Very nice design, great job on this, congrats…
Good luck with sales
Thanks Bedros!
Love the MailChimp integration!
Thanks Dante!
There is a problem with the placeholder text in IE 8 & 9 – it just doesn’t show up – know of a fix for this?
After a bit of research I now see why this isn’t working – the html5 placeholder attribute is not supported in IE. Probably should include something like this: http://afarkas.github.com/webshim/demos/ in the package…
Hi thibodeaux, thanks for purchasing the template and you are right. Thanks for pointing that out. I will update the file soon with a fix.
I’m having a problem with the template: when the form is submitted, there is no feedback. I’ve checked the code and the success handler doesn’t seem to get called at all. Do you have any previous experience with that?
Hey berislavlopac,
There is an ajax success message after the form is submitted. If you go to the live preview and signup, you will be able to see it function.
If you do not see that after setting up your file, then there might be one more step you need to go through in setting up the form for your own list.
Let me know if this is what you meant.
Bryan
No, not really. I have noticed the supposed message in the Javascript, but it just doesn’t seem to get activated. The form is setup correctly and has the MailChimp code.
You can see it at http://backre.st/—Javascript is slightly changed due to my testing, but that didn’t make it work.
I took a look at what you’ve done so far.
I noticed one important thing missing from your code, when you pasted in your mailing list URL . Where the URL is listed again in the javascript it needs to have a callback ( &c=? ) at the end. If you look at the original index.html file in the package that works, you’ll see that it has that.
See here for explanation: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3595515/xmlhttprequest-error-origin-null-is-not-allowed-by-access-control-allow-originIf that change does not fix things for you, then you might need to check your mailchimp form setup as well.
Let me know.
Bryan
Thanks Bryan, that was the issue, it’s working fine now. Kudos on the great template!
Great. Thank you!
Great product!!!
Thanks!
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for this great product.
I’ve one small question, is it possible to increase the height of the sign up box? I want to stick another button in that box.
Thanks
Hi duco,
Yes, you can easily increase the height of the signup box.
Simply find ”.signin” in the css and increase it’s height. The height is originally set to 111px. Changing it to 151px should be enough to accomodate an extra button below.
Thanks for purchasing. Glad you like the template!

How do I edit the ajax message here:
“Almost finished… We need to confirm your email address. To complete the subscription process, please click the link in the email we just sent you.”
Its too long and line breaks over the Facebook and Twitter link text, could be tidier.
Hi ekajatik,
Thanks for purchasing!
Mailchimp does let you edit this text if you redirect to a confirmation page, but when using the ajax display I do not think it is possibile to edit the message.
The only two ways I can think of are either writing your own javascript to display your own message instead of that one, or making the box smaller and applying overflow: hidden; so that the text would be shorter. For example, setting it up to show the first line and have the overflow hidden so that it looks like it is only one link and can be smaller.
I know it is not an elegant solution. If you ask mailchimp about this on their forums, maybe they will have another suggestion. Hope this helps.

Will this form work with aweber? I don’t know much about ajax, just html.
Hi dgabran,
It is possible to setup this form with any other newsletter subscription service and maintain the styling in the template, although you may need to do a little work to integrate the new form html.
The ajax response will be dependent on how your aweber form works. If you can set it to provide an ajax response you can get it to function very similar, but if your aweber form usually redirects to a confirmation page, then it would redirect to that same confirmation page when inserted in the template as well.
Here’s a link that talks about using custom forms, or modifying aweber forms: http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/396/Can+I+Use+My+Own+Form%3F
How challenging the switch is for you depends on your experience in working with web forms. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to more than a few hours.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I would be glad to help.

Hi
Looks perfect for what I’m after. Is it possible to place a facebook like link/button?
Gosh I’m an idiot. Just saw the link. Is it possible to change the word to an image?
Hi Fiona,
Yes, changing the text to an image would be very simple to do.

