Hi, I want to purchase your theme, but I want to know if ot there is possible to deactivate the shop and cart functions to use it only as a showcase but keeping all other functions, like detail view, other pictures and reated products?
Also I want to ask you if there is easy to connect to a merchant account different from the ones you mention here, because, since I’m in a different country than the U.S. , many of the payment systems you have won’t work good in our currency (colombian pesos). that in order that in the future The client will like to have a fully functional e-shop.

Andres P.

Hey,
Yes, you can use Viroshop as a showcase. To accomplish this you would need to skip a few steps in the documentation and remove some code from the header.php file that displays the cart icon and the cart total.
I have listed the supported currencies in a recent comment further up the page. What merchant were you thinking of integrating? The shopping cart functionality supports the PayPal API and Google checkout.
Matt
is there any way I can accept credit cards via a form that will email me the info instead of going through pay pal? for example when a shopper is ready to check out, instead of being directed to pay pal they would be directed to a form where they can put in their credit card info and address and that info could be sent to me via an email? I would be willing to pay extra for help,
Hey buddy, i responded to your question earlier
Hey Matt,
is there any solution to fix too light search button in IE (tested with v.8 )?
Hello,
I purchased this theme and I am working on a lot of the amazing features. I’ve got most figured out, except for the Member Register. I have followed all of the steps in the .pdf file, but when I setup the “Login” page in the “Theme My Login” in my widgets and setup a Registration page with the proper redirect template and code, I never see an area for new registering customers to type their name, contact info, etc. to set up a new account.
Hey Russell
Make sure you are logged out when on the register page.
You should be able to access the register page via going to this url:
http://www.domain.com/login/?action=register&instance=tml-page
The pages that you need to refer to in the Documentation are 14 and 15.
Send me an email with your details and i will have a look
Matt
Hi Matt,
The theme is terrific – the backend has been really easy to implement. One issue / question. I need to be able to have more options in a product selection – like 12 colors instead of 5.
http://www.lunawebsites.com/moddogshop/dog-prints/mod-french-bulldog-print/
I did try to add options in the Settings/Custom Field Template – and it breaks when I add more option fields. Any suggestions?
Hey
Yes in the next version i will incorporated more field values and options, you are on the right track in changing the Custom Field Template settings, when you mention it breaks i believe you are referring to the post settings css style, don’t worry about this as this won’t have any effect on the theme functionality.
Locate the php file product-single.php located in the includes folder. On line 47 you will see the start of the code for the first dropdown selection.
Notice the pattern of code….
<?php $itemdropvaluefive = get_post_meta($post?>ID, 'First Option Value Five', $single = true); ?> <?php if($itemdropvaluefive !== '') { ?> <option value="<?php echo $itemdropvaluefive; ?>"><?php echo $itemdropvaluefive; ?></option> <?php } else { echo ''; } ?>You can add additional values or fields if you like..
<?php $itemdropvaluesix = get_post_meta($post?>ID, 'First Option Value Six', $single = true); ?> <?php if($itemdropvaluesix !== '') { ?> <option value="<?php echo $itemdropvaluesix; ?>"><?php echo $itemdropvaluesix; ?></option> <?php } else { echo ''; } ?>Make sure you set the Custom Field Template values the same as your new values..i.e.. “First Option Value Six”
Hope this helps.
Matt
awesome! Thanks Matt, your code edits plus editing the Custom Field Template worked—it changes your pretty color coding, but so far the add’l menus seem to work great.
One more glitch/question I’m seeing—I tried to set the Viroshop Cart Options to Percentage Shipping – but no shipping gets added to the cart with the option enabled. The flat rate shipping applied to indiv products works fine, but a % rate is preferable. Thoughts?
thanks!
Any way to help us out who do international shipping? Flat rate vs international is a big difference in shipping cost.
Hey,
You can set different shipping prices in the Write Post section, this will place a dropdown menu with different shipping types for the customer to select a preferred shipping method.
Matt
Hi I’m very interested in your theme, could it be localized? I want to create an Italian shop..
Does it support euros natively? Does it support multi-language? the registration process works good?
Please reply soon I’ll buy it ASAP !
Hey
I have listed the supported currencies in a recent comment further up the page.
Thanks for the interest
I haven’t personally tested the theme with different languages however a recent client has managed to get the shopping cart functionality and admin side of things translated to Swedish.
Matt
wanna buy, but how does customer register?
Hey, in the latest version 1.2 this feature has been added along with documentation. Take a look at the demo and you will find the “Register” link in the navigation.
Also when an unregistered user wants to add a product to the wishlist they are directed to the register page.
Cheers
Hello, I asked for some help with the theme that i have purchased and i see you responded to others who commented before and after me but not mine????
Can i please get some support?
