Yes, author info on reviews is working. Make sure you set the option and also have something in the bio of the user.

I’ve had to disable the Marquee, the itemprop and large chunks of text /style script from the footer in order to get my site W3C validated.

80% of the errors are created because of a couple of them. Also w3c isn’t a holy grail to me with some little things – but i will look into it maybe someday.
The social icons are like that to get hi-res display so they need to stay that way.
- Do you plan to build some ad support for header banners and sidebar ads into the theme?
- How hard would it be to style the tag widget to make tags look like tiles of the same size? (See footer of this theme for an example)

1. The theme has a simple ad manager in which you can just put in the html or javascript code for a banner, wether it’s your own hosted banner or some code from an affiliate program. Then you can insert the banner either by shortcode inside post/page content, or use the connected widget to place it somewhere in a widgetized area ( header top right, sidebar or footer ). In preview3 you see an example of having a banner image in the header ( http://viewr.chapterthemes.com/preview3/ )
2. That would be a piece of cake with very little CSS
Thanks for the reply. I had AdBlocker enabled in my browser which is why i couldn’t see the banners – DUH!
With regards to styling the way tags display in widget/footer, is that something you could do? I’m a bit comfortable with CSS, but your design experience and knowledge of the theme would definitely produce a much better result.

That’s probably because the ratio of the image. Maybe it’s just too wide comparing to it’s height and you get a strange cropping by the WordPress image size.
I would like the slider to be shown as the preview 2 how can I do that?

Under appearance > theme option > general: check the option: Homepage slider – use full width image
Do I need an update to do that, beacuase that option is not right now in the themeoptions section

Just one two things, is it possible not to show the text on the slider? and I alredy select and put the url of my social media, but the icones that appear next to the logo are not being displayed, why this happens?

Hi, i didn’t know you already where working with a previous version. The place in the header where the icons are is now a widgetized area. Go the appearance > widgets and put the social media icon widget in the header widget area and you’ll have your social icons back in place.
Removing the titles inside the slider will require some customization for the slider function and also the javascript since it’s hiding and showing the titles.
can you sell this review plugin along with the style separately?
Unfortunately no, the whole feature is too wired in the theme itself. But we’re currently busy rewriting the whole system as a separate plugin. Don’t know when it will be done though.
Only way now is to complete restyle the theme itself if you want another design.

Sorry about that. It was visible in the backend but isn’t used anywhere. It was fixed and removed in the latest update available at the moment. You should download the latest version and update – then it’ll be gone.

You can create a footer menu by using a custom menu widget and place it in one of the footer widget areas. You can set this all up through appearance > widgets. But first you should create a menu through appearance > menus so you can later choose your created menu to use in the menu widget.

I have noticed that neither the blog title nor the site description is shown on the homepage also not in h1. Is it possible to add these easily per custom css or something similar for seo reasons?

If you mean the site description meta tag for like google, this could be added using a SEO plugin. Standard WordPress shows no description meta tags ( see http://codex.wordpress.org/Meta_Tags_in_WordPress ).
H1 tag is not per se necessary on a blog homepage – but if you’d like you can manually add one inside the homepage template.

I’m trying to update the theme in wordpress . I downloaded the zip file again and tried to upload it onto wordpress, however it keeps coming back with error message. Am I meant to name the zip file differently in order for it to work? please advise
Also I cannot seem to get posts off the home slider. I untick the box within the edit post but it doesn’t seem to react to it and when I went back after I updated it the slider box is still ticked. Any idea?

The problem with the checkbox is fixed in an update a while ago. So it should be good after you’ve updated.
The best way to update is to just unzip the viewr.zip file, and upload and rewrite the old files through FTP.
If you can’t get it to work email me and i’ll see what i can do.
Hi there, thanks for the reply. I’ve updated the theme through ftp. However my page layout has changed and the home slider bar has gone. I’ve checked all the setting in wordpress and they appear to be correct but they don’t seem to correspond at all. Also I didn’t have the comment and date on the corner of all posts (I think you have fixed it for me originally).

Yes, i’ve looked up the emails about that. Add the following CSS rule to the stylesheet: article .postinfo { display:none; }

Is there a way to show lasts posts (full post with the images inside) like a simple blog? If I choose latests entries in Reading options I see posts sorted in 3 colums and only text with no images.

You have 3 possible blog/archive layouts ( http://viewr.chapterthemes.com/preview2/archive/ ) . To set the archive layout go to Appearance > theme options > general: “Choose archive layout”.
But, these will not show the content, and the thumbnail must be a featured image. So unfortunately there’s no option to show full posts as an archive/blog.