Hi Bryan, I got problems trying to use a taller logo (width 331, height 228), the logo is not centered properly and it overlaps the sign-in box. I can’t manage to make it right for both web and ipad / iphone layouts. I’ve tried several dirty css ricks but it seems ti be out of my knowledge. Can you please help me ?

Hey AD_Flash_Design,
Sure, it’s an easier adjustment than it might seem. Can you message me from my profile and if you can give me a link to what you have so far that would be useful.
Thanks for purchasing!
Bryan
Hey AD_Flash_Design,
I haven’t heard from you. Do you still need help? Please get in touch if you do. I’d be happy to help you out.
Bryan
Hey bryan, I bought this theme on my primary themeforest account a while ago, but only now have I wanted to use it.
I just wanted to know how to get mailchimp set up like you have in the live demo. I’ve registered a mailchimp account, and I can tell in the html where your code starts and ends, but I have no idea what to do next, Im guessing this is done in the mailchimp forms settings right?
Hi geti,
The documentation included with the template explains this process exactly. Please take a look at the documentation and if you still have questions let me know. I’d be glad to help.
Bryan
Hi, quick question. How did you got to put the message after submitting an email. I changed the Mailchimp link with mine and its not appearing anymore. How could i also change the message?
(I am referring to the one that says: Please check the link in your email to confirm….)
Hey Jual,
Thanks for purchasing! You might need to adjust a couple things in your mailchimp code if you no longer see the ajax response. As far as changing it, you may be limited to what mailchimp offers.
Can you send me a link and I’ll take a look at it? Message me through my profile if you do not want it public.
Thanks! Bryan
Is there an easy way to upload this on Wordpress? It says there’s no stylesheet when I try to upload the zip file.
Hey – I’m experiencing a lot of issues due to the files not being named right. For a simple landing page, it’s fairly labor intensive. Not sure why it’s not formatted for Wordpress, either. Please contact me – either need a refund or a response asap. I have built multiple Wordpress websites and this setup is just not ideal.
Hi SFBeth,
First, thank you for purchasing!
I saw your email as well, but I’ll respond here since you left a couple comments.
The Vibrant Coming Soon template is an HTML template. It is not a Wordpress theme and was not advertised as one. On Themeforest, if it cannot be found under the Wordpress section in the menu, then it is not a Wordpress theme. Every item inside Site Templates/Under Construction is an HTML template.
After you extract the zip file you will find a README text file with instructions on how to get the template setup on your server. Simply upload the files for the color theme that you want to use.
If you want to turn this into a Wordpress theme, it can be done, but as it is a coming soon page, the idea is to get up and running quick. This template is built so all you need to do is upload it to the root directory of your server and you are ready to go.
If you do wish to get a refund, as an author I do not have the ability to provide one directly. You will have to contact Envato support directly if this is the action you would like to pursue: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions! We would be happy to walk you through the setup process.
Best,
Bryan
Ok – got it. That helps. Was easy to download when I figured out it doesn’t work with Wordpress! I am having some trouble with the MailChimp integration – please take a look and let me know your advice. www.citizentekk.com
Hi Beth,
Sent you an email with a solution to your Mailchimp issue. You just needed to make a minor adjustment to your list URL ’s.
Best, Bryan
1 – How do we retrieve the Name and Email Address information?
1a – We do NOT use MailChimp. Is it required?
2 – Are we notified when someone signs up?
Hi turner2f,
Name and email is sent to Mailchimp via the ajax subscription form.
Creating a Mailchimp account is free and is an easy way to start collecting subscribers for a coming soon page.
Mailchimp will notify you and send you reports of your signups.
When your site is ready to launch you can always export your free Mailchimp database and upload to another email newsletter provider of your choice.
To setup the Vibrant Coming Soon template you will need to create a free Mailchimp account and then copy a link to paste into the Vibrant form code. This will ensure that new subscriptions are sent to your new Mailchimp account.
Hope this helps.
Bryan
Are there any LIMITATIONS concerning how many sign ups there are for a FREE MailChimp Account?
We are expecting quite a few sign ups. Maybe 500.
You can have 2000 subscribers and send 12,000 emails free each month forever.
