your code is almost correct try this:

Thank you greatly for your help. The code works and turns the background white, but doesn’t insert the .png image. is this the header size? 860 X 143 i went to inspect element in chrome and couldnt find the image or errors. The link is working in the browser for the header image. Do you have any suggestions?

I found the element in firebug. is there a tweak to get the image to work

I’m sorry i still cannot get it to work. I tried different images and .jpg I had to add to style.css. The code plugin i use keeps adding a slash in the code. url(\”http://www.portalcybermall.com/v/Free-Games.jpg\”) is that slash ok. Everytime i hit save it auto adds it. But iv added the code to style.css also to make sure.

slash will break url code, and browser won’t “find” image location…

You are using some plugin for adding css code?

You can edit your code in Appearances > Editor

Simply remove or rename those files, and automaticaly core plugin (newest) files will be used.
