Really clean and trendy but ( yes a little but ) I miss a lightbox effect in the gallery… only to be perfect. I think so…

Good sales room122 !

GraphicMonkee

Hi elcodigodebarras… There was a small bug in the lightbox effect. It’s fixed now… No need to miss it anymore. :-)

Nice design only don’t like that menu disappears from other pages and only have to guess what to press to get back to the menu

GraphicMonkee

That’s good feedback allexdesign… I was thinking since the page doesn’t include a ton of content that the menu didn’t need to “stick” at the top, but it’s definitely something to consider as an optional feature.

Hi Room122. Nice, bought it!

How can i change the grey background? cant find it in the layout.css and can the images in the portfolio appear bigger if you click on it?

Thanks

GraphicMonkee

Hi Martijn, You can change the gray background from base.css… the settings for the body are near the top.

Also, the gallery section uses a lightbox to display the images at larger size on click. The initial release of the template had a bug in the lightbox code preventing it from opening. If you bought the template on the first day of release, download the files again to make sure you have the latest version.

Hi Room122,

The light box is opening, but i want this to appear bigger then now. In wich file i have to change this?

Thanks

GraphicMonkee

Oh sure… Just use a larger full size version of the image. The lightbox will adjust to fit the size of the screen, if needed.

Hi Room112,

Its me again.. I want to add multiple images for 1 portfolio item, how can i do this? change the gallery id?

Thanks

GraphicMonkee

Sure… Just add the images as attachments to the portfolio post. They’ll show up in the slideshow in the light box and the portfolio item details page.

I tried to do this with the code, but this messed up the front gallery. What is the specific html code for an attachment?

Hello.. super new to using HTML format for my website. After changing the gallery id in the portfolio section, where or how do I add my next images to display in that specific gallery?

  • <!-Link to Full Size Image-> <ahref=”images/AAA_Pics/LA_BarbWire.jpg” class=”portfolio-thumb” data-rel=”prettyPhoto[gallery1]”> <!-Thumb Image->
  • Any help would be highly appreciated

GraphicMonkee

Hi motionone… Are you trying to create two galleries, or are you trying to add additional images to the existing gallery?

If it’s the latter… simply copy and paste from

  • to
  • and paste it before the closing and it will add a new item to the gallery.

    Hope that helps!

    Yes I like how the template is already set up. What i wanted to do is have multiple images withing each thumbnail. In example my first thumbnail would only display a camera image for the pic, and when clicked my photography images would appear and the same when the user clicks on the paintbrush thumbnail.

    GraphicMonkee

    You want to add more than one photo to an item. Basically one thumbnail representing multiple images, correct?

    To do this you’ll need to add the additional photos into a list that is hidden from browser view via CSS. Then make sure the data-rel attribute for all of the images matches. For example: rel=”prettyPhoto[img_set_1]”

    Now when you click the thumbnail you’ll see all of the images with the matching data-rel attribute.

    Hi room122,

    I created for every tumb nail a gallery, so each tumbnail is a gallery. How can i easily add images to the gallery? If i use this code a href=”images/portfolio/portfolio-full1.jpg” rel=”prettyPhoto[gallery1]” and past it beneath the first a href code of the portfolio section, the tumnails on the website getting messed up. Is there another way to do this? Thanks

    GraphicMonkee

    Can you send me a link so that I can see your code?

    GraphicMonkee

    Give this a shot, and let me know if it works for you.

    <!--Portfolio Item-->
    <li class="four columns">
    <!--Link to Full Size Image-->
    <a href="images/portfolio/portfolio-full1.jpg" class="portfolio-thumb" data-rel="prettyPhoto[img_set_1]">
    <span class="thumb-zoom" />
    <span class="thumb-screen" />
    <!--Thumb Image-->
    <img src="images/portfolio/portfolio-thumb1.jpg" alt="Portfolio 1" /></a>
    <!-- Extra image to appear in lightbox for this portfolio item--->
    <ul class="hide-this-set">
    <li><a href="images/portfolio/portfolio-img-1.jpg" data-rel="prettyPhoto[img_set_1]">Img 1</a></li>
    <li><a href="images/portfolio/portfolio-img-2.jpg" data-rel="prettyPhoto[img_set_1]">Img 2</a></li>
    <li><a href="images/portfolio/portfolio-img-3.jpg" data-rel="prettyPhoto[img_set_1]">Img 3</a></li>
    </ul>
    </li>

    In your CSS file make sure you hide that secondary list with something like…

    .hide-this-set {display:none;}

    Let me know if you’re able to get this worked out.

    HI, it didn’t work, see the links below; when insert the code, it looks like this; http://workincreative.com/front.png code ; http://workincreative.com/code2.png
    GraphicMonkee

    Are the image paths and names correct? You’ll need to change those file names to match your own images. Also, did you set the CSS class to hide the extra images?

    Do you have these files on the web somewhere?

