BUG IPHONE : The page formatting goes wider than the screen and the dropdown nav menu shows previous selection, despite being on home page.
HOW TO REPRODUCE : Hold iPhone in vertical mode Click the dropdown for choose a page Pick the Buttons page Click browser back button
Our choice is between this template and 1 other – both of which have different iphone bugs.
hmm thanks for report. I will check it.
Top pulldown menus don’t work when the entire site is put under SSL . There are many external links to google etc.. I have pulled everything to a local server and removed some external not needed links for fonts etc. but I still get an error “Only secure content is displayed. After I manage to get rid of this error, the top menus still don’t work.
Can you post a solution what to modify in your template to make the first main page of your template work under SSL without the above error.
I have never worked with SSL .
SSL is Secure Socket Layer. Standard for secure https connection. Same as http but encrypted.
I was able to find all external links to outside from your template to eliminate that error, but there are many other problems. The navigation pull down menus don’t work in browsers without the latest HTML5 and CSS3 . The slider from the main page also does not work. Just try your template in compatibility view in IE. It becomes useless unless for anything serious.
Hi, thanks for this great theme. Is there a way that I can change the “Portfolio” title on the Portfolio page? I’d like to say ”/// Videos” instead.
Thanks!
Never mind – I found it on your WordPress theme page. Thanks!
Okay
The top menu does not work when switched to “compatibility view” in IE. Can you post a fix for that?
In order to duplicate the problem, please go to your link: http://html.orange-idea.com/valera/navigation.htmland swith to “compatibility view” in IE.
What does “compatibility view” means? Why you switched it? In IE Works fine
A lot of users run their IE browser in compatibility view. Also if you use older computer which is the case in many large companies, they will have the problem because their browser is slighlty older. Only the very latest computers are able to run browsers supporting HTML5 and CSS3 .
There is a little icon in IE where you click to get compatibility view.
You didn’t test it well. I am pretty dissapointed with this template. Also most if not all looks copied from bootstrap and other sources.
Please fix the problem.
The slider also does not work in “compatibility view”. The template does not work proplerly in older browser than the latest IE. Without HTML5 the template is useless.

Great design and style! I just have one question… can I make the site so that it is not responsive and it does not scale? I would like it to stay at the maximum size.
Thank you very much in advance.
Yes, but you have to edit bootstrap.css

