I am unable to get the feature in the portfolio items ‘Video and options’ to set the URL (Link to work) to work. I have tried to format it in various ways with no luck. I would like to have it link to another page within the site. Could you tell me how it should be formatted (i.e. ../otherpage).

I am also unable to successfully set a Slider Item’s ‘Slide options Link (also want to set it to a page within the website).

I wanted to pass on some info regarding my earlier post on the theme coming up in mobile format. Apparently this is only happening in firefox. I checked it out in IE, Chrome, Safari, & Opera and all is good in those browsers but for some reason firefox is coming up mobile, here is a link you can bring up in ff, http://www.debdwebhosting.com/playitcoy/

When I use the drop down menus on your demo in firefox the header of the list shows up (with dark orange background) but when I do the same thing in IE, you can not see the header of the list as it is white on a white background, not good. Please let me know if there is something in the css I can change to address this. Thanks!

I have no problems when I add portfolio items with images but for some slider images the large image is not showing. I can’t figure out what it making them show for some and not others (size, options?). All of the images show up on the “list” at the bottom but for some, the large image is not showing. The Home page is formatted with a portfolio (working well) and the dropdown Home2 is formatted with the slider (some work, some not).

But I still can not get URL links to work for either home page.

I’ve got another one for you, #5. When items in the menu have sub-items (drop downs), I am unable to select the main item and have it link to the page of that main item. This works ok in the mobile menu but not in side browsers menus. You can see examples of this here with Business Challenge and Media items, http://www.debdwebhosting.com/playitcoy/. This is true for IE, Chrome & Opera. I don’t know about firefox because it is stuck in mobile mode (item #1 above).

I’ve got problem #6 now. This looks to be an IE problem. When a single blog post is viewed, the footer area is messed up, too small, doesn’t fill the whole area. You can look at this in IE and see the problem, http://www.debdwebhosting.com/playitcoy/blog-example-2. Looks ok in Opera and Chrome, unknown in firefox.

I have #7 for you but it is very low priority as I think I can can just remove them. On the main blog page (listing) the pencil icon is on top of the words and doesn’t do anything. I assume it is there to view or add discussions but I do not see it do anything in any browser or mobile. Also there are scroll icons on the right side with all posts but the last post. These work somewhat but they overlay the text and I don’t think they really scroll to to correct location. I am going to go into the theme and try to remove these or maybe make the text area smaller. This item is a low priority for me but I thought you might want to know.

how to replace the white background?

Here is the status of the 8 bug items I found with the Vitux theme that were to be resolved with the latest download. Please let me know when the remaining broken items will be fixed. If you know only certain items are being fixed, please let me know in the future so that I don’t spend all of this time retesting again.

1 – Firefox in mobile – still broken (you did tell me this one was not fixed yet).

2 – Nav header items not showing in IE – they are still being covered up when a sub-item is being hovered, not happening in other browsers.

3 – URL links in portfolio items and slider items – Seem to be working ok in sliders (except for those with problem #4) but the URL links are NOT working for portfolio items.

4 – Slider images not showing – still the same, first 2 and the last one are being displayed, others are in the thumbnails but do not show large.

5 – Header nav items do not link – still do not work in all browsers, no change there.

6 – IE – Single blog item footer messed up – still incorrect.

7 – pencil and scroll items – don’t care, planning to remove.

8 – read more buttons – still not there.

Please let me know if you thought all of these items where to be fixed in this download. Of if you need more explaining regarding the problems. All problems can be seen on http://www.debdwebhosting.com/playitcoy/.

Winnerlicious – what you are seeing as a “blur” is a background overlay pattern that many full screen themes have. It can be set to “none” so you see the photo without the additional effect in the them options panel.

You can use shortcode to place a video in a page. Are you looking for a separate box to pop up in a lightbox or just place it on the page? I’ll let the developer answer that question but you might want to provide a little more detail on what you want to do.

I just wanted to post a thanks to the author for this theme! If you are considering this here are some things that I think set it apart from other themes that may seem similar. Fullscreen support for sliders on a home screen WITH AUDIO . Fullscreen backgrounds using self-hosted video, Vimeo (what I use), and Youtube. The ability to hide the menus when using the fullscreen home page and just see the photos (plus one button to turn menus back on).

The portfolio feature is beautiful as you will see in the demo. I really like the ability to sort by category and you can create your own categories. You can link to a portfolio post or another link.

There are really nice gallery features for your photos. I like the Flex Gallery and Full Screen galleries the best.

Learning any new theme always has a few challenges but I have been really happy with what I have been able to achieve. I don’t know the author other than his communication to help me with a few items. He has squashed out the bigger bugs and I’m sure he will work out any small ones. He has been responsive and helpful.

Also, i use an iPhone and iPad and this theme works really well on them! Everything seems to scale down well.

These comment sections often get filled up with support questions and I know I find it helpful to hear from other people when I am considering a theme. Hope you find this mini review helpful!

Hi, I think this theme can be really good to me, but before buy it I have some doubts.

If I want to create a youtube video playlist to advance to next or go back one video, is it possible? For an example if I want to show 7 of my videoclips in sequence, in same project, with an autoplay so you just watch and enjoy them without need of some clicks to play the second video, and then the third one… But if the user is watching video #6 and want to go back to watch #3 and navigate in this playlist. Is it possible with these theme? I know some youtube player plugin called autoplay but I don’t know if it is possible to use in this theme.

Where can ads be displayed on Vitrux?

Interesting theme. I have my eye on it. However, at the moment you have the category information covering the social media on the left sidebar. Also, on the responsive layout for my iphone, the homepage (the 1st thing you see) is the Year and Category. Is there anyway to not have that be the 1st thing that someone sees when they come to my site via mobile?
