Well, there are some restrictions in this layout – mostly due to animation framework, but it’s not really as limited as I think you assume.

Within each “page” (i.e. “about”, “contact” etc) you can do nearly anything you want. In fact, pages themselves are bootstrap based. If you make long content – nice scrollbar will appear automatically. Rearranging the items, adding images, tables, forms etc is not a problem at all. There are two things one should be careful about:

1. Adding new pages (5th, 6th etc) might be a more complicated than usual – this is due to animation schemes. (By the way – how should “cube” animation work like then? :))

2. Adding complicated, custom Javascript to the pages – it’s possible, but due to ajax loading it should be launched not on document.ready jquery event, but using our own event. Not that it’s difficult – it’s just requires different approach to JS.

Besides those two things – you are free to rearrange it however you want

Thanks for you comment! This item should be compatible with IE8 – in fact there is whole 2D version of Ursus Polaris which should be launched automatically on browsers that don’t support 3D transitions. This is the case for iphone and all older browsers including IE8.

Seems that there is some bug in detection mechanism or 2D version itself – we’ll take a closer look at this and update the item accordingly.

Thanks! MyOrange! It’s a good point you’re mentioning here, we’ve put huge effort to make it cross-browser compatible and to run smoothly everywhere. In the future it should be easier… but then again, the revolution has to begin somewhere right? Css 3D transitions open such a huge opportunity to design real fresh user interfaces, there is nothing to wait for – we should exploit those possibilities now!

its still not showing right on my phone, i have an android phone i dont know if that should make a difference it shouldn’t but anyways its still showing 3d effects on and the content doesn’t transform right for my phone as it doesn’t put it into columns

We’re quite new here too, haha :))

This template is a set of HTML/JS/CSS files + documentation. In fact there is no installation for this – just upload the files of ZIP file you can download after purchase to remote server and that’s it. If you needed any support on that just contact us, but there is nothing really difficult in that.

Regarding blog / single portfolio item: well, we’ve been thinking about releasing WP version of this layout, right now we’re analysing how much work needs to be put then. In WP version blog page would be included, but to be honest we didn’t think about implementing single portfolio item page. On the other hand, single slides of the animation are normal bootstrap-based HTML files. You may edit it freely and it’s not that difficult as it may seem.

Regarding arrow keys – hmm, I don’t quite understand the question Keyboard arrows already works – just press left or right to open next/previous pages of Ursus

Hi Andrew,

Just open index.html file (and any other HTML files that are included in your project also).

Find the line containting text: ”” and then change it to: <body class=”greenTheme”> if you liked the green version, <body class=”redTheme”> if you like red one, <body class=”darkTheme”> if you like dark one, <body class=”woodTheme”> if you like wooden variant or <body class=”metalTheme”> if you prefer metal.

I will now update the docs regarding colors, it might be a bit confusing.
