Frequently Asked Questions
My Fox Contact Forms aren’t working. What do I do?
This is common with this extension & transfer from time to time.
What you need to do is verify that the form info is present in the admin area. Login to the admin, navigate to the menu manager > main menu > ‘contact’ or ‘schedule’ menu item is where you where edit or see the individual form in the backend.
If the form information is there, we simply need to manually re-upload the files to your server. In the quickstart zip file that you extracted for the installation, there are two folders that you want to upload: 1. the components > com_foxcontact folder to the same destination (/components) on your server and 2. the administrator > components > com_foxcontact to the same destination (/administrator/components) on your server.
This will be best achieved by a third party FTP program. This should solve the problem. If you need further assistance, please send us your FTP credentials (FTP hostname, FTP user, FTP password).
I don’t have accents for some languages on my titles and headings…what do I do?
The is due to the font resource package that we used in the template for the KC Cufon Font Replacement Plugin. If you need a different resource package, download the font – the font for the titles and headings. Font information can be found in your help documentation. Next you’ll want to navigate here and generate a resource file that works for you. http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/
When you’ve downloaded the generated file, you must upload this to your server in the KC Cufon Font Replacement plugin. If you’ve used the same font, you can simply overwrite the existing font resource file. This will be in the plugins > system > kc_cufon > fonts. The class styles are managed in the KC Cufon Plugin in the Extensions > Plugin Manager.
I installed the theme and the demo content but I’m getting this message: “The template for this display is not available. Please contact a Site administrator.”
This is likely a simple filename & transfer error during installation. It only happens on some servers due to settings. It is an easy fix.
1. Login to your admin area and set the default template to the “beez5” template in your extensions > template manager. 2. Navigate to the extensions > extension manager > click the manage link (or tab) and remove all of the “Vitality” templates. 3. Next, unzip or extract the “standalone” zip folder that was included with your ThemeForest download package. 4. Through the extension manager, upload the color style of your choice (zip file). 5. Navigate back to the extensions > template manager, remove any duplicates, and set the default theme to the one you just uploaded.
If you have installed the quickstart package correctly, you should see the theme of your choice with placeholder images. We’re working on the next update
My Twitter/Tweet module extension isn’t working or giving me an error…
Due to Twitter disabling the v1 API, the downloads for all Tweet Display Back releases prior to 3.0 are no longer available. You simply need to download the latest Tweet Display Back module and overwrite your existing version through the extension manager installer of your Joomla admin. You may find the latest release here: http://tinyurl.com/otg4vdf