Hi, Great theme:) I cant figure out how to… 1.take out the log in / members sidebar altogether. 2.make the homepage picture a taller size with nothing else but the footer visible. 3. have the shopping cart without discount coupon code option Can you please help me with these questions. thank You!
PLEASE ?
HELLO ? is there a reason you are ignoring my questions???? seriously/? am i asking them wrong or something? did you already answer these? i looked through all the comments and couldn’t find them…. PLEASE try to understand from my side that seeing you answer many other peoples questions after mine and not answering mine is really annoying…
Hey,
I’m not ignoring you or your comment, i passed your question by mistake which happens sometimes. I’m sorry about that.
I try my best to answer all questions as fast and informative as possible.
1) There are a number of ways to remove the login panel from the sidebar. The simpliest way is to remove the Theme-My-Login plugin. Another way is to open the sidebar.php file and remove this block of code:
<div id="sidebar_in"> <?php if (function_exists('theme_my_login')) { theme_my_login(); }?> <?php if (is_user_logged_in()) : ?> <?php global $user_identity;get_currentuserinfo();?> <div class="display-user"> <img src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/images/user_silhouette.png" /> <p>Hi, <?php echo $user_identity;?></p> </div> <?php else :?> <?php endif;?> <?php if (is_user_logged_in()) : ?> <div class="wishlist"> <p>Wishlist Items</p> </div> <?php mfp_display("order_by=post_title&remove_link=x");?> <?php else :?> <?php endif;?> </div>You will also see this code in the blog-sidebar.php file located in the includes folder.
2) Locate the nivo-slider.css found in the /includes/js/ folder. Open up the stylesheet and look for this chunk of code:
#slider { position: relative; clear: both; height: 500px; }Change the height of pixels to your preferred dimension.
With basic knowledge of HTML you can delete some code found in the index.php that will remove the carousel and the product thumbnails. There is an option in the Viroshop Theme Settings that will allow you to disable the product carousel from the homepage. From line 12 to 105 in the index.php file is the code for the carousel and thumbnails.
3) You can disable the coupon code in the Viroshop Theme Options under the “Coupon Settings” tab.
Again, i do apologize for bypassing your question.
Regards
Hi Matt,
I am just curious if your Viroshop Theme can have the “MagicZoom” widget downloaded, so that customers can scroll over product images in detail? I am very new to WordPress…but your theme says it’s for beginners!
Very professional looking theme…thanks for creating it!
Dave
Thanks Dave,
Yes it should be pretty simple to integrate MagicZoom, however distributing the widget via ThemeForest is against the license terms and will require an extended license which is £695.
I may consider installing the trial version in the next theme update as an optional extra feature and if users want to purchase the single license, they can
Matt
hello i see that you using the title of the product as an image can you remove it and use a reg text instead ?
thanks
Hey,
I don’t quite understand what you mean, you don’t have to use images for your products however the theme would look best with images.
Matt
Hi Matt,
THANK YOU ! so much for answering my questions, everything worked perfectly! but i dont have a coupon setting in my options area (is this an update i didn’t upload?) what do i need to do to upload the right settings pages without messing up what i already have done?
Thank you so much again for getting back to me, i understand you can miss some questions when you have so many to answer
And again awesome theme!
-Ric
Your welcome Ric
Yes you will need to download the latest version from ThemeForest for the coupon feature. I have included an Update Documentation to help you update to the latest version.
Matt
Hello i was trying to install the page nav plugin and i got this error
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting T_STRING in /home/content/d/o/l/dolciejones/html/rallifordhall/store/wp-content/plugins/wp-pagenavi/wp-pagenavi.php on line 181
How do i fix this i went into the wp-pagenavi.php but i dont know what line 181 is and what to change.. can u please help.. Thank you!!
Hey,
I’m not sure why you receive this error, Does the Page Navi function properly after you have activated the plugin?
If the plugin doesn’t work, delete the entire plugin and reupload a fresh one.

Hey Matt,
Thanks again for all of your hard work, you are a great designer!
That being said i have another question for you, is there any way to have more than one coupon code?
Thanks again for your time let me know if there is anything I can do for you!
—Jake
Cheers Jake,
For the time being you can only use one coupon code. I will consider this for the next update.
Matt
How to I make the images appear in the blog section?
Hey,
To display images in the blog section you will need to modify line 23 in the blog-template.php file found in the includes folder.
Replace this piece of code:
With
<?php the_content(''); ?><pre> You will need to use the more tag in the wordpress post admin section to shorten the text in the blog section. Matt</pre>Sorry, the code went funny,
<?php the_content(''); ?>More information can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_content

Also, I need to set up fixed shipping for my customers. For international and for USA shipping as well. The way that its set up now is that the customers are being charged shipping for each item they purchase. Could we eliminate that and just have the customer select either international or usa without being screwed over by having to pay shipping per piece?
Hey,
I will consider this idea in the next update, perhaps a dropdwon box with different countries and when one is selected the shipping price changes.

Matt
