Hello Cepreu, there is a bug on IE7 , background under “sorry we are…” is not showing, could you check this please? I would really like to buy it but first this need to be fixed. Otherwise it is a awesome work, congratultions ;) Kind regards Tomek

Cepreu

Hi Tomek. I’m sorry for that. It’s due to minified CSS demo files. If you buy the item, there are normal, non-minified CSS files in the package.

Anyway, I fixed the demo, it should be ok right now. Please take a look at it.

And thank you for your kind words. :)

smtp and smtp port are defined in php.ini file. Also…simple php mail function works.

Cepreu

Hi pallermo! Thank you for buying.

Did you make changes in newsletter & contact php scripts? You need to make changes in the $valid_referers array and specify your site address. Please read documentation.

If you already did that, please send me a message via Themeforest contact form with the link to your site. I’ll try to look into it.

Awesome item! Is there any way to remove #2 and #3? Or basically not have any mailing items and just the main page?

Thanks!

-Jeff

Cepreu

Hi Jeff. Thank you. It’s a bit hard to remove that. The easiest way to have just the main page is to hide the navigation (arrows and tabs navs).

To do so, open stylesheet.css (HTML template) or style.css (if you’re using Wordpress theme) and do the following:

1. Disabling arrows nav.
a) Find this fragment of code (CODA SLIDER section) –

.coda-nav-left a {
    background: url('images/bg-left-arrow.gif') no-repeat 60% 0;
}
.coda-nav-right a {
    background: url('images/bg-right-arrow.gif') no-repeat 40% 0;
}
b) Add ‘display: none’ property. Like this -
.coda-nav-left a {
    background: url('images/bg-left-arrow.gif') no-repeat 60% 0;
    display: none;
}
.coda-nav-right a {
    background: url('images/bg-right-arrow.gif') no-repeat 40% 0;
    display: none;
}

2. Disabling tabs nav.
a) Find this fragment of code (CODA SLIDER section) -

.coda-nav ul li a {
    background: url('images/bg-nav.gif') no-repeat;
    display: block;
    float: left;
    height: 30px;
    margin: 5px;
    text-decoration: none;
    width: 20px;
}
b) Change display property from ‘block’ to ‘none’. Like this -
.coda-nav ul li a {
    background: url('images/bg-nav.gif') no-repeat;
    display: none;
    float: left;
    height: 30px;
    margin: 5px;
    text-decoration: none;
    width: 20px;
}

3. Now we need to fix height.
a) Find this fragment of code (CODA SLIDER section) -

.coda-nav ul {
    clear: both;
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow: hidden;
}
b) Add ‘height’ property. Like this -
.coda-nav ul {
    clear: both;
    height: 40px;
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow: hidden;
}

That’s all. If someday you’ll need the #2 and #3 just undo the changes.

If you need more detailed explanation just send me a message via Themeforest email form. I’ll be glad to help you. I also can send you already edited stylesheet. ;)

Is there a way to add buttons to social media profiles?

Cepreu

Yes, you can add these buttons manually with the little knowledge of HTML /CSS.

Hi! First of all, let me say that I really like this under construction template , especially the Wordpress version of it. Really smooth, the Jquery effects make everything really stand out.

But, talking about the WP version, I’m having trouble with some slashes when I write texts with apostrophes or quotes. It really gets painful when I post a link and slashes appears in it ( I personally added another section for a little description about myself and I need a lot of text and links ). I’ve read that it’s a common issue for WP and I’ve read some of the possible solutions but still I haven’t found a way to solve it ( I’m not a coder, totally not).

Would you please help me out with this?

Thank you very much for your time / attention.

Greetings Marco

Cepreu

Hi Marco. Thank you for buying and your kind words. Yes, it’s a common issue. Please read this article, it’ll help you understand what’s going on – Why are the Quote Marks escaped or not escaped? So, to solve this you should use stripslashes() PHP function.

