Your site is coming on nicely, may i seggest perhaps changing the logo color to a lighter colour? seems the dark background doesn’t really give a high contrast with the logo.

In the New Year i want to focus more on providing better features for Viroshop whilst continuing to produce a modern approach for the design. I would like to hear more design details regarding the checkout process. I’m taking your feedback into consideration and will start work on the forms.

I have made some changes or added details to the login form, that i believe provides a better contrast.

This sounds like a bug in the earlier versions of Viroshop, what copy do you have? The latest is 2.3 that is compatible with WooCommerce.

You can download the update via the “Downloads” tab here at ThemeForest.

The “Shop” page is a default template that is created by WooCommerce, by setting this page as the “static page” you will not have the advantage of having the slider.

You will need to publish a new page, from there you can upload your slider images and use the shortcode to display the recent products.

Via the WordPress admin area locate to Tools > Import > WordPress, then you can import the sample.xml file.

No worries, you will be able to find the tutorial for the slider in “Setting up the homepage” in the documentation.

It’s fairly simple, you click the “Set featured image” link which brings up a modal box where you can upload your slides, once finished rather than setting a featured image you close the modal box instead.

With the .po file you can translate the English text to Swedish.

1. You can use the WordPress custom menus to create a “Register” link either in the header or sidebar, the register page is the WooCommerce “My Account: page, you will have to enable registration via WooCoommerce > Settings > General > Allow registration on the “My Account” page .

2. Most likely the string for the text to be translated needs to be updated in the .po file, where in the theme you see “Member” and “Follow up” so i can provide you with an update.

By default WooCommerce has a lightbox feature for the products, this can be demonstrated by clicking the main product image in the product description. Is this what you mean?

Thats a pretty neat lightbox. To implement something like this you would need to develop an extension to WooCommerce as the plugin handles the products, functionality and the lightbox. Its a shame WooCommerce didn’t implement the lightbox example you mentioned as it looks alot better and more versatile.

There could be a plugin available that could offer a similar lightbox as an extension for WooCommerce.

I will jot down the idea as i may develop something like this in the future.

The theme is compatible with WooCommerce 1.6.6. You can find the tutorial to setup the homepage slider or slider module in the documentation under the “Homepage” setup.

Hmm, thats weird.. I downloaded from ThemeForest and the latest version is 2.3. Open up the style.css file, the version number is located at the top of the stylesheet.

The shipping criteria you want is possible, you will have to enable Free Shipping, Flat Rate and International Delivery in the shipping options via the WooCommerce options.

So for free shipping you will have an option to select the specific countries this is made avaialble. This kind of option is also available in the flat rate and international shipping.

The nivo-slider.css file has the styles for the slider located here,

viroshop/includes/sliders/nivoslider/nivo-slider.css

This css will control the height of the slider, either place in the stye.css or use the custom one.

The header has margins that you could also control.

Also, I have a plugin that restrict wp content access and blocks direct PHP access to any file inside wp-content. would it affect the theme e.g. login, appearance and do you recommend this? thanks.

Add media button not working after upgrading to wordpress ver. 3.5

You should be able to update or overwrite to the latest Viroshop version without the worry of options being changed using FTP. If you made any changes to the files like the stylesheets be sure to make a backup of these and not overwrite them.

In the documentation you can see what files have been affected for the update in the changelog.

The media button issue has been fixed in the new update making the theme compatible with WordPress 3.5.
