Hi I want to get this theme, but it appears from most comments, it has too many issues than it does compliments. I know some issues are user generated and not the themes problem. I really like the layout and wondering if any major issues have been addressed in the latest version that I should be aware of. Would like theme to be functional exactly as demo previews. I take it you have demo content xml just in case?

Well many users are experience some problem by editing the theme, and as it is an Ajax one it is a complex thing and does not work on the way each other theme works.
It does not have any major problem’s, but you can check the Changelog at the bottom of the theme to see the fixes we made and also you can test it by your self on other browsers.
As for the demo content we ship the theme with the XML, but we offer free installation and demo content import by our support team.
We love the theme (Valerie) and our customer does as well. I am hoping that we can move the button on the hompage down about 100PX and move the Project Buttons (Categories/Back to Results, etc) under the project boxes.
Please help.

Hi, Is it possible to get rid of the ‘back to projects’ box and the lines underneath image slideshow in the projects pages? I would like to have the images with arrows only as I load each project directly from the top menu. Thanks!
Hi Unfortunately you cant do this by default.
and also, can you please let me know how to change the colour of the works thumbnails once they are rolled over (can we edit them in your PSD template and somehow get the template to use the updated files)? I search this forum but didn’t find a solution.
To change that you can use Color Pickers which are located on Umbrella – Branding

Hey guys – I’m the designer for va-la. This is one of the best themes I’ve ever worked with. Thanks for the great theme and great support. With that said, I’m looking for a way to have two copies of the project category pages. One where the .project style is the standard block:

And one that’s a custom size. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Maybe some conditionals?
Also – do project categories have IDs?
I tried making a taxonomy-publications.php page, and editing that, but I don’t think that’s right. Basically, I want to duplicate the taxonomy-project_category.php page, for a specific project category (in my case publications)...
I also tried making a category-8.php page, and that works fine for post categories, but not for project categories.
The conditional statement I was talking about would go in the header, saying something like if category “publications” use X stylesheet, else, use main stylesheet.
Hopefully I’ve been more clear, sorry to flood the comment wall.

First just be sure you have placed child menu items on Appearance, you can do this by draging the Menu Item just after the parent but it should look like a margin left is applied.
As for slider projects fill the Slider Projects Custom fields with images and videos.
sub menu works when background has 3 slide. when I downloaded the more it stopped working
slider on the Projects page, first worked when I put the picture on background it stopped working

Unfortunately this theme is not Widgets ready and we did not test it with qTranslate.
Great theme guys and girls! i am www.theelectricink.com, when publishing a project the link says “broken” and unable to be loaded. However when i have a project in draft mode it is able to be previewed perfectly.
Also [one_third] is not working, not sure what is going on.
