I want to buy this theme as soon as possible. As I’m most importantly interested in the JomSocial 3.x integration, If I buy it now (before the ‘Tuesday update’) will I be able to re-download the theme as soon as it’s updated/ released in its new version?

If yes, will I be able to just install it over the ‘old’ version?

Thanks for your interest.

Yes you’ll be able to re-download to get the update.

In regards to installation, the current Jomsocial template version is 2.8 so I’m not sure it will work with 3.0 but some buyers have told me it does. In the case of an update, you’ll just need to delete the old Jomsocial template and install the new one.

Wow! Now THAT’S what I call top support! As soon as the template was updated, I comfortably received an update email from the author, along with a link, etc.

Anyway, the new template is gorgeous on JomSocial 3 – Congratulations! There are a few ‘glitches’ here and there with the user thumbnails, but that can be fixed.

The biggest glitch I encountered on the JS 3 template is just the Frontpage for logged in users – It simply won’t load at all (it’s just blank, along with just the fields of the Event fields). The rest of the JS pages load properly). As soon as I switch back to JS default template, problem is solved. So please check on what what might be causing this problem and then we’ve got an almost perfect template!

The template does not include Jomsocial extension. We only include the template styles. You need to purchase Jomsocial component separately on their site.

Once you purchase and install the uneedo template, your site will look like so http://demo.arrowthemes.com/joomla/uneedo/jomsocial

Hi, a really great template. But the shortcuts do noch work with Joomla 3.1 and Jomsocial 3.1. What could be wrong?

Our demo is running on Joomla 3.1 and we haven’t run into a problem with the shortcodes demo.arrowthemes.com/joomla/uneedo

rokcandy also requires system cache plugin to be the last one for the shortcodes to work correctly. http://j.mp/GNGlO5

After FORCING myself to update from JomSocial 3.1.0 to 3.1.0.4 due to its BIG security flaw, the Uneedo template stopped working with it! Well, at least, one is not able to visit his own profile or certain settings pages. I verified this by downgrading back to JomSocial 3.1.0 and Uneedo once again worked just fine.

So, I would kindly like to ask you to check into the specific problem AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and find a solution, because version 3.1.0.4 of JomSocial is a MUST – My website got hacked/ compromized while being in JomSocial 3.1.0 !

To upgrade uneedo Jomsocial template to the latest version, do the following:

1) Take a backup of components/com_community/templates/uneedo 2) Install the latest version of Jomsocial 3) Replace all contents of components/com_community/templates/uneedo with all contents of components/com_community/templates/default 4) Copy uneedo/css/style.css from your backup uneedo jomsocial template and replace it with components/com_community/templates/uneedo/css/style.css

I have posted the issue on arrowthemes.com forum as well.

If your ‘solution’ to the problem I stated above is to update to Uneedo’s latest version, 1.1.1 (18-06-2013), then I’m afraid that there’s no solution ATM. I’ve been having ‘the latest’ version of Uneedo (1.1.1) for the past 3-4 months.

So, in other words, the latest version of Uneedo (1.1.1) is incompatible with the profile-pages of the latest version of JomSocial (3.1.0.4) . PLEASE check the issue next time before posting a ‘standard’ reply.

I have a website with thousands of members and THERE’S NO TIME TO WASTE! I have to find a solution for it NOW!

Dennis, I know the agony of going through a hacked site – trust me. It’s happened to me this week on my Uneedo demo server even after I applied the patch they (jomsocial) had initially suggested on their site; So in all due respect – I’m not wasting your (or anyone else’s) time.

All I’m trying to do is offer a solution to get you going – and if that solution doesn’t work I’ll still try and assist as much as I can. So if you’ve got any issues kindly post in the forums and I’ll respond.

I am sorry for being a bit aggressive. I’ve been having a very hard time these past days. And yes, a hacked website is a big burden and sometimes a complex problem to overcome and of course I shouldn’t take it all out on you. After all, usually the bigger problems originate from JomSocial itself (or its development team).

1) We need to have bought Jomsocial component separately from jomsocial.com, right ? I have already bought it.

2) Instead this pink version, can I swap into the blue/green one from theme options in joomla admin, right ?

3) Does the theme come with sample quickstart data, so I can install it at once and get the same look as your demo. ?