    Default-user

    HI, I forgot to do the css thing, it was already late. I will do this today and i will let you know!

    Default-user

    HI, I did work, but in the front the tumbnail looks not good in the front,

    Index; http://workincreative.com/index.png CSS; http://workincreative.com/css.png I think i misplaced the .hide-this-set {display:none;} code, what do you think? Front; http://workincreative.com/front.png

    Thank you

    GraphicMonkee

    Hi again… It would be really helpful if I could troubleshoot this online for you, versus looking at screenshots of your code. Would it be possible for you to upload these files to the web and send me a URL to view them?

    Default-user

    hi, yes ofcourse.. just go to frenchdut.ch

    Default-user

    Hi Room122,

    Go to http://workincreative.com/website/ Here is the website located! Thanks

    GraphicMonkee

    Okay it looks like you’ve removed the closings for the span tags for the thumb-zoom and thumb-screen spans.

    You need to add a closing span to the end of each of those tags.

    Hello. Just wondering about the regular license vs. extended license, and the Resale aspect. If I buy this template as a web designer, and adapt it for a client, which license would I need? Thanks.

    GraphicMonkee

    It sounds like a regular license would do, but you can check here to b certain: http://themeforest.net/licenses/regular_extended

    Hey room122, Thank you for such a awesome template, it is very nice to work with! May you sell even more of them this year!

    I just want to be helpful to anybody who is having trouble with the lightbox, and for the record it’s not your fault room122.

    Jquery.com just came out with Version 1.9.0 yesterday and there are bugs, well I think they are doing away with some of the codes, I’m not really sure though, just what I read, I am not a JS expert by the way, I just problem solve best I can, my strengths are design, HTML 4/5 and CSS 2/3.

    Here is the solution: change the Script in your header from “jquery-latest.js” to “jquery-1.8.3.js”, Basically go back one, latest just updates it to the latest, which is again 1.9.0 right now. Hopefully we can use the latest when the bugs are fix.

    God bless you guys!

    GraphicMonkee

    Hey Robert… Thanks for the heads up. I’ll make this adjustment and release an update later this week.

    Hi Room122.

    The image box isn’t loading, instead the portfolio item takes you straight to the image directory were the image is located, see new.workincreative.com

    Can we fix this?

    Thanks

    GraphicMonkee

    This is caused by a recent jQuery update. In the header replace the link to jquery-latest.js to jquery-1.8.3.js.

    That’ll fix the issue.

    Hello Room122.. would appreciate some help. When I use the code above u gave an example to, I get =”prettyPhoto[img_set_1]”>Img 3

    the ’>Img3 showing under my thumbnails and it also distorts the thumbnail placement. Im trying to follow your instructions. Is there something im missing or doing wrong. I also added the .hide-this-set {display:none;} to the layout Css portion ? Im lost!

    GraphicMonkee

    Sure… Can you email me a link to view the page?

    Hey, I just bought your item. It’s very good but I am not happy with the submit form. Please can you fix this? I need it fixed really or a refund?

    If you leave the fields blank – even though you have put (optional) next to website. Everything is optional!! This is not good enough, it needs to alert the user if they missed a filed and also check that a proper email was entered as in for checking for ”....”@.”com/net etc”.

    Also hitting the send button reloads the webpage which is awful and the thank you for sending message doesn’t disappear after a short time.

    I have never seen a contact form work so poorly and come on it’s 2013!! I hope you can fix this file quite quickly or I will just sack it off to help desk.

    Thanks

    GraphicMonkee

    Hi Elliot, I’d be happy to update the contact form to something more modern. Give me a couple of days to do so.

    Also, I do my best to help everyone one out who has issues or concerns with my products. I realize that it is 2013 and a simple “Hey can you help me to improve this feature” would have gotten my attention and warranted my help.

    Best, Nathan

    First off, let me just say thank you Nathan for this beautiful design. I think you are a very good designer and you have a lot of talent. Its developers like you who inspire designers like me in this industry. Unfortunately, not everybody is appreciative, and people can be rather rude sometimes. Keep doing your thing, don’t let anyone keep you down. God bless.

    Hey room122, did figure out the positioning issue with motionone? I seem to be experiencing a similar issue.

    GraphicMonkee

    Hi ckitahara … Refresh my memory. What it motionone? And what was the issue?

    Default-user
    ckitahara Purchased

    Hey room122, motionone was a user who had a question. I’ve since resolved that issue. I could however use some help placing titles on my galleries and captions on my images.

    I’m using thumbnails to call their own gallery of images. The first image has a title that appears above the lightbox which is pulled from the Thumb Image alt tag. As for the rest of the images in the gallery, they do not receive a title let alone a caption.

    Please let me know if you are having trouble recreating this issue and I’ll send you a link to the work in progress.

    Thanks, ck

    Go ahead and send me a link, and I’ll take a look.
