Hey, awesome theme! I really really want to use those fonts for my website. Where can I find those?

Hey there,

The main font is “Montserrat Alternates” by Julieta Ulanovsky. On Google Fonts: http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Montserrat+Alternates.

Salve, volevo chiedervi se è possibile visualizzare il footer nella home page.

grazie in anticipo

Salve,

No, mi spiace. Potresti aggiungere un ulteriore sezione ed aggiungere le informazioni necessarie.

Hey There, before i buy, i just wanted to make sure that i would be able to have a lightbox for youtube/vimeo straight from the thumbnail. I wouldnt like to click the thumbnail and then go to another page to see and embedded video, it would be great to just open the video from the thumbnail,

please let me know and then i would love to buy it!

Hello,

Nope, the theme’s Lightbox only supports images.

I can’t apply for an account at your help-site because my username isn’t supported and can’t change it in the applysection

Hey there,

Could you please try again? Thanks.

I have spent about $400 on themes this past year trying to get the perfect combination of clean, fast, and responsive design all in one. This is the best theme ive used. I have only one question, will a future update feature a navigation when used on a phone? Right now it just dissapears.

Hey there,

Happy to hear that! :) No plans to change the Home’s Menu behaviour on small screen devices, sorry. Don’t hesitate to ask if you got more questions.

-S

Quick question hopefully.

I’ve created a blog page. I want to link directly from the top menu; it shouldn’t be on the home page as I don’t want to show a full article on the home page as they’re large.

I’ve created a menu in appearance. And I’ve set up a link to the ‘blog’ page together with an icon. But despite setting it as the “Navigation” menu, nothing appears.

In fact the old menu is still there.

Am I right in thinking it should ADD to the menu or will it get rid of it altogether. I’m worried that I can’t mix a link to an external page with a stream link to the homepage.

Hello there,

The Menu of the Home is generated automatically depending on the sections you’ve created.

To add custom links you’ll have to edit a theme’s file (in specific, the file named “template-home.php”).

-S

Ahh. Damn. Could you wing me some code to put in there? All I want to do is include an external link?

Either that or I’d be happy to have the blog on the home page if only it showed previews of the articles and not the whole article.

Sure, feel free to ask us on help.opendept.net. We’ll give you the necessary instructions.

Hi – is it possible to integrate an e-commerce plugin with this theme?

Hey there,

Yes, the theme can be used with any well developed WordPress Plugin. Eventually you’ll have to make some minor CSS adjustments to adapt it to our theme.

Please, note that we do not provide support for Plugins.

Is there a way to make the header transparent?

Hey there,

Yes, by using custom CSS Code and pasting it in Appearance – Theme Options – Extras – CSS Code.

To make the whole header transparent, use:

.home .velo-anchor {
    -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha( Opacity = 50 )";
    opacity: .5;
}

To use a transparent background color:

.home .velo-anchor {
    background-color: rgba( 255, 255, 255, .5 );
}

.ie8 .home .velo-anchor {
    background-color: #fff;
}

To make the changes global, simply remove the ”.home” portion of the code.

Hope it helps!

It did work at first, but then for some reason using this code deleted all of my homepage sections. Really weird. They just disappeared. Can you test this problem out on your end. I want to use this again and theres about a .01% it was something else because thats the only change i made. thanks!

nevermind i got it to work, thanks!

tjg May 30 Hi,

i take a png file on my page, but the background are white….

THX for replay….

Hello,

To add an image and avoid the post styling you can use the [pic] Shortcode. For instance:

[pic retina=http://image.png url=http://image.png]

You can find more info about the included Shortcode in the theme’s Documentation.

Come posso fare?

Potresti utilizzare lo Shortcode [pic], che aggiunge immagini bypassando le classi di WordPress e fornisce support per display ad alta densità di pixel. Ad esempio:

[pic url="http://url.to/your/image.png"]
[pic url="http://url.to/your/image.png" retina="http://url.to/your/image-x2.png"]

I purchased this theme and want to use the home page as a single page portfolio with each work in its own section. I prefer how the theme scrolls on a tablet or phone versus the slideshow effect on a desktop browser.

How can I remove the z-indexing to allow the section to stack instead of overlapping?

Hey there,

I’m afraid that’s not possible without modifying the theme’s files, sorry.

-S

Hi! Thank you for an awesome theme! I have three questions.

1) Is there any way of changing the menu icons to text instead? 2) Where can I view all of the icons? Changing “section icon” and reloading just to look through is not very effective. 3) I can’t seem to link to one section from another seeing as it’s anchor links. How do I get around that?

Thanks!

Hey there,

1) Yes, but you’ll have to edit a file of the theme. The file responsible for the Menu output is located in Velo – includes and named “nav-walker.php”.

2) In the theme’s package you’ll find a PDF file containing pretty much all icons included. For a more detailed list use: http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/

3) I’m not sure about your question. To link to a specific section simply add links pointing to the anchor of the section you want to display. For instance:

<a href="#about">About Section</a>

Hope it helps!

hi before buying this theme, is it possible to see all the shortcodes available? grazie maurizio

Hello Maurizio,

Sorry, there is no public list available at the moment. However, all content showed in the theme’s Live Preview has been created through the available Shortcodes and no custom code at all. Are you looking for a specific one?

-S

not really but i wanted to see ALL the shortcodes available thanks anyway

Hi, wanted to buy the theme, I had one query I want to add my Logo in the preloading sequence it would appear above the loading circle is it possible

Hello there,

It is possible, but you’ll have to edit the theme’s files. It’s pretty easy and quick if you have a basic knowledge of CSS.

-S

Wow, this is a great theme, best I have ever bought so far.

Just one thing I still can’t figure out:

How to properly use the link in the first Homepage section and to make it scroll to the 2th, 3th, or 4th section? I managed to just add the #sectiontitle as a link, but it does not work on the Iphone. (The link in the demopage is working on my Iphone) any tips?

Aha, nevermind, it works already. Maybe it was some cache on the Iphone browser? Anyhow, this theme is offering so much freedom regarding colors and icons, one needs extra time to choose what’s most lovely to use ;-)

Hey there,

Happy to hear that :) Yes, it could be related to your browser’s cache.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you got more questions!

-S

Homepage menu is not showing up in my fresh wordpress install.

ps. i tried to sign up for your support forum site but themeforest is not showing License Certificate number in the download area for this purchase.

Hello,

That’s strange. Have you created any Home Section? You can find more info in the included Documentation.

The “License Certificate” is now displayed when clicking the “Download” button.

-S

I’m in love with the Velo theme, but I have a few questions before I make a purchase:

Does the theme include a “team” page? Is it possible to use typography for the main nav rather than icons?

Thanks!

Hey there!

1) No standard “Team” layout included, but you could easily create one using the included Shortcodes. In the theme’s package you’ll find the Sample Data from the Live Preview in case you prefer to start with a base.

2) It is possible, but you’ll have to customize the theme’s files.

-S

Hey there, I’d like to know if I’m able in the home (or other sections) to add a canvas video background, as featured in spotify.com website, or a full width google-map.

Thanks! Jacopo

Hey Jacopo,

Not by default, but it’s definitely possible by customizing the theme’s files.

-S

how can I change an icon on the nav bar? i want to use a custom icon. thanks a lot in advance for quick response!

Hey there,

You can assign a Menu Icon to your Menu in Appearance – Menus. You can assign an icon to a Home Section while editing it, using the “Menu Icon” module.

To use custom icons, I’m afraid you’ll have to customise the theme.
