also, I sent over an email but in the meantime I will just reply here…
A few more ?’s to get this site wrapped up…
Where/How can I change the menu font.
Also, I would like to condense the header area. I figured out how to adjust the space above the logo and nav but not betweent he logo and slider…
Would also like to adjust/minimize the padding around the testimonials slider.
Thanks
Hey again Jeremy… I just replied to your email. All of the above can be found and edited in stylesheets/layout.css.
Just do a search within the file to find the ID or Class you would like to edit.
yeah that was the first place I was looking and no luck… I found it though… editing line 27 in skeleton.css and that adjust margin adjusted the space around the main and tesimonial slider so I am good there now ;o)
Loving the theme so far,
One question though … how do I remove the tagline from the theme so it doesn’t display on the screen ; I would still like it to appear in the code so it can be used for SEO purposes … thanks in advance
Hey there… glad to hear you love the theme!
To remove the tagline set this style in the CSS header h6.subtitle {display:none;}
Hi, I have purchased this theme and have removed the background to be just white. I was wondering where I would go to to edit all of the dark brown/black parts ie bar below portfolio items? Thanks
Sure… You can edit the styles in the “stylesheets” directory… layout.css and base.css are the ones you’ll need.
I do really like the textures within the theme, but not the brown, is it possible to disable the colour but keep the texture?
Sure, you can edit the background tiles in the images directory. They are named “page-bg-1.jpg” through 5.
Open them in Photoshop and desaturate, and then you could lighten them up with a levels adjustment.
Lastly, the style.css only includes a small description of the author details and such, where can i edit the css of the entire website???? where all the php are calling from?
Thanks so much
There is a directory called “stylesheets”... You’ll find all of the css files there.
Lifesaver, all making sense now thanks!!!!
Thanks for you support yesterday with the tagline issue. Just had a strange thing happen while working on my site. for some reason the spacing between all the block text (titles, columns, etc) has shrunk on my site. It looks as though there is no spacing between the text. The normal unformatted (paragraph) text seems fine. Is this anything you have seen before … thx
Sounds like something happened to the CSS somewhere. It might have been an accidental edit.
I would first make sure that the link to the skeleton.css file is intact, since it handles a lot of the spacing. If the issue persists, I would revert back to a previously saved version of the css files, or reinstall the original CSS files.
just wondering where I would find the link to the skeleton.css file?
It’s in the header.php… file near the top.
I looked into the skeleton link and it is linked properly. I am considering replacing the css files via FTP but wanted to ask you which ones need to be replaced. Is it only the files inside the folder named “stylesheets” or are there other files somewhere else? The only change I have made to the css was the one line of code which I added to the style.css file to remove the tagline. The only other thing I could think of was that I added a large font pack to my computer today. I have heard before that Google fonts can have issues with this?
Thanks for your help (maybe you could take a look at my site to see if it looks the same on your machine) http://www.ferniewebdesign.com (the SEO page is particularly bad)
I think you should test this out on another computer… I just took a look at the SEO page, and it all looks fine to me. Test it out before replacing any files.
If you do have to replace the CSS files, it would just be the ones in the “stylesheet” directory.
good morning …. i checked out the website on 2 other computers and it seems the spacing is affected on those computers as well. Another issue is that Google fonts is not rendering the fonts properly on one of the machines. I replaced the “stylesheets” files and did not see a change. How would I go about changing the font used for the headings to see if this helps with the spacing issue?
Hmmm… That is strange. It looks fine to me, in FF on Mac. You can change the fonts from “stylesheets/layout.css”
Hi, I was just wondering if it was possible to add an image in the header to sit behind content? I have had a look at some plugins but they arnt compatible with the theme?
You could add an image background to the header, but it would have to be done from the layout.css file. The admin panel doesn’t have that option.
Hi again – I see in the contact template that the form gets sent to the WP admin as a default. How can I send the form to another email address besides the WP admin?
The form sends to the WP admin by default… If you want to change the email address it sends to you can edit the template and place a new email in manually.
Love this theme! Is it possible to upload a larger logo image? Thanks very much.
Sure… The admin recommends a height, but you don’t have to abide by that recommendation.
Got it – thanks!
Good evening,
I was wondering if it is possible to have 3 different sized logos for the 3 different responsive designs that are available for this theme. If so, where do you make the code changes for this ??
thx
Yes… That’s possible. But it will involve editing some code. Take a look at where the logo image is located in header.php. Also take a look at the media queries at the bottom of layout.css to see how styles change based on screen width.
Apologies if this has already been answered, but how do I reorder portfolio items in a gallery?
Just change the publish date for each project post in the admin, and click “update”
Hey, thanks so much for the great theme! I’ve been really happy working with it.
Question… (sorry if you’ve already answered, but I didn’t find it). I have set a featured image but it keeps wanting to pull the image from the post as well. Is there a way to set it so only the featured image shows up and not the one embedded in the post?
Eg. http://khomuz.com/portfolio/mad-rollin-dolls-they-came-from-space/
Thanks for the info!
Hi there… I’m a little unclear on what’s happening. But hopefully this will help… The description is going to display next to the featured image, so anything you have in the description is going to show up (including images). My only recommendation would be not to place an image in the description if you do not want it to appear.
Hi Nathan,
First of all thanks for the great theme, but there is a little problem. I’m getting a error when I add a new project type. The project type that I want to add is Social media. But if I use that name I’m getting the following error:
When I add a new project type with the name Socialmedia there is no error, but since the right spelling is social media with a space in between that’s the format that the client want to use. So I guess the problem is with the space. Could you fix this problem or have you any idea how to fix this?
Thanks!
Martijn
Hi Martijn, Let me look into this issue today, and I’ll get back to you with a solution shortly.
Hi again Martijn, I’ve found a good solution to this issue. You can check out the demo to see a working example. I’ll be emailing you replacement files in a few minutes. I’ll also be posting and update to the theme here, if anyone else is interested.
Thanks Martijn for the heads up on this issue.
Hello – thanks again for this great theme and your responsiveness!
On the “Gallery Only” page, is it possible to display a grid of 12 portfolio items, (instead of eight)?
Hi Noah, Sure… In the template on line 21, change:
‘posts_per_page’ => 8
to
‘posts_per_page’ => 12
Hi Nathan!! kalimera from Greece, i ve been going crazy to change a css style, on the layout.css , i cant find the class for the submenu, when you click on portfolio, you have the thumbs that open in 2, 3, 4 columns, but there on the left you have a Sub-menu to sort them out e.g.. Hey!!! Oscar again here…. Finally found it on the base.css on Basic Stlyles….:) ...thanxxx…
Hi Oscar… I’m glad you were able to figure it out.

Hi Nathan, I have been looking everywhere as to how to change the colour of the tag buttons within the portfolio/gallery, but I can’t seem to find it in the css. Can you please point me in the right direction?
Look for ”#filterOptions li a” in stylesheets/layout.css… It should be around line 680.