Posted two days ago and no response from you.
Have been answered.
You’re missing quite a few icons that I’m trying to use. Specifically, you’re missing all of these:
icon-hdd icon-bullhorn icon-bell icon-certificate icon-thumbs-up icon-thumbs-down icon-hand-right icon-hand-left icon-hand-up icon-hand-down icon-circle-arrow-right icon-circle-arrow-left icon-circle-arrow-up icon-circle-arrow-down icon-globe icon-wrench icon-tasks icon-filter icon-briefcase icon-fullscreen
Would you be able to fix this?
Thanks.
All icons from bootstrap.
I just wish you responded to the errors that I reported. I purchased this template but can’t use it if it does not work properly. I feel ripped off by you.
Have been answered. Sorry for delay
Hi OrangeIdea,
Is there a way to style the drop-down select menu that replaces the main menu when it goes to the smaller-sizes? The one that says “Please choose page”.
At the moment it is just one long list of pages, but I need the text to indent slightly when it’s a sub-page.
Thanks,
Tracy
Yes, you have to add your style to “select” and “option”
Hi OrangeIdea,
Not sure how to do this because when I look at the source code it still shows the ul#menu and not < select > so I don’t know which css selecter to target. Can you give me an example.
My menu should look like this:
Please Choose Page Home Services - Service 1 - Service 2 Contact
Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Tracy
// Populate dropdown with menu items $("nav a").each(function() { var el = $(this); if(el.parents(".sub-menu").length) { $("<option />", { "value": el.attr("href"), "text": "- " + el.text() }).appendTo('nav select'); } else { $("<option />", { "value" : el.attr("href"), "text" : el.text() }).appendTo("nav select"); } });You can see an explanation at jsfiddle.net
Hope this helps someone else.
Cheers,
Tracy
... one more thing …
My client wants to reduce the space between the logo ‘row’ and the SLIDER AREA . The best way for me to do this is delete the entire WELCOME AREA .
However, when I do this the slider action starts messing up the third-level drop-down items on ul#menu. They appear under the picture on the scroller for a few seconds before displaying correctly on top.
Is there any way to fix this within the css with z-index?
Cheers,
Tracy
Hello. Just edit .welcome class in assets/css/docs.css.
try to add this in the bottom of docs.css:
#menu { z-index:9999}Hi.
I have an issue which is driving me insane. When hovering over the drop down menu, as the menu drops down, I move the mouse to select from the drop down menu but it disappears. I have to move the mouse like really quickly to get to the drop down menu.
How to fix this? It seems that the little gap between the main menu and the drop down menu causes the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks.
Hello. It seems that you have some problem with superfish initialization. Show me an url.
Can this template color be changed?
Yes, it is just an HTML Template.
Great template! I’ve found a bug on Chrome: If you shrink the page horizontally and then make it wider again, the Client testimonials go crazy.
http://screencast.com/t/m1jHuv5pSvJust have been open in my Chrome and all works fine.
It takes a bit of trying, but it does happen. I could reproduce it with FF and IE9 too, it’s just that with Chrome it was easier:
The issue is reproduced here (version 1.4): Chrome http://screencast.com/t/WR2XK9ce FF: http://screencast.com/t/4gQWf8hSM3 EI9 : http://screencast.com/t/GATlV6DO
Looks like you there ios some problem with initialization. Can you mail me an url to your website?
I’m actually testing it on my local computer, with the original template files, just opening index.html with the browser.
So, okay, test my demo site. Is there also have such kind of problem?
Same problem reproduced the same way: http://screencast.com/t/izGr3uqEPzy
Check this http://www.screenr.com/P5c8
I have the same Chrome version, but it also happens with FF and IE, so it’s cannot be the version of Chrome.
Have you tried what I do in my videos? You’ll have to do it a few times (2 or 3 normally), but it eventually happens.
FF http://www.screenr.com/I5c8
IE http://www.screenr.com/Hic8
You are showing me the version, but I cannot see on your video that you are trying to reproduce the issue the way I’ve shown you. Have you tried this http://screencast.com/t/WR2XK9ce ?
Oh i understood. when you resize browser you have to refresh page
Yes, if I refresh the page it fixes the problem, but it’s a bug that it doesn’t display correctly when resizing the browser. It’s quite normal for users with big screens to shrink the page on one side and then maximize it for example, so the template should be able to restore the size to the maximum size without having to refresh the page in my opinion.
No, here you are wrong. The site should work on all screen resolutions, and not the intermediate.
I doubt I am wrong. First of all, “all screen resolutions” include also “intermediate ones”, otherwise it wouldn’t be “all”. And second, having to refresh the page every time the browser is resized is not a requirement of responsive designs. Your template works great and 99% of the elements display correctly when the browser is resized, except for the testimonials, which have a bug. Another thing is if you don’t have time to fix it or if you don’t consider it a priority, that is your call.
No, I do not agree with you because I do not see any sense at all to change the size of the browser window. But I’ll try to fix it.
I guess it depends on your screen and how you work. It’s something I do a few hundred times per day. If I need to work on two applications at the same time, I put them side by side (on a Full HD screen), when I need to use only one, I maximize it. I do this all the time and I’m quite sure I’m not the only one. Thanks for looking into it.
Hello OrangeIdea, we have a problem with the slider that it does not seem to resize correctly on iPad. You can look at it by yourself when loading Valera default theme preview.
- When using the iPad orizontally, the slider gets wider than the screen and forces horizontal scrolling. - When using the iPad vertically, the slider gets wide as the whole screen, which I don’t think it’s a good behaviour on a Tablet (though it is good for a cell phone).
Is there a way to control its size at certain resolutions? Or fix this problems? We are trying to have some text close to it and keep this behaviour on iPads too.
Thanks in advance
Hello. Will test it on my ipad in few days.
Hi. I posted this 7 days ago and i’m still waiting for a response. Can you look at it please?

The link will work When I change the code to:
<a class="btn btn-success" href="demo.html">View Details</a>However, I want the text link color to remain white on active and mouseover. Can you help?

I am still waiting for a response??
Thanks.
as i understood you have figured it out by yourself.
I have figured it out myself! The styles are:
.block aand.block a:hoverFound in the CSS file named ‘docs.css’
You really need to improve your responsiveness to questions or issues regarding this theme. Many of us do have deadlines to meet.
