I am very interested in this theme but have a quick question. Not sure if its been asked previously but there are too many pages to go through to search.
The mobile device looking slider..will it be possible to use it but without it changing the theme layout? I would love to have it howcase different site design/layouts that have been created for clients.

The “phone slider” is only a demo feature for switching skins. We don’t include it as a feature of the theme. The code used to create the slider is included in the download. Once you have the theme you can extract the code from the “HTML Version” which is included and integrate it in your WP site if you like. Since it’s a demo only item we don’t provide support in this area.
is there a way to show the portfolio section on the home page of the site? (if not, can you suggest how to go about doing it)

OK first problem solved. Now the other issue I have is the modification I made in the single.php doesn’t apply when you look at a category …. check this link….

Hi, having a problem with the main menu, I put the pages into the correct order and sub menus but when I press save it moves them all around into the wrong order.

I’m the second webmaster on this site. I can’t register on your forum because I don’t have the original code that was likely sent to my predecessor or even his predecessor, two years ago. I’m out of luck, I guess.
Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the Fancybox functionality from the Unite theme (ie removing the php, css and js file)? I have been able to get other Fancybox plugins to display Vimeo, however the integrated Fancybox on Unite seems dysfunctional.
I found a solution to the Fancybox problem – remove the Fancybox from header.php and install Easy Fancybox. Unfortunately, the built-in Fancybox in Unite Theme does not work properly. Removing it will save you a lot of headache. The Easy Fancybox plugin is quite intuitive. It would probably be best to remove the built-in Fancybox from this theme. I wasted hours trying to work with it.

The code for that demo feature is in the “HTML” folders in your download. We only provide that as a method of changing the demo for previewing, but if you want to implement it yourself you can find the code there.
With the Gallery View Slider:
1. The URL Link doesnt work. 2. Transition effects Do Not Work. 3. How do you remove the pointer?

Sorry, I was catching up from being out for two weeks yesterday and after my morning trek through the ThemeForest comments I didn’t make it back for my evening edition thanks to the email backlog.
1. No, the slide show doesn’t include an option for videos. It is possible as the actual script supports it, but the admin options in the theme do not include the necessary options for adding video. It would require manually coding the slides which most people don’t want to deal with in a WP theme.
2. This wouldn’t be something handled by the theme. WordPress also isn’t really responsible for protected content, although it does provide a method of doing this. Your best option would be to look for a plugin that provides tools for creating private content.
3. Yes, this theme is simplified so you shouldn’t need to use any HTML if you don’t want to. The customization of the styles can require some CSS editing, but it’s much easier to modify a line to change the link color from red to green than it is to write your articles in HTML .
4. Yes, we can answer questions and provide answers on the forum. We won’t write custom code for you, but we can tell you where to make changes and give general help with code modification if necessary.

One more quickie.
Under the ‘featured content’ bar below the slider when you click on the image it takes you almost to a blog page with the date a such…
Is it possible for that to more of just an info page? Similar to the contact us page or text page from the drop down menu.
It’s possible to modify the featured content to use pages instead of blog posts. It does require modifying the code a little.

Hello. Before I purchase this awesome theme, will the user know when they’re logged in? It seems from the demos that the login part doesn’t change.
Is there something like a ‘User1 is logged in. Sign out’ somewhere in this theme?
There is the WP Admin bar that shows up (by default) for logged in users at the top of the design. Other than that the theme does not do anything different with the design to indicate login status.
I recently downloaded this Unite Theme. When I try to upload it in wordpress theme uploader, it fails because it says there is no style.css file. What do I do? I paid for this already.
