Does this theme work on wordpress 3.5.1 ?
Three months ago-
I’m a photographer and this is beautiful theme to showcase my work in a professional way! Have you build in a right click projection for images in this theme?
Dream-Theme Author response:
You can install a third party plugin for that. But please note, that this won’t really protect your images from being stollen. The best way if to “watermark” your images with your site address, name, logo, etc (you can search for plugins that will do it for you automatically).
It appears you are using some form of right click / drag and drop protection on images in the theme… Im shocked that you are showing something in the demo, which may not be included in the theme and may be an added cost. If you included this type of protection, in the theme, can you please tell me where to turn it on? If you are using a plugin, could you please tell me which one youre using?
I’m afraid there’s no image protection on our demo. Moreover image protection by disabling drag and right-click is a myth. The only way to protect images is to watermark them.
When I right click on the images on your home page demo and hit view background image, it looks like a 1×1 pixel clear image shows up.
I’m afraid I’ll need a bit more details. Please navigate to that page using this link as entry point: http://unicorn.dream-demo.com and give me address of that specific page and which exact image(s) are protected. Thanks!
That’s not image protection. That’s only a pixel mask overlaying the slider. You can enable/disable it for fullscreen slider via in the correspondent page adding/editing interface.
What size images are you using for the demo home page? They look a lot larger than 960×430. Also are they jpg or png?
Hi, which images exactly are we exactly talking about (slider/page)? Thanks!
The home page. Page template “Page with slideshow (full width)”
Any size you like. We only recommend that image width do not exceed 1600 px.
Was just wondering not really a big issue
is there a setting somewhere that would change it to a narrow layout?
BTW love the theme everything i want is in it 5 stars *
Hi, Thanks for feedback!
Can you please be more specific, what you mean by “setting somewhere that would change it to a narrow layout”? Thanks!
Its ok i found out what the option was. it was “boxed layout” thank you for your reply and thank you for the great theme
A Great looking theme, best one I used so far without a doubt. And best support from anyone, always fast response, helpful and courteous. Thanks Dream-Theme!
Thanks for your feedback!
Hi! I liked the theme. BUT
Why Portfolio page shows 404 error. Ypu can see Portfoluio item on Homepage @ http://arlenstudy.com. When you click it gives 404. Also, in editor when you click view item, the same issue
Navigate to “WP-admin > settings > permalinks” and save settings. This is common procedure when you are using themes with custom post types.

this is a great theme.
is it possible to put a geo localization plugin to detect the language browser?
is it possible to hide the right/left arrow and the animated counter in the top left in the homepage?
Arrows can be hidden in CSS (it’s not that hard). Unfortunately I cannot say anything regarding GEO localization. Sorry
How can I completely remove the arrow from the navigation menu?

BEAUTIFUL THEME !!! Wow and watched the page builder video, Awesome! Curious, anyway to have full screen background(s) per page? and can Revolution or Layer Slider be used in header instead of other slider options (prefer Full width layered slider on mobile/iphone view)
Either way GREAT WORK WOW YOU are Top Notch Designer, and Luv the Mobile view SMooth drop down menus even (a lot of top notch designers still have ol Pop Out bar… but Dream Theme SOLID in every way! Will be purchasing This or Nimble $OON
Individual backgrounds (including fullscreen ones) are supported.
Unfortunately, there’s no “native” API to integrate Revolution or Layer Slider in the header.
Ok GRT (Your Slider options looks great anyway) No just So hard decide if Unicorn or Nimble should be my next purchase…! Thnks, AMAZING
If you do not need precisely Unicorn – go for Nimble. Unicorn is more portfolio/creative oriented; while Nimble is multipurpose template + it gets updates earlier since this is our flagship product.
Well I am more the ‘Creative’ type so probably why I am feeling Unicorn more, but I appreciate the insider advice… Whenever you have an update, is that Reflected in your Theme Demo?
Well ALL you Do is Amazing/One of my absolute Fav Designers on Themeforest!!) Thanks for ALL and I promise one of these two will be my next TF purchase, Wooo Hooooo!
> Whenever you have an update, is that Reflected in your Theme Demo?
As a rule – yes. The temporary exceptions are Chocolate and Slash (there are some licensing questions with the newest version of jwPlayer – this does not affect buyers – only our demo sites)
This theme is fantastic. Very happy with this purchase.
My only issue so far is IE compatibility.
The front page wont load on some IE8 users. Its just a black screen.
Also and also some images will not show on pages.
The sample URL is
www DOT hydroproduce DOT com DOT au
Please help with this as most desktop users still use IE (i cant believe it either).

