Is it possible to remove the header image on pages?
Hi, it is indeed, header images on both pages and posts are optional.

1. No, the homepage is made up of posts.
2. Afraid not, the carousel includes posts you mark as “featured”
3. There are very few options for this theme as it’s essentially just a blog. This should give you an idea of the options http://s.zilla.cc/HC13
Ohhhh I was hoping for a great corporate content theme. It would be better to have a static content block above the posts on the homepage…Also it would be good to have some sort of gallery, typography examples and shortcodes
Ah, unfortunately this isn’t a corporate theme, it’s a magazine/blog. There are different post formats, one of which is a gallery which has it’s own slideshow (example: http://demo.themezilla.com/viewport/disco/) and the typography can be seen in every post in the demo.
As for shortcodes, we no longer bundle themes with them as they’re a problem when users decide to change themes – results in a lot of unstyled content. Instead we have built a free shortcode plugin http://www.themezilla.com/plugins/zillashortcodes/

Wondering if support will be built in for the “swipe” gesture on mobile devices, for the slider? That’s literally the only thing that’s making me hesitate over the “buy” button.
Howdy, swipe controls will not be implemented any time soon as the nav buttons are large enough to be pressed on mobile devices, however, it’s a good suggestion for sure and will go onto “the list” for any future updates.

Hello, This template is exactly what I need. I have only one question: I need at each change of category (in the example is audio, gallery, video and standard) the header image is different. Is this possible? Thank you
Hi, it’s not something which is possible right out of the box, these pages (as they general have no way to administer them within WP) use a default image of your choice.
It would be possible to use a different image for each category, however, you’d need to modify the header file to add them manually. In short, it’s possible, but you’d have to mod the files.

One question: Can we change the responsiveness of the menu bar… It would be nice for an iPad can see the Navigation instead of the little = icon for menu..

Hi, it’s not an “option” so to speak but should you want to change that aspect of the navigation then you’d just need to change the point at which the nav is created. It’s a fairly simple change to the CSS .
Last question before I buy! My mind’s made up.
One thing. If I first visit the demo URL on the iPad in portrait orientation, and then turn the iPad to landscape orientation, I cannot see the full nav menu. It is “zoomed in” for some reason. Is this a bug?
Sooo wish that swipe gestures were available for the full screen images, but otherwise in awe of how gorgeous this is on the iPad. thanks for creating such a nice theme!

No that’s not a bug of the theme more of a bug with orientation changes with iOS devices. There are some pretty hacky solutions out there which could be looked at but they’re not 100% fool proof. Either way we’ve left pinch/zoom untouched so you are free to zoom in/out as you wish.

Hi, video cannot be used within the slider, however, you can use video in the viewport for video formatted posts. Example: http://demo.themezilla.com/viewport/real-celebrity-families-of-california-north-and-south-vimeo/

@verycaroline, is not an iOS device bug either. The theme uses <meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width,initial-scale=1”>, if you use <meta name=”viewport” content=”initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1”> instead the “change orientation” will be fine
I just purchased the theme.. but noticed the font is different in the sub header in your example compared with the PSD .. its a smaller more bold font in the psd.. but i’d like to know what you used for the online example.

Hi, great theme! Is it possible to integrate buddypress and bbpress in theme? Do you maybe know where I can check any example of theme running with buddypress or bbpress?
Hi, the theme hasn’t been specifically built to integrate with either and so have not been tested – I wouldn’t be able to guarantee 100% compatibility with either. There is nothing out of the ordinary about the theme in terms of development however.
In short, I believe they would be fine (you might need a few styling tweaks) but I couldn’t offer you a guarantee.

Do you plan on adding videos(vimeo) to the slider an option anytime soon. If not, can it be done through the .php / CSS files? Thank you.
Hi, there are no immediate plans to add video to the slider featured on the homepage. Video can of course be used within the viewport area within posts (example: http://demo.themezilla.com/viewport/real-celebrity-families-of-california-north-and-south-vimeo ) however, when it comes to making the video a liquid width (which is what would be needed for the homepage slider) things get quite tricky.
A developer might be able to help you with this should it be a requirement.
