Unfortunately no, not for this one Jakub. If it is something you really want to get your hands on though feel free to email me. I have a html version but its very incomplete. I usually start putting PHP into my themes about half way through the HTML process is why.

Hi, I just purchased this theme and would like to set the homepage exactly as the one you show on the preview page.
Hi there, It’s simple enough and should only take a few minutes. It outlines how to setup the home page / blog page / contact page / in the helpfile that came with the theme. You will need to create a page, make the page template ‘home page’ then in the settings tab > reading choose that page as your home page. You can then go ahead and create some slides and portfolio items etc.

I just purchased it and I’m setting up the site. Now here’s the follow problem: I created a portfolio page and a couple of portfolio items. The filters are working great on the portfolio page and the items are all shown here, but when I click on one of the items I get the 404 error page instead of the page of the portfolio item. This happens at all the items.
Can you help me?

Hi there Glash, can you provide me with a link to the site? It sounds like it has something to do with the permalinks. It’s most likely a problem with the way your wordpress is setup. But if you send me the link Ill have a look’see.

Just have 1 portfolio item at the moment.
I don’t know if it has something to do with it, but your manual says I have to create a new portfolio item through “Posts”, but I couldn’t manage to get the posts to be filtered at the portfolio page, so I created it through “Portfolio”.
Nevermind, already found the problem! It were the permalinks, just needed to be saved again

I like this theme, but before I buy it I would like to know if it’s possible to add (excerpts of the) blogposts to the homepage?
Hi there, to be straight forward no, you cannot include post excerpts on the home page. You can choose to display blog posts instead of portfolio posts. And you can also include whatever content you like on the home page below latest “posts / portfolio” items area. I did a mock up for you to see what that looks like. But thats about it.

I still have another question: Is it possible to remove the footer? (I mean the one where you can assign widgets to)
Sure, it will require you to open footer.php in a text editor. Then delete lines 14 through to 21.
That will remove that area of the site completely (the footer widgets area). You will still have the copyright area though. If you also want to remove that, get rid of the lines 33 through to 57. Again thats in the footer.php
I wish there was an easier way for you to do that. I hope that will do?

Thanks! I just wanted the widget to be removed, and that worked out great!
The only problem left is: The footer still stays too big. If you look at http://www.jildouvisser.nl/diensten/ you can see there is no need for a scrollbar. However, it still shows a scrollbar.
I’m guessing there’s somewhere in the stylesheet a rule that needs to be changed, but haven’t figured it out yet.

Ahh! I did release a fix for the footer yesterday. I was going to say you should update the theme. BUT then I just looked on mine and your right, there is always an additional 50px always whenever the content is not tall enough.
To fix it just copy / past this code in the theme options custom css.
copyright { padding: 0px !important;}
copyright .container { padding-top: 25px !important;}
Thanks for pointing that out, Ill make sure to include it in the upcoming update. Also, be sure to download the latest version and override your style.css and custom.js (in the JS folder). If you haven’t already.

I recently emailed you but figured others might be having the same issues as me so I figured I’d post here too.
First off, beautiful theme
but there are a few things I’d like to clarify…
1) My portfolio projects show up on the homepage and on the Portfolio page but when I click on the thumbnail I only see a 404 page. The permalinks are pretty simple so I have no idea why this is happening.
2) When I click on the blog link in the menu, is there any way I can have my most recent posts shown? Right now, the main body is blank and I have to click on a Recent Post from the side widget in order to see my posts.
3) Any way to change the date format on the Recent Posts widget? Right now it’s reading 13/09/12 but I’d prefer it to be 09/13/12.

