Hi,

how do i limit the number of products shown in You May Also Like.. ? Thanks

synesthete

Go to vende>>woocommerce>>single-product>>tabs.php

find (line 22):

'posts_per_page' => -1,

change -1 to your number, for example:

'posts_per_page' => 3,

will display max 3 products.

Hi Synesthete; my questions is specifically because I followed your screecast and still pops out vertical. I careted the menu, added the items, categories, etc and made submenus to try and in very way this menu comes out vertical with more items than i included (all pages). What am I doing wrong? As mentioned, I had previously installed another template called Big Format and believe if im not wrong that I used some pluggin for creating a navbar as that specific menu does not have one. But I cant remember. Please advice. Thanks!

PS: too bad we can add a Linked In , its such a powerful media for business.

if you want send me login&password to your site, and i will enable menu for you.

Can the icons in the drop down bar (below the 10% Discount ads) be replaced by images? if so how many and can it have the function to scroll? like a featured product Carousel on the woothemes. Also does it have the ability to stay open on a page refresh?

If not can I use the woocommerce product Carousel in place of it…Basically I need it to show on every page of products…

Hi, I have be strugglin to change the language of WooCommerce, it says to contact the author of the theme as it might have some sort of language file that has been installed. I checked, there is a language file but not sure if I should eliminate it. I need spanish on WooCommerce, thanks! I am also using CodeStylin and that is what is not funtioning well.

synesthete

Hi,

inside vende folder is language file/folder????

If yes (don’t have idea why it exists there), then you can delete it.

Hey absolutely love this theme. Thanks. Just a few questions: How do I remove the login/my account tabs at the top right of the site? Also how do I change the link colors in the internal adds section? And in the review section of products how do I have a box for them to fill out and send a review. Thanks again.

synesthete

HI,

1) open header.php and delete everything from line 45 to 72:

it starts from
<?php if (isset($woocommerce)) { and ends on <?php } ?>

2)

paste in style.css, at the bottom:

#promoblock li h4 {
color: red;
}

#promoblock li p {
color: yellow;
}

of course change color values.

Every time I erase lines 45 to 72 the site will not load and I get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/amanley/public_html/isobeats.com/wp-content/themes/vende1/header.php on line 65

How would I resolve this for the login button to disappear.

synesthete

Can You send me log&pass to your site through my profile page? i will remove login area…

The browsers report that some elements on the page are not secure. I have everything I can find set to https:. When I view source, the background image and header background images are not secure. Also, something that appears to be a google script and font reference. How do I solve this problem. I can’t send link, as you would have to set your host file to see the page. It is not currently live.

To be more precise about the insecure elements showing up in view source:

<!--[if lt IE 9]> <script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script> <![endif]--> <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:600,600italic&subset=latin,cyrillic-ext,latin-ext' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'/> body { background-image: url('http://www.aaparadiseflowers.com/wp-content/themes/vende/images/patterns/xv.png'); } header { background-image: url('http://www.aaparadiseflowers.com/wp-content/themes/vende/images/patterns/design.png'); }

I’ve never included pattern with such a name (check themeforest zip – vende>images>patterns), maybe this cause the problem. Fonts and html5.js are provided by Google so it’s safe.

Default-user

I didn’t say it is not safe. I never meant to imply that you included files that could be malicious. I’m trying to make my checkout page secure with a SSL certificate. The browsers will report it as insecure/not safe to enter your credit card if there are ANY elements on the page that are referred to with http:// instead of https://. The problem here is I have no way in your theme to enter the URL to my background image as https:// or the /wp-content/upload/etc so the https:// will be assumed on the checkout page. Please help me solve this problem. I can’t use a theme that will not allow me to utilize a SSL certificate to secure the checkout page!

Update: We found the two URLs in the code and changed them to be https. When we disable the header background image and body background image the browser shows the checkout page as secure. When they are enabled, it displays the warning about some elements on the page not being secure. I don’t see a way for me to change the URL to these background images. I would hope an ecommerce theme would be setup to be SSL certificate friendly. Please let me know how to fix this.

Thank you,

Tina

How do we secure these images? body { background-image: url(‘http://www.aaparadiseflowers.com/wp-content/themes/vende/images/patterns/xv.png’); } header { background-image: url(‘http://www.aaparadiseflowers.com/wp-content/themes/vende/images/patterns/starring.png’); }

We found the path to the background images in the database.

synesthete

I understand You didn’t have anything bad in mind. I don’t have any experience with ssl certificates, and i thought that one of the file could be infected ;} besides english isn’t my primary language, hence this misunderstanding.

Anyway, for future users I would like check possible solution for https (without databases adjusting) setup.

Can you go to vende >> of >> admin >> theme-options.php (line 64), and change one line:

$bg_images_url = get_bloginfo(‘template_url’) .’/images/patterns/’;

to

$bg_images_url = get_template_directory_uri().’/images/patterns/’;

Default-user

Sorry, that didn’t work

We had a problem with the checkout process. When you select another country, the options/states for the previous country are still there. It doesn’t update.

So we updated Woocommerce to the latest version. Now, even though theme options, shop settings is set to 3 columns, it is showing 4 items to a row which doesn’t fit so it goes to the next line leaving a lot of space.

Any idea how to fix? Thank Tina

New update for Vende ready (fix for selecting state/country bug).

Changes affect only one file since last update, so no need to upload whole theme.zip

please go to vende >> scripts >> inits.js, open it, delete everything and paste code from here – http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=hYaUAT8J

If you still using older woocomerce versions (1.4.x or 1.5.x) and want to update (to 1.6.x), be sure to redownload theme.zip again

Thank you for all your help! You helped me fix all the issues encountered so far. Even the SSL certificate works after installing the plugin WordPress HTTPS Version 3.0.4.
