Hello! I have more questions – There is shadow around folding menu (not megamenu, just usual one). I tried to remove it by deleting -moz-box-shadow: and box-shadow: parameters in style.css file, but shadow is still on its place. Again – what is my mistake?

same problem like before maybe? Are you sure you cleared your browser cache?

Also set shadows to “none”:
-webkit-box-shadow:  none; 
box-shadow:  none;

Hello!

First of all: excellent theme thanks!.

I have got a question about the use of the Goodweb Menu icons and a consequence for mobile responsiveness.

The issue: If I use icons in front of the navigation label of the different menu-items (the Goodweb Menu Icons you can select) than the navigation text nor the icon is visible on a mobile device.

I have tested it in different mobiles (IOS and Android). The menu-item is unfortunately left blanc completely.

I really would like to use the icons because it looks very good (on a pc/desktop). Are you able to fix this somehow so that it is also visible in the menu on a mobile device?

The revolution slider on my site is not working. I’m thinking about deactivating it and deleting it and reinstalling and activating it again to see if it makes any difference. Will this lose all the themes that come with the revolution slider?

I seem to be getting an error on the blog page when adding a video post. The issue is the same with Vimeo or Youtube video. It doesn’t show any errors on the full post page (clicking read more) but on the blog page itself the following appears above the post “Warning: Division by zero in /pathinfo altered/sites/namgbr/wp-content/themes/velocity/index.php on line 307" You can see this specifically on http://namgbr.stlbrits.com/news/

Any ideas if this is a bug or something specific to my site?

Hello there again Damojo, i have a problem when installing AddThis social buttons. I can’t get them to go on the bottom of my blog posts or my portfolio articles, and when the plugin is installed and activated, i have problems with the menu and with the css animations on my pages. I found the source of the bug mentioned in my previous post. It wasn’t my child theme.

It looks like The Velocity theme 1.4.2, is in conflict with the WPML plugin. (It displays duplicate Layout or Blank content.. Weird .)

I tried to install the patch:

I was currently writing from the account mesf43 and was asked to write from the account we purchased the Velocity template from. I am the one having problems with the revolution slider and need to publish our website by this Wednesday and need the revolution slider to work. It is still not working – when I edit in the editor, it shows up how I want it (after a couple times tapping “save” – takes two times for some reason) then when I look at it updated on the home page, it does not show up the same as the editor. I looked this up in Google and other people were having the same problem with rev slider. I saw that you had said you would check on it asap and thought it might be a conflicting plugin or server issue, but was wondering when this could be looked into and if it could be fixed before Wednesday? It is somewhat the centerpiece of our website and I would very much like it to work with the template as that is how it is shown in the preview of this template. Here is the information I found online about rev slider not working:

“You should do changes not in internal WP revolution Slider CSS editor but in file wp-content/themes/spartacus/css/slider.revolution.css. This file overwrites core revolution slider CSS.

Why we opted for this solution? Because changes made in revolution plugin CSS are saved not in theme directory but in wp-content/plugins/revslider/rs-plugin/css/captions.css. This means that every time youupgrade plugin you should remember to backup this css file if is changed. And from experience we know that customers don’t remember about this :(.

This is of course not ideal solution (for example custom styles are not visible in plugin slide editor) but from our point of view it is safer.

Of course, if you are aware of the situation, you can easily disable the custom CSS for Revolution sliderincluded in theme.

Remove or comment lines 37 and 38 in file wp-content/themes/scpartacus/layouts/before.php

wp_register_style('revslider-css', get_template_directory_uri().'/css/slider.revolution.css');
wp_enqueue_style('revslider-css');

or simply do file slider.revolution.css empty.Then Revolution slider will be use own CSS.Karolina”

Hi,

as we told you in the support tickets already:

There is some bad CSS either made by you or a plugin that is overwriting the Sliders CSS.

Please send a link to our support system you already have a ticket concerning this. And again we offer to fix this with a CSS hack if you send us an admin account too!

The solution your wrote about is perfect for a bad coded theme that overwrites the Slider CSS. We are unfortunately no bad coders.

Nevermind, I’ve answered my own question. The Visual Composer is required to use the short code.

sorry that I was not clearer before! The line the error messages report is a line that combines all theme options into one array. I assume that some theme option got lost on the way (however that is possible).

To solve that please open the “Velocity Options”, open each option tab (like “Layout”, “Header”...) and press on the “Save Changes” button on each tab. http://screencast.com/t/zhplOEF7lfBB

I’m not sure if this is a theme thing or not but I figured I’d ask. :-)

While I’m happy with how my site looks/is coming together the performance seems to be horrible. So I did some tests using tools.pingdom.com and one of the worst performing areas has the following “advice”

Resources with a ”?” in the URL are not cached by some proxy caching servers. Remove the query string and encode the parameters into the URL for the following resources

Under this some 30+ items from the wp_content or wp_includes folders are listed and it seems to be for each .js or .css where the version number is listed on the end as ?ver3.8.1 as an example.

I did some searching and found some suggestions on dealing with this such as http://www.sharepointjohn.com/wordpress-remove-version-query-strings-from-javascript-js-and-css-stylesheet-files/ but this seems to break some things in the theme like fonts in the velocity revolution slider options. Although the performance report didn’t include the suggested changes the page load time actually seemed to get worse.

Just wondering if there’s something that could be done within the theme to address this and maybe help with page load speeds?

Hi,

after our experience with hosting, we can only advise against GoDaddy. Its slow and lacks features that are standard on other hosters. Its better to pay a bit more on hosting and have a fast, reliable service in return.

when you install the demo data, you can find the blog posts with a parallax block in “home example 2”. (see in our demo install: http://themepunch.com/velocity_test/home-example2/) This is all build with visual composer.

Hi,

you can dismiss that message. The use of the plugins that came with this theme is allowed for this very theme and you are not obliged to activate a plugin.

If you decide to use one of those plugins in a different theme though you need to purchase a separate copy/license and then can activate the plugin.

Also if you like to have an option to automatically update the plugins (updates via the theme can only be handled manually) or need premium support from the plugin author you also can purchase a copy and need to activate the plugin.

Cart Page – Coupon Code entry box truncated?

Not sure if this has always been there or I have only just noticed but on the cart page the coupon code entry box seems to be too short/truncated. If compared the the enter coupon code box on the checkout page I think you’ll see the difference.

Is this something that needs an update to the WooCommerce integration with the theme style/css?