1. Someone else had this problem the other day, I told them that it was definitely a problem with the permalink and they went back and re-saved the permanlinks and that fixed the issue. Im not sure why that would happen but I dont see how the theme can affect it. Also make sure you’re running the latest version of wordpress.
2. It sounds like you haven’t made the blog page your blog page. Which sounds silly i know but you need to go into settings > reading and choose the page you created and called “blog” to actually be the page that is your blog. Just like how you set the home page to be your home page.
3. Good point! I didn’t cater for people are who used to the date being the other way around. I will add that option in tomorrows update. For now though you can edit go edit the code directly if you want. I have made some instructions for you which can be found here http://snippi.com/s/6pa2qb3. Otherwise just sit tight for the update.
Just purchased this beautiful theme. Couple of issues I’m havinging… 1) Same and duder, I’d like to change the date format. 2) I can’t get the blog to work, maybe I’m just super over looking it in the help file, but I can’t figure out how to create a blog page. 3)I get an error message “Cheatin’ huh” when I try to upload an image for the portfolio image. Hi There, As you have the same issues as duder I will just say what I told him.
1. I will put out an update today or tomorrow with that option in it. But if you do want to change it right now you can do so by following these instructions http://snippi.com/s/6pa2qb3.
2. You need to set the blog page as you would the home page. Go into reading > settings and set your posts page to the blog page you created. Also make sure you are running the latest version of wordpress.

Is there an easy way to change the main fonts in the header tags? Google Fonts? I can add a Google fonts plugin if needed, just wanted to see before I purchased this theme.

Hi Thomas,
The headers font is defined in the stylesheets. However, I just did a test using the WP google fonts plugin and everything seems to update and change fine. The only problem was the nav menu, the font did not update. If you want to change the font you will need to use either custom css or just open style.css and remove the font from the nav menu. Hope that helps.
Will the theme work with .mp4 or .avi files as well? The video pages on the portfolio only list .ovg and .m4v. Thanks!
To make sure all current browsers can display the videos you need to use .ovg and .m4v …. Which I know isn’t the norm for most video files, however, finding a free video converter is very easy to do online. It took me a few minutes to convert my video files from avi and mp4. I also once just changed .avi to .ovg in the file name and it worked. But I don’t suggest that.
Also…is the theme compatible with prettyphoto or some kind of lightbox function to use on the portfolio?
Hi there, the theme does not come with any Lightbox functionality if that’s what you mean? You would have too use a plugin, but Im not sure how that would work sorry.

Hi Menthe, Where abouts are you seeing this message? Is debug mode on? lists ping back was something I used in an earlier theme and viewr doesn’t actually take advantage of that, I must of left it in the functions file by mistake. You can ignore it, but thanks for letting me know, I’ll remove it so others don’t get this message.

Can the slider on the homapge support video ? I would like to put only 1 slide to my vimeo demoreel, can i do that whit this templates ?
Hi Julien,
No the slider on the homepage (or any slider for that matter) does not support video. The slider on the home page is however created by the content like a regular post. There might be a way around it if you had a transparent image and put an iframe in the slide content with the embedded video.
But Don’t hold me to that, cause it might not work!

Which ways are there to add WP Custom Fields to the Portfolio posts? I can’t seem to enable “Custom Fields” when I click “Screen Options” – Any ideas?
Hi there, custom fields on the portfolio are not by default support. To have portfolio posts support custom meta replace line 68 of theme-posttypes.php which is found in the functions folder with the below.
‘supports’ => array(‘title’,’editor’,’thumbnail’,’custom-fields’ )
That should do the trick.
How can i remove the post date from each portfolio page?
Also, is it possible to make the featured image boxes larger on the portfolio page? For example 2 larger boxes across instead of 4 small ones?

Removing the post date isn’t something that is doable from the wordpress backend. You will need to edit the file single-portfolio.php and remove line 330.
In regards to the 4 column vs 2 column portfolio. No this is not possible. It would require a bit of editing in the functions.php and the css.php. I would recommend getting a web developer to do it for you. It shouldn’t take them any more than 30 minutes to an hour.

How can I control the speed of the slider and the fades?
Hi there, You will have to edit that information in the custom.js file which can be found in the js folder. For example line 57 is:
fadeSpeed: 300,
300 being 300 miliseconds. There is also a bunch of other options as well.
Thinking of buying this theme. Wondering if there is option for content widgets on the home page that are not portfolio items?

Hey there, Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately no, there aren’t any places on the home page for widgets.
You can include any content below the boxes though. You can also disable the portfolio boxes completely so they don’t show up. Leaving you with just the content area.
