Great work! But I have a question, how can I fix a bug with the sliding submenus If to put a link it’s not working

Hi,

do you have an example somewhere online? If you put a link into 1st menu level it’s working OK. You just have to setup class=”active” in LI if you wish to have it opened.

Thanks. Martin

Hi Martin, Try to put submenus in the menu. It will be real address links http://site.com/example In the your submenus not possible to use further link.

Hi,

I see what’s the problem now. We have fixed that issue in the meantime but haven’t published new files on themeforest :)

I have done it now, please wait a couple of hours and download a fresh copy.

Thanks. Martin

Hi,

you mean links in the left hand side menu? That has been fixed and published. Or are you having some other issue?

Thanks. Martin

This look amazing. The icons, shading, tables all blend so well. Not a big fan of the gradient on the left but the rest is awesome.

Is the fix for the non-working navigation links something simple? I have already implemented the layout and converted it into my custom CMS layout code so it would be a pain to re-download and re-install. Can you tell me specifically what files need to be update in order to get the links to work?

Hi, having some problem with the datatable. I keep getting this javascript alert saying It got 6 TD’s and exected 7. I went thru the code and counted all the td’s and th’s. I can’t find what the problem is. If I copy the original code it works. But when I delete one th and one td it fails.

Hi all,

As we are constantly increasing number of items and our sales, we have decided to launch a discussion forum for all Themeforest stuff we have :)

There are several reasons we have decided to do it:

1. Themeforest discussions are not searchable and many of you are asking again and again the same questions.

2. A lot of people are contacting us via email and therefore nobody else can see answers to their questions.

So if you’d like to ask something or discuss, feel free to do it on: http://www.ait.sk/support

Thanks. Martin

Issue where sidebar doesn’t extend if the browser window is larger than the content can be fixed by modifying lines 1 and 2 of css/screen.css to the following:

html { background: url('../images/main.gif') top left #EEEEEE; height:100%} body { background: url('../images/sidebar.gif') top left repeat-y; min-width: 1000px; min-height:100%; text-align: left; margin: 0px; font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; color: #666666;}

Thank you. Brilliant.

I’ve always looked on the wrong direction. was looking for easy datagrid on server side, buy I’ve found this on your template, just on the client side, which is so simple.

thanks again.

Hi,

I have a multi-authors WordPress blog.

The default back-end is a bit too classic and technical for users.

I am wondering if this admin skin supports multi-authors? (Not multi -sites) My members (authors) should only be focusing on writing articles and read announcements and change profile etc… They should only be viewing their own posts, comments, media, profile whereas Admin (myself) can view all users’ posts, comments etc… Users should not be changing any settings, plugins etc…

Also, I am using Theme My Login, is this compatible with it?

This admin skin plugin will not cause any conflict with the theme (front end) that I am using right?

Btw, I am using the latest WordPress 3.1, does it support WordPress 3.1 Menu?

regards, Will

Sorry, UniAdmin is just a HTML template, it’s not for Wordpress. If you’re developing your own application – you can use styles from this template.

Thanks. Martin

Just one little suggestion;

I’ve faced some big trouble with the characters displayed on my website, I’ve double checked everything;

database character sets, table character sets, field character sets, front-end character sets and htmlspecialchars() codes.

But in the end it was the UniAdmin template that messed things up! In the header you have used the UTF -8 character set, this set does not allow special characters and thus are they shown as ‘Àñ’ or similar signs at the front-end page.

I would recommend anyone using this template to change this line: to this:

But besides of that; it’s one hell of a great admin template! Keep ‘m coming!

Just bought it ;) Nice peace of template – my time is worth more than those $15, now I can code backend without loosing few days for coding my own admin layout ;)

Big + for datatables template ;)

And one tip (if I make more “improvements” i’ll inform about it):

In script.js for “*Main Menu” section (lines 25-44 i think) ad:
if($(this).attr("href") == "#")
return false;
under the:
submenu.slideDown(200);

like this:

function InitMenuEffects () {
    /* Sliding submenus */
    $('.sidebar .menu ul ul').hide();
    $('.sidebar .menu ul li.active ul').show();

    $('.sidebar .menu ul li a').click(function () {
        submenu = $(this).parent().find('ul');
        if (submenu.is(':visible'))
            submenu.slideUp(150);
        else
            submenu.slideDown(200);
        if($(this).attr("href") == "#")
        return false;
    });

This will prevent # display on URL when You add a menu like this:

<li>
<a href="#">Articles</a>
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.google.sk">Write a new Article</a></li>
    <li class="active"><a href="http://www.twitter.com">Manage Articles</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://www.facebook.com">Manage Comments</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Manage Categories</a></li>
</ul>
</li>

Before this “quick mod” when You click “tab” like this you will get # in url ;)

Great template. I’d like to make a suggestion or request a change / option.

It would be great if you could change the navigation bar to run across the top of the page as a horizontal nav bar instead of vertical. I’m not sure if this is an easy css change or not, but either way I know I’m going to need to move it to horizontal nav because I need the real estate for the data tables.

Thanks, Cary

For tabs You can do this:

/* Tabs */
    var anchor = $(document).attr('location').hash.substr(1);
    if( ! anchor)
    {
        anchor = 0;
    }
    $('.content-box .tabs').idTabs(anchor);

This will allow to select tab by its hash in URL ;) It’s helpfull if You have a form in tab and after submit You want to stay on this tab – just redirect to #this-tab-name ;) Ofcourse maybe there is more optimal way to do this in JS – I’m not so good with JS ;)
