I can’t seem to access the forum and have an urgent question. how do I remove the border line between the slider and the area “home page before content area”? I found the option under “general” to remove it between the menu and the slider, but there’s no option for between the slider and the home page content area.

I noticed that all the websites using this theme, has no ads on it . Is this theme compatible with good ads and other PPC sites ?

if you’re referring to the sites displayed in the “Showcase” in the theme’s demos site, that’s only a very tiny fraction of all the sites using this theme 20,000+, and it’s just a coincident that none of them happened to have any ads, not every business likes to put ads on their sites. Anyhow, I’m not aware of any issues with ads plugins and the theme, however with 22K+ WordPress plugins out there it’s hard to guarantee compatibility with all of them…

I was reading some of the questions .. and im a little confused.
The REGULAR License – is used to install on only 1 website .
What can i use if i want to install this theme on a second or third website ? Is that the EXTENDED Version ?
If not What is the EXTENDED Version used for ?
And if there is no option to use this theme on more than one site , then i guess that mean i would have to purchase the theme each time i want to make a new website ?

Can you change the background? Like in the back of the main site upload your own back ground? Also can you put a video in the slider like on avada

yes, you can upload background image on per section basis or one large background spanning across all sections, it’s up to you.
Some of the theme’s sliders allow for video to be added, but if you want exactly the same slider as the one used in avada, it’s available on CodeCanyon here: http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-wp-the-wordpress-parallax-slider/1362246 and you should be able to implement it with “U-Design” theme.

Hi i just Purchased the U-Design theme and downloaded it. I went to upload it and found the file in my documents. Clicked install now but there seem to be a problem in installing the theme, its says “The Package could not be installed. The Theme is missing the style.css stylesheet, Theme install failed” what do i do can you help me solve this problem?

Thank you for choosing my theme!
Whenever you see that missing style sheet message it means you’re attempting to install the wrong file and WordPress doesn’t recognize it as a theme file. You were supposed to unzip the initial zip file you downloaded after purchase onto your hard drive and then inside you would find Documentation and another zip file called ‘u-design.zip’ which is the actual theme. Please refer to the Documentation for installation instructions.
If you end up doing the FTP method to install the theme then make sure the directory path to the theme files look like this:Here’s also a video on how to install ThemeForest themes:

Hi Olli,
yes, I have many people that implemented boxed layout with the theme. You will achieve that look with background images, I have a thread in the support forum for it, once you purchase the theme and sign up in the support forum, post your question there and I’ll give you further instructions.

I am sorry, a simple yes or no would have been fine. With almost 100 pages of comments and no search feature for comments you can’t expect us to go through all that surely?!
What resolution do the pictures have to be on the Home back Slide ? Everything i put does not look as sharp as the one in the demos ?

I love this theme, and have been using it for over a year…
I installed the free version of WP Touch. The plugin failed to convert my site to the WP Touch mobile theme. All it did was remove all the h1, h2, etc. that are being converted by Google fonts.
Is there a WordPress plugin that you can recommend that will properly override the Udesign theme when viewing my site on a mobile device?

Hi! Is it easy to have multiple languages with this theme? Like 3 different index/home pages that have different language everywhere? So, instead of having “Read this in Spanish” on every page, which I now have with my website… I would like them to click a flag or whatever and the WHOLE page will directly be only spanish.

Yes, this theme is fully internationalized, which means you have have it translated it multiple languages. You will need to use a plugin to facilitate the actual language switching.

Thanks for that answer but is the plugin an auto translator or can I control and put in my own text on the other languages? There are some things that auto translators like google translate and plugins can’t understand or translate correct so I really want to be in control and put my own text. Still possible?
you can have plugins that can do either, automatic translation or manual.
I was referring to the manual translation ones…
WPML , qTranslate, Polylang plugins.

I’m a long time user of this theme and as per current business need I’m requesting you make it mobile device theme for this in next update, so if any user open it from there mobile, it will show mobile the of this site. Its really needed in current smart phone war.

There are plugins like “WPTouch” that will give you a mobile version of any WordPress theme/site, so if that was of your concern there’s always a way around it.