Hi DT, Unicorn was working fine and no-one touched the site for two days (dev site no users, no comments, etc) now getting
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /home2/genratec/public_html/genratecglobal/wp-content/themes/dt-unicorn/plugins/options-framework/admin/options-functions.php on line 1123
whenever I log into the backend of wordpress.
Appreciate assistance – just spent two months getting this up to looking great…
It is relatively rare issue caused by a specific server settings. It is described here in WordPress Codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Thanks – talking to hosting co. Followed codex instructions for increasing php memory but with no improvement.
Hmm.. Can you, please, submit a request via our online help-desk http://support.dream-theme.com – we’ll get back to you ASAP and take a look what is wrong. Thanks!
I miss Behance.net in Social Links.
The top logo seems to have incorrect alignment when viewed in Internet Explorer.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Will any of the sliders allow video to be embeded? Thank you!
I’m afraid no.
Your Konstruktor theme also has a “one-by-one” slider like the Unicorn theme. Since the Konstruktor theme has a video embedded in that slider, I was hoping your answer for Unicorn having video would be a ‘yes.’ Darn. Such a great theme! Thank you for your time.
Sorry, OBO slider DOES support video in Unicorn, but not other sliders.
Is it possible for me to remove the arrows that drop down from the menu?
And where can I change the text button by the blog posts “Details” button.
> Is it possible for me to remove the arrows that drop down from the menu?
This can be done in CSS . If you are familiar with it, you can use FireBug (FireFox plugin for web-developers) or Chrome web developers tools to define which style should be changed and where. Here’s an awesome screencast by WooThemes on how to use it: http://vimeo.com/20917974 Otherwise you can consider hiring a freelancer to help you.
> And where can I change the text button by the blog posts “Details” button.
We suggest using specialized translation plugins to change captions.
Thank you, Which plugin would you reccommend? I triend using string translations in WPML but can’t seem to find it..
Can I change it in the root files? which line and so on..
I’ve been searching like crazy
Hi, you can use plugin described in this article: http://support.dream-theme.com/knowledgebase/how-translate-the-theme/
I believe the question coku09 has about changing the “Details” text on the post button isn’t about translation. I believe he wants to change what it says. So, instead of “Details” maybe he wants it to say “Read More” and there is no option to change it.
I tried using a couple of plugins myself to change it but they didn’t work. The only way I found to change it is by editing line 709 in the file called “template-helpers.php” located in dt-unicorn > functions > modules > helpers. The only thing is that after a theme update, you have to go back and edit that file again.
Is there any other way to change it?
Translational plugins can be used not only to translate theme, but to change some captions “safely”.
Your hardcoded changes will be lost during theme update. But if you use plugin – you can save all changed captions in single file and it will be safe to update theme.
I tried the plugin you linked to but it does not work. Just like a few other plugins I tried which do not work either.
Please, submit a request via our online help-desk http://support.dream-theme.com – our staff will assist you. Thanks!
an enquiry. can we make the top menu fixed like http://www.searchenginejournal.com/ (same effect and change).
And can we change the high of header slider on different pages
Hi, This feature is not supported at this moment.
My contact form 7 is giving incompatibility, not giving this message “message sent successfully” when the submit button is clicked.
Digging the theme! cant seem to figure out how to put a sidebar in my blog posts. It shows up in the blog, but not the individual posts – any advice appreciated. http://vixenphotography.com/blog/
