slides plugin authors page to see further details on that plugin.

The heading-font ChunkFive does not accept german special characters. Is there a way to get this?
you can go to google fonts and see if there is an option for other characters – if not you can easily swap out the css call for the google font to an alternative that fits your requirements.

I purchased this theme and am having trouble making it appear correctly. I have followed the instructions proceeded to the letter but am still ending up with a page which looks nothing like the example. ( http://9starmedia.com/blog/ )The only thing which was not completely clear was since my wordpress install is installed in the /blog/ subdirectory should I place the .htaccess file in that folder or at the root directory of the site? I am not sure that makes a lot of difference. I emailed you all the details but had not heard anything back… any help you could offer would be excellent.

Hello, Really great theme! The only thing that “I don’t like” is, that it is a little bit difficult to set it up. I am a little bit lost. As a beginner its hard to find the right things.
A “better” admin panel would be great, where you can find everything and set it up. Theme settings, slider settings and all that stuff in one place.
But again, the theme is great!

the admin panel with a million options is really not the way we like to go, it would then prove to be rather constraining – we use the open framework ‘option tree’ which is a great proven framework anyone can build on – plus the fact we give you an xml import to set things up and a very detailed full color, professional documentation with screen shots detailing absolutely every step of installing and setting up – it’s as simple as themes get unfortunately on setup.
We purposely use custom post types for sliders so there are no limitations and greater flexibility also.

I really like option tree, that not the problem. I just mean it would be great to have more options IN option tree.
And one question, you wrote that the logo on the top should be 122×30. Thats pretty small…
You can try larger but you may have to simply alter a few dimensions in the style sheet to accommodate to your specific requirements.

I’m trying to change the ChunkFive text and am trying to work out where exactly in the css file I change the font?
I worked out how to change the body text by specifying an import of a Google webfont and adding it to the css style page about halfway down (I found a bunch of other fonts listed and put my new one at the front).
Could you guide me on where I change the heading in the css?
Pretty new to css and coding so apologies for the back to basics question.
Hi and thank you for your purchase. If you open style.css you can change the @fontface from there. The actual headings are located in colors (blue.css, green.css, red.css) – you can change everything in there.

Hi there! Is it possible to have the call out text that is below the navigation ONLY on the homepage? I would like it to disappear on the interior pages because it takes up a lot of space – but I LOVE it on the homepage! Thanks!
Greetings and I’m so happy you like the theme – You would have to create a specific header file just for the home page and an alternative for the interior pages which is possible but requires modification to quite a few theme files – if you are not proficient in editing php files etc in wordpress you may want to either request a quote from someone more experienced or please contact us via the contact form on our profile page and we can either suggest a coder for you or offer a price for the modification.

Hi! I’m really enjoying setting up my site using this theme – one thing I have a question on…How can I make the blog NOT feed to the homepage? I’d like to make widget 5 span the width instead…I can probably figure that out by editing the code but where can I stop the blog from feeding in?

Hi – the big “most recent” (blog article) is in the div on the template-home.php and the template-homenoslide.php – that is two thirds first – if you remove that loop – that will give you a content area to play with.

Hi – you would use divs rather than shortcodes to use styles in widgets – ie if a shortcode is
[intro] [/intro] you would simply type - <div class="intro"> </div>That should get you going – thanks
