Nice one Joe, Cheers. Ill do the same.

I have not upgraded to WP 3 .0 yet. I purchased the template months ago but, like many other users I can no longer upload images. Does the new version of the template fix the image upload problem in WP 2 .9 our do I need to upgrade to WP 3 .0? How do I get the new (fixed) version of the template?

Byan,

I got the drop-down working but without a CSS and area to put it it works…but not well…

Here’s what I did:

Place the following at the bottom of your functions file

if (class_exists(‘CSSDropDownMenu’)) { $myMenu = new CSSDropDownMenu(); /* Extra options here, like so: $myMenu->exclude_purl=”1”; */ $myMenu->show(); } ?>

Then, place this in your header file

<?php if ( function_exists ( dynamic_sidebar(‘menu’) ) ) : dynamic_sidebar (‘menu’); endif; ?>

It’ll work at least, maybe we can hammer down how to get it going? In the mean-time i’ve emailed the creator, VERY poor help here.

Cheers, Joe

Is replaced as the main picture here? http://themeforest.net/item/universal-business-wordpress-template/89032

It seems like only blood that big shifts to the main picture to view more designs.

Hi,

If you are having issues with a drop down menu, please update to the newest plugin possible. We have just tried that and it’s working OK.

The plugin can be found on the following url: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-css-drop-down-menu/

Sorry for the issue, but this plugin is no being developed by us :(

Thanks. Martin

@ait

Yeah I have the latest one, can you explain HOW you got it working?

Placement of code etc…?

Hi lads,

I’ve published a fix for the top menu, the author is changing dropdown plugin all the time! :( It’s the last time we’re using it…

Please wait until the file is approved by evanto.

Thanks. Martin

Here is a quick fix to header.php:

Old code:
&lt;?php if (function_exists('wp_css_dropdownmenu'))
{
        if (get_version('wordpress-css-drop-down-menu'?&gt;='2.3.7')
                wp_css_dropdownmenu('<div class="navwrap"><ul id="nav">', '</ul></div>');
        else
                wp_css_dropdownmenu(0,'<div class="navwrap"><ul id="nav">', '</ul></div>');
}
else
        echo "<font color="\\"red\">!!! This template require module `wordpress-css-drop-down-menu` </font>";
?&gt;

New code:

<?php if (class_exists('CSSDropDownMenu'))
{
    $colorful_menu = new CSSDropDownMenu();
    $colorful_menu?>before_menu = '<div class="navwrap"><ul id="nav">';
    $colorful_menu->after_menu = '</ul></div>';
    $colorful_menu->home = false;

    ob_start("callback_dropdown");
    $colorful_menu->show();
    ob_end_flush();
}
else {
    echo "<font color="\\"red\">!!! This template require module `wordpress-css-drop-down-menu` </font>";
}
?>

The home page woking just fine, but when goes to other pages I get this error :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ’,’ or ’;’ in /home/paduraks/public_html/wp-content/themes/universal-business/header.php on line 122

Ait,

Can you please explain where you put the code because when I use the instructions on the CSS drop down wordpress page it doesn’t work. In fact, when the code is placed in the fuctions page it even appears on the admin page.

Can you even email me your header/functions file?

Thanks, Joe

Also, what versions of CSS and WP are you using?

Hi.

Love the theme but a couple of problems with the homepage template.

1. The menu works fine on the default template but as soon as I use the Homepage template, the menu doesn’t appear. It’s only on pages using the homepage template that this happens.

I too get the almost hidden text “Please visit the Installation guide to set up your menu properly as it has been changed (remember you can easily edit header.php). If you can’t do it yourself visit Zack Design and contact us for help. Or, reinstall version 2.3.7” appearing behind the image.

header.php contains the new snippet $colorful_menu = new CSSDropDownMenu(); $colorful_menu->before_menu = '<div class="navwrap"><ul id="nav">'; $colorful_menu->after_menu = '</ul></div>'; $colorful_menu->home = false; ob_start("callback_dropdown"); $colorful_menu->show(); ob_end_flush();

but I notice header-main.php appears to be the relevant file when using the homepage template and header-main.php still contains the old code.

I tried replacing the code snippet as per AIT ’s post a couple of days ago but the page doesn’t then load so I’m obviously missing something (I’m not much of a code guy I’m afraid). Is there a revised header-main.php that fixes this?

I only downloaded the theme yesterday so should have the upto date versions.

2. There’s an anomaly with what happens when you click on the address/phone icon.

In the standard template, it merely stays on the same page – rather than going to the “Kontakt page” specified in the control panel.

But when using the Homepage, it attempts to go to a url based on the control panel setting – but fails as it doesn’t relate to the actual page. The requested URL /contact-us was not found on this server.

Any ideas please?

Many Thanks – Duncan

Hi,

if anybody is having an issue with the template, please send me a PM via Themeforest. I’ll forward you a fixed version straight away.

I have submitted new files to themeforest, but they haven’t been approved yet.

Thanks. Martin

I really like this template. If I purchase it, will I be able to customize the header/slideshow and turn off the bouncing movement?

Hi,

if you know a bit of javascript, it’s no problem to change it.

Thanks. Martin

Does anyone know of a way to make the flash dropdown pics clickable? Thanks!

Hello! Is anybody out there? Is there a way to make the home page sliders clickable?

Hey,

we’ve added in new slider functionality today, please wait couple of hours. It needs to be approved.

Thanks. Martin

Just a quick question (kinda got burned on my last Themeforest purchase)

The hotel option, does it have a widget form like in the picture (ie. the booking your room form)

Thanks

Hi,

no it doesn’t, it’s just an example of how the template can be used.

Thanks. Martin

Thanks, Martin! Awesome theme by the way. Check it out here: http://silverlakefamily.com/main/

I am thinking about buying this theme but there are many comments disliking the previous version. Anyone here using v3.0 WP ready and having less issues?

Hello ait,

For some reason I was never able to find the place to change the slider settings. Where can I find these options? Thanks!

You need to use widgets for that. Go to “Appearance” -> “Widgets”.

Hello …

Is the template compatible with the new features of wordpress 3.0? e.g. the custom menu management.

Many Thanks
