Hello everyone!
For the last few days support has been delayed due to the network being down. I apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
On the positive side, due to the network issues this has given me time to prepare an update. Stay tuned as this week, version 2.3 will be available to download via ThemeForest.
PS: Support will resume as normal.
Cheers
Hi – Just getting in touch to ask about the billing form. It does not give a warning of the fields that have not be entered correctly, or not at all. There is not the feature to show where the customer may have gone wrong. Is this something you could add?
Many thanks,
Hi,
What forms are you referring to?
Just testing the checkout process, validation has been applied to the billing forms.
Cheers
Is there a way to make the product Buy one get one free with the woocommerce plugin?
Hi,
I don’t think this feature is built-in around the current coupon system. You would need an addon plugin that is capable of this.
Cheers
Frodo,
This is the css that is used to produce the styled inputs.

Hi Frodo,
Version 2.3 is now available to download, you can see the change log in the item description. Fixes to make the theme compatible with the latest copy of WordPress mostly and backend changes (better UI) to the slider properties.
The files that are modified are in the docs.

Hi,
There seemed to be some conflicts when updating to WordPress 3.5, These issues have now been resolved and the new update is available for you to download.
Cheers
The featured items don’t scroll automatically while the option is activated in the admin panel… but I read that a new version will be available soon, so I will wait
Hi ppdy,
The update is available to download however the auto scroll feature has been removed until the carousel can support this. My apologies.

Hi,
Purchased site and been testing with your sample data and found the archive page layouts are not correct http://www.listersguitars.co.uk/2012/12/
Can you please advise corrective action?
By the way the design flexibility is awesome – unique back ground images on each page is great! Recommend buying theme.
Thanks
Paul

After updating the theme my products no longer post on my shop page or allow me to purchase any items.
Nevermind found out what was wrong. Thanks for the great theme.
Thankyou
I have updated with the last version and it works fine. Thank you, it’s really a good job. I appreciate the price displayed under the name of the product and not over
Thanks for your kind words, really appreciate it.
I want to sell unlocks services and to make sure I have few fllowing requirement if your theme can fulfill it
1) All products I sale is based on model – then their catagory – and their sub catagory – I am not sure woocommerce has this option or not but if you can inform.
2) After selecting product, does this theme let me add an option where customer can add serial number in text field and can remove quantity box?
Hi,
First thanks for your interest in Viroshop.
Viroshop requires a third-party plugin WooCommerce to handle the eCommerce functionality which is free. I must say the plugin and theme is very versatile and you will most likely be able to setup the shop exactly how you want. With the number of extensions available for WooCommerce growing daily you could choose to extend the features for the store further.
1) You will probably find the WooCommerce product attributes feature to handle those categories or products based on model and help narrow down or filter the results. Product tags and product categories would also be the way to go.
2) A couple of features you might be interested around this question. Take a look at this product, notice the dropdowns for “Size” and “Colour”, you could alternatively use a textbox for the user to enter their custom info for the product. Optionally you could have a textbox on the checkout page for custom info.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers
Hi Matt,
Where can I download the new version. Usually at right top right? Now i see purchase only it does not give me an download link. Do we have to buy the script again for the new update? No right?
Have a great xmas.
Fro
Hi Fro,
Updates are included when you purchase the theme. You should be able to find the download link in the “Downloads” area with the original account you used to purchase Viroshop.
Happy Holidays
Matt
Hi there! Wonderful upgrade – i am still working through the items right now, but super-impressed. One question thus far – am I still able to show multiple images of an item – in the previous version (like 1.5 i think) we were able to upload 3- 4 images for customers to see. I am running an online clothing store and need all views of the clothes…
please advise?
Hi!
Thankyou, i’m glad you like the update
You can set multiple images for a single product by uploading via clicking the “Set featured image” link. A window dialogue will appear and you can simply select the files from your computer and drag to this section. More information you may be interested can be found here.
Have a great new year
Hi I’m having real issues with the Image, NivoSlider & Youtube links.
I want to add these to my homepage (which is the Shop page) but firstly when I try the YouTube and static image options, they do not work.
Secondly according to instructions when I upload for the NivoSlider, it’s supposed to give me an option to upload multiple images / gallery. However, when I set featured image – it only gives me the option to upload a single image – which then doesn’t show up?
Am I missing something, help please?!
Thanks

