Yes, absolutely, it’s free style so you could add as many as you like..
Adding more fields, is totally up to you, you could tweak the current code to add any field you’d like, it’s really up to you, I’ve just give you guys a base to start with, but you could certainly change it to fit your needs.

So your answer is aboslutely not. But if you know php than you can . But if we knew php why would we need to buy a theme? We would modify the free ones right?

This is NOT PHP but HTML code. Anyhow, the custom layouts that you’re asking is not part of the U-Design theme although easily achievable as I mentioned above if you know some basic HTML (not PHP). If you think this would be too much for you, then perhaps look for another theme that does what you need out of the box..

yes you can, as a matter of fact WPML is one of the translation plugins of choice for U-Design, another free alternative would be qTranslate.

Are you able to add AQUA PAGE BUILDER compatibility to this theme in the next update?

I just checked out this Aquapage builder plugin for WP and it seems or at least that’s the impression I got, is that it should work out of the box with any theme. I have not tested it, I just watched this video here and it seems you should be able to insert a shortcode into a “Full-width” page to get the generated Aquapage layout displayed.

All updates are free. If you got it a few hours ago then you most likely already have the latest version 1.9.0 as it was uploaded to ThemeForest last night (over 12hrs ago). If you have 1.8.0 then you could get the latest from the same place you got it originally, under your “Downloads” tab under your account.

Good Day, I have plans on buying u-design theme and I do love the live preview. I would like to ask if I buy Udesign does the live preview of theme will be the same when I install it on my end? And do I need to install seo plugins?
Hi,
thanks for your interest. When you first install the theme it will not look the same, you’ll get a default look and feel. I do however offer an XML import file which will import some of the demo site content.
As for installing SEO plugin, it’s always a good idea to do that. The theme is built to be SEO friendly structurally and that’s something that SEO plugins cannot give you. But you’ll still need one to further tweak things like meta descriptions, title, xml sitemaps, etc.

I woke up today with the thought “how to integrate Revolution slider into the theme.” Yesterday tried unsuccessfully to do it myself. Went to the support forum to find a possible solution. And what I saw in the first place? The new U-design update with native support of Revolution slider! Guys you’re scaring me! You read my thoughts and needs of my client!

Hi Guys, I really like this template/theme. I would like to know how easy it is for a WP beginner to add 2 more languages to this. Main pages/content/menu items would be in English and client could choose 1 of 3 languages. Cheers.

well, probably the easiest way would be to implement one of those machine translation plugins like GTranslate for WordPress based on Google Translate services, which is getting better and better over time in accuracy of translations. Most people I suppose choose the manual translation which is much more accurate but it requires a bit more work. To set up the latter you’ll need to use a WordPress plugin like WPML, qTranslate or others like them. Although, there is a bit of a learning curve with these plugins, shouldn’t be that bad for a WP beginner.

WOW, thanks for the quick response. The person would have all text translated anyways so Google translate is not what he wants. So with the qTranslate plugin we would be able to translate each menu item and corresponding page content? Do you know if with this plugin we can just have a dropdown at the top of the website to choose/redirect to appropriate page/language. Thanks so much for your quick reply. Cheers, Philip
qTranslate, as far as I know, offers a widget or widgets with a language toggle like that which you could certainly add to where the social icons are in the theme’s demo site. Alternatively, they offer a PHP code snippet to insert anywhere in your site, so I could help you with that if you need it inserted in a harder to reach location through the backend. Yes qTranslate allows you to translate menus and content. There area 4-5 threads already in the forum with instructions on how to implement things a little trickier to setup with the theme.

thanks for your interest. Yes, the Portfolio section of the theme supports 1, 2, 3 and 4 columns layouts, you can see those pages in the demo site, and also you could add description/text to each one of these portfolio layouts to each item individually. I am not showing the descriptions in all variations in the demo site but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have it, I just wanted to show different configurations, it’s impossible to setup a demo site and be able to show all possibilities in some cases, so, I’m glad you asked

Also, regarding the portfolio, can you click into a portfolio item to another page which is created as a portfolio page? From what I can see already, the portfolio images only open to a larger version of the image. I hope I am making sense
Good question. Yes, you can, you can set, using a custom field, a link and even the “target” attribute of that link whether you want it to open in a new window or not, you could link to any page and external sites.

awesome! Also how many widget areas are available. Im looking to integrate WHMCS into the site and wanting to have a sidebar so i can have just WHMCS widgets instead of the blog or contact side bar etc.

I’ve looked through many examples, and havent seen any with this specific functionality: Is there an option to put posts on the main page? Not links to the blog posts, but add the actual posts, blog style?

thanks for your interest. Yes, you could assign your Blog page to be on your home page thus you could have the posts listed on the home page in blog fashion. Or are you referring to have a Single Post View page as home page??

However, there would also need to be a second blog with other selected posts.
Yes, the theme offers a unique widget “U-Design: Recent Posts” widget which allows you to select posts to be displayed from a selected Category. Here’s some info on it from the forum HERE

Hi, I would like to use this theme as a catalog. I dont want any shopping cart option. All I need is to get on the front page the newest item in store. around 10 items that would be displayed in 2 rows of 5 items, and I would have a link to show the rest of them on the bottom. I have created posts in a “new items” category. I have added a text widget in the front page and now they are dispalying in the front page but in one column on the left side and a link for details on the opposide side.
