Hello Iman,

Could you recomend me the best way to have a multilanguage site with Ventus?.. I am using qtranslate plugging because I prefer to have a field apart to put my own translation. The issue with this? I cannot translate anything outside wordpress’s fields. Nothing belonging to the theme or pluggin. In some cases like Menu items, I´m using a tag like this: <!-:en->Our Company<-:es->Nuestra Compañía<!-:->

I tried the same criteria for “Header Bubble Text (Left Area)” for example but the result was something like this: – Our CompanyNuestra Compañía -

Can we modify something in the code on order to this works properly?

Actually I’ve not tested Ventus with qtranslate but it’s fully compatible with WPML plugin.

Is it possible to try with WPML plugin? Please let me know if you have the same problem with WPML or if you have any other questions, problems or suggestions.

Thank you for purchasing Ventus! Sorry I was sleeping and I wasn’t able to help sooner :)

This error is because of your web server PHP settings. Please try to add the following code into your .htaccess file which is in your web site root directory (you should change it with FTP):

php_value upload_max_filesize 50M
php_value post_max_size 50M
php_value max_execution_time 500
php_value max_input_time 500

If you have access to your php.ini file, you may also try this, please find this code there:

upload_max_filesize = 2M

And increase the 2M limit to a higher number like 20M.

If this didn’t help, please talk to your web host and ask them to increase your php.ini upload_max_filesize.”

It’s a limitation setup by your hosting company or the level of hosting you have. Easy fix for your host if you don’t have access to a php.ini file.

P.S. If you are in a hurry and cannot wait for your hosting company to fix it, you may try to install the theme by FTP. You can see the instructions at the begining of Ventus documentations.

Thank you for purchasing Ventus! Please go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Unlimited Sidebars” and add your sidebars there.

Then go to “Appearance > Widgets” and add your preferred widgets in these sidebars.

Finally in edit page/post, set the sidebar of the page on top right side of the page in Page Layout metaboxes.

Hello Iman, I am setting up a site in spanish but in some cases like post info ej: “LEAVE A REPLY” “READ MORE” “NO COMMENTS” are in english. Or in INVATO SLIDERS appears words like “Previous or Next”. How can I translate them?

Did you tried to translate the theme via .po files in /languages directory? If not, please kindly translate the theme but if you did this and these words are not translated properly, please let me know and I’ll check it.

Thank you for the beautiful theme. Have been shopping a while for one, and got Ventus :) It is my first time ever working with WordPress, and I am very confused. I have three quick questions.

1) How can I make the home page footer (in grey with contact information and contact form) look like demo page? (I imported the demo content but it did not work for me) 2) How can I create a marker image for the map? 3) Can I upload PDF files to download to the front page?

About marker map, you may find a PSD file in this directory:

/wp-content/themes/ventus/assets/img/contact_bubble.psd

Please open it and edit it to fit your needs. Then save it as a jpeg or png file and upload it in your theme options. This way it will show your address there.

About PDF files, you can do this and then make a direct link to it in your WordPress. This way, your visitor will be able to download it :)

Please edit your portfolio item and in “Related Posts” section, set it to hide. This will hide the related portfolio (products) in this item.

I’ve added a global option in theme options in the new version which will let you disable it globally.

As @hoodvisions said, You can turn off WooCommerce easily since it’s a plugin.

By the way if you want to turn off Ventus styles for WooCommerce and use your own styles instead of it, you should remove its CSS file manually from your theme directory.

@ImanGM: Is there any way to rename the “ALL” category in the portfolio filters? I am using a multilingual blog, but I cannot find that string in the database or any of the files at all…weird.

Fixed it myself :) WPML allowed me to add the strings from the themique plugin where I could also add translations for “ALL”

Hi ImanGM, yes, I actually do have a question. :) Now, with the update of WP to 3.9 the Visual Composer is “broken”. It seems they are aware of it and have updated the Visual Composer. As it is included in this theme, are we going to get an update for the Visual Composer as well? (The main issues are: white text on white background; buttons not working properly; didn’t see for myself yet but being reported: VC rows being bugged once adding rows)

Thank you for purchasing Ventus! If your site color is locked to green, it seems that your theme options are not loaded properly… Please follow this article:

This will reset your theme options. Once you done it, please change your theme options again and save it.

So I have just bought Ventus Theme today. It’s the Ventus Unique WordPress Theme v1.6.1.

I installed this theme on my wordpress (in localhost in this time).

Oh, I see :)

If you are using Ventus v1.6.1 it will only be there on http://localhost/ and once you move it to Internet, it will be removed automatically.

You may also use http://127.0.0.1/ if you don’t want to see it on your local host too :)