Hi Floydd,
You could try importing the sample data found in the theme folder, this might help demonstrate how elements are displayed.
Here are the steps taken to setup the NivoSlider.
To set a static image select an image from your Media Library and click the “Set featured image” link.
In version 3.5 of WordPress they have changed the look of the Image Media Window so the screens in the docs are different however the same principals apply, i will update this.
Note you can only choose one of the three slider types, if you want to use Youtube on the same page you may find the shortcode useful.
Let me know if you need further help.
Cheers
thanks dude! apologies for posting my subsequent question twice! appreciate your quick responses!
No problem
Sent you an e-mail. Please response.
Thanks, got your email.
Hi there!
Thanks for the reply!
However I’m still having a problem: when I click on the “Set Featured Image” link, it takes me to the media upload page, but only allows me to select ONE image. When I do so and publish, still nothing appears on selected Viroshop page. I have tried uploading fresh images from my desktop and also using the existing ones in the media library – neither works.
I have looked at your documentation advice again – and it seems that the “Gallery” option doesn’t appear when I upload images, I only have 2 options for source media when I click the Set Featured Image link – “Upload Files” and Media Library”. I’m using Google Chrome on a Mac if that makes any difference…
Sorry to be a pain but I simply have no idea what to do.
Floydd
Hi,
After you have uploaded your images for the NivoSlider via the media upload window, click on the “Media Library” tab and choose the “Uploaded to this page” from the dropdown menu.
You should see the images for the slider.
Rather than clicking on one of those images and then clicking the “Set featured image” button, click the “X” top right corner instead. So your not setting any image to be featured.
An update with updated documentation is in the review process here at ThemeForest.
EDIT - Ive just looked through your earlier question and realised your trying to add modules to the Shop page which is a page created by WooCommerce. Unfortunately there is no easy way to add content to this page.
A workaround would be to publish a new page and make use of the shop shortcodes to display your products. However when you set this page to homepage you will have a slider taking up the width of the content area. I will create a page template for you that will remove this option.
Cheers
Hi there! Once again – really appreciate your fast responses…
It’s still not working even though I followed the instructions to the letter. The “images uploaded” appear, but when I click X and the Media Upload window closes, and I publish, nothing appears on the published page itself. Unless you have any further advice / tips – I guess I’ll wait for your updated documentation? Incredibly frustrating – the NivoSlider is the best part of the shop page design….
Floydd
Floydd,
I made an edit to the previous comment, i think it may be the shop template that is published by WooCommerce that may have the slider issue. Reply to my previous comment.
Cheers
Thanks so much – I will try it –
Great theme, quick question:
I’m unsure if this will be covered in the next update however, my “State Field” in the checkout form is being displayed and functioning much differently than the country field. It’s very difficult to checkout and I’m thinking this is a 3.5 glitch? Looking forward to some help, link to the problemed area is https://growsmithco.com/checkout/, thanks so much!
- Connor
Hi Connor,
By the sounds of it, it could possibly be a css issue, over the last couple of months since we released the major update with the compatibility of WooCommerce a number of similar bugs have be found on the way and been fixed.
Testing your shop and functionality the checkout page seems to have a jQuery conflict, i am unable to display the calculate shipping options. I noticed you have the Contact Form 7 plugin activated, it may well be WooCommerce has conflicts with the plugin in the checkout. Try disabling the plugin, will the contact form shortcode be suitable?
I’ll be able to see and styling issues once the shipping options are available. By default the dropdowns are visually designed using a jQuery plugin, the following code is found in the assets/js/jquery.custom.js file,
$(".orderby, .summary select, .shipping-calculator-form select").selectBox({ 'menuTransition': 'slide', 'menuSpeed' : 'fast' });You may wish to remove this for debugging.
Hope you have a great New Year!