For example –
This\'s your text with \'apostrophes\', \"quotes\" and backslashes which need to be removed.
Change it this way -
<?php $str = "This\'s your text with \'apostrophes\', \"quotes\" and backslashes which need to be removed .";
echo stripslashes($str); ?>

I understand that it can be a bit difficult, especially if you’re not coder. So maybe it would be better if you can send me an email (via Themeforest contact form on my profile page!) with the link to your website and login details to your Wordpress admin panel. I’ll look into it and try to help.

Hi again. Thank you for your answer. I’ll read that article you’ve linked, but I dunno if I’ll be able to solve it, because I’ve already read something around the ‘net and still I haven’t understand how to do it.

The solution you wrote opened a road for me but the problems are:

- The backslashes appear even when I write link. Every time I write any kind of link it puts the backslashes in. For instance, I write in the textarea

And you can read my detailed profile at this adress <a href="www.sample-domain.it"> "Some text" </a> and in the front end the link appears like that \”Some text” and when I click on it the adress results this www.mysite.it/\www.sample-domain.it

It reads it as a link on my domain. How can I solve it for ALL the links I might add via textarea?

That’s the major issue I need to solve before putting everything online. Getting rid of the backslashes from the apostrophes and quotes has a lowest priority.

- I dunno if I got right the solution you wrote, I have to basically filter all the text that contains apostrophes or quotes to make the textarea stripping the slashes? Right? The issue is that I dunno what kind of text I’m gonna put in, because I’m still in the developing phase.

So I don’t have any FTP access or Wordpress admin access until now, it’s all on my computer.

I hope you can solve my problem like that, otherwise I’ll force up the time and I’ll put online everything so you can solve it.

Thank you very much.

Marco

Cepreu

Hi,

Since I can’t see what exactly modification\customization you did, it’s a bit hard to explain everything properly.

All the information (plain text, links etc., which have apostrophe and\or quote symbols) stores in the Wordpress database with backslashes before these symbols. There’s a reason for that.

And the answer to this your question –
I have to basically filter all the text that contains apostrophes or quotes to make the textarea stripping the slashes? Right?
is yes, you right. You need to filter the information, using stripslashes() PHP function, to display it on your website properly (without backslashes). You need to do it once.

For example, we have a textarea backend field with the id id_textarea.

1) To display the info from this textarea field on a Wordpress page we use the following code -
&lt;?php echo get_option('id_ textarea'); ?&gt;

2) Let’s put something in this textarea field (let it be the text with link from your example above) –
And you can read my detailed profile at this adress <a href="www.sample-domain.it">"Some text"</a>

3) Now when we look at our Wordpress page we will get exactly the same result as you had above in your example, with all these backslashes. So we need to get back to 1 and correct our code (or simply use stripslashes() function) like that –
&lt;?php echo stripslashes(get_option('id_textarea')); ?&gt;
or
&lt;?php $string = get_option('id_textarea'); echo stripslashes($string); ?&gt;

That’s all. Now any text, links etc., from our textarea field will be corrected automatically.

Don’t worry about this problem. It’s not as big as it seems. If you’ll not be able to solve this on your local computer with this my explanation just made the online version. I’ll help you to fix that then. It’d be a lot faster, because I’m not so good at explaining such complicated stuff in my second language (English) which I’m still learning. :)

Or there is another way I came up how to help you. Just make an archive with the whole theme with all your modification/customization (*.zip or *.rar doesn’t matter) and send me via contact form. I’ll install it on my Wordpress test server and then will be able to see the way how exactly it can be fixed.

ps/ Envato have a problem with < > symbols and < pre > tags, so if you’re going to use the code above, change

Hi, I’ve purchased your template. Looks great. however, when I change the countdown date, it does not work at all. For example, when i change the date to 2010, 9-15, the display becomes 0 Days, 0 Hours, 00 Minutes, 00 Seconds. May you help?

Cepreu

Hi and thanks for the purchase!

You should enter new date in the following format –
year, month number - 1, day, hours, minutes
Like that –
2010, 9-1, 15, 0, 0
